So hey during the BLACKHAWK segment (2:42:40) you said you’d like to read them but don’t want to mess them up… have you tried asking ChatGPT for series and/or issue summaries yet? It’s an amaaaazing use for ChatGPT. I recently wanted to revisit GI Joe comics but I don’t own the entire run so I just asked ChatGPT to summarize issues 1-10… then asked for 11-20… and just continued with the pattern. You can also ask for specific story arc summaries, like, “tell me about the Cobra Island Civil War story arc”. Of course it’s not the same as actually reading the comics, but it really is an amazing alternative. Especially for comics you want to revisit or will likely never be able to afford. I’ll probably be exploring the Blackhawk comics this way (because of what you said about the similarities to GI Joe).
I love chat gpt, I use it daily. Never thought about using it to summarize series but that might be super useful to learn more about all the different comic series.

Awesome covers, things I don't own that I want at a price I want to pay etc. I never focus on one specific thing, that puts your blinders on. I look to see what is there and then make decisions. I am also always looking for amazing deals if there are books worth a lot more then the selling price etc. That way I am getting better books and more books for my dollar.
I was at the 2022 NYCC had a good ish time. But two things. It'll be nice the NYCC would tell you if artists are charging for autographs. And how does a convention runs out of swag?
I usually just buy something directly from the artist and usually they add the autograph for free. I think Adi Granov was the only person who added $10 for signature on top. Its usually only the really high in demand artist and writers that charge something. And Con exclusives always sell out quick, in fact most of the most in demand items you need to win a chance in their lotteries to have a chance to buy it. Its very frustrating but a lot of folks go to cons to clip the exclusives so they get eaten up fast.
Oh I dont even know, a lot of the times its not until I am there hunting that I find the most exciting things. I am gonna get in there hunt for old books then look for exclusives then meet artist to buy signed books etc. And then figure out what is fun while doing it.
I want to know, what is the limit? At what point in life do you say, 'Okay, I have enough comics.' ....and do you have the time to read each an every comic. Personally I have reached a time in my life that the teepee is full and I have enjoyed my accumulation/collection for the past 60+ years. It's time to say, 'Enough!' Older collectors are under the misconceptions that their children will enjoy the comics that their parents collected. HA! The first person that waves dollar bills in front of them will dump the entire collection for a song. Not being pessimistic, just realistic.I always enjoy your videos!👍
