Cleaned up ok! That's the most love that car has seen in a long time! Nice shout out to Dalton. I gave him the rear end for the holey goat. The car is quite the novelty for sure! I love what he did with it. Maybe this 66 will have a similar fate? Keep up the good work!
It’s medium haha it’ll look good with poppies patina on it. Daltons a cool dude got to meet him last year at no name nationals. I’m on the fence, I’m thinking I’ll keep the 69 GTO Pontiac powered and just LS 4 speed this one and beat the snot out of it!
1967 GTO , or Lemans, or Tempest. I love them all. Great over , under quad head lights. Thank you for taking us along on the adventure. Take care my friend.
Keep the GTO videos coming. I believe the black and chrome console is from a 1965 GTO. I had a 1965 with a 4 speed and I remember it looking like that.
It’s a cool piece for sure! I’ve got a few more things to get done and then I’m planning on jumping back on the 69 so we can get it together after almost a year of not working on it
That's going to be an awesome Goat 🐐 I believe the louvers you don't know what they come from belong on a boat. Keep up the great work and the awesome videos 👍✌️🇺🇲
That's awesome man...getting her back on the road will be fun enough. She don't need to be a beauty queen. She'll get more looks the way she is I think. I pulled a 63 GP from a property in W.P. Florida myself back in May. She was sitting on a trailer for some years . Car came from Washington state...so...she...is...crusty..lol, but a complete matching #s car with the 389 4bbl that actually started right up with can gas after some basic prep. And has the Rotomatic trans...😐 The frame rails are gone so I'm having a nice frame coming form from Frank's Pontiac Parts out in Cali. really nice folks there. The floor pans are pretty solid surprisingly. I'm going to do a "Rustomod" ...she'll be a budget build for sure. Will be fun to see her cruising the streets again. I may give her a different drivetrain at some point..a few options are on the table. Keep up the cool videos..Like to see cars like this given new life. And remember kids!...anything is fixable..no matter how far gone you think it is. Just need a plan, time, patience and $$...lol
I’m right there with you! As long as it’s been given new life and can cruse the streets and do a burn out…. It’s good enough! I’m probably gonna go LS on this one and just keep the 69 poncho powered. But you’re right about that time and money can make a world of difference haha
Weld up the holes on the flat steel spots like that section on the lip of the trunk there... take no time to buzzap that in with some stitch welding.... then grinder and paint the welder we ain't sort of deal [tractor paint]. Numbers match out the window. If you want to go strictly Pontiac... Butler Performance for that 400 you have for just crazy performance heads and intake... yada yada... Money gets up there a bit but... if you want to get faster for a whole lot less you'd drop a junkyard 6 Ltr LS into it or do the old auction thing to get a rolled Cadillac truck brad of 7.3 ltr LS for it [so much powah]. :-)
Hard to weld to rust haha! Gonna try and find some used sheet metal and probably go LS, you spend way to much money building a Pontiac just so it makes what a junk LS with a big ol camshaft will and the reliability won’t be there with the poncho
now u need a 65 to go with the grills u have.. timing chain cover is getting replaced on my 400 thats in my 65.. the old aluminum just turns to white powder after awhile... now it has a thin spot on the lower rad house inlet.... that 66 will be sharp.... happy wrenching.. T..
1964-1966 GTO had a 2 speed ST300 that was a Buick transmission with the switch pitch converter if you had a automatic option in the car. It was used By Buick Olds and Pontiac. Chevy used the Powerglide. The base transmission was a 3 speed stick and a 4 speed was a option.
@323Fabrication 67 was the first year for the 3 speed auto but only with the 400. I have a 67 Buick Special Deluxe bought new by my great grandparents. It has the factory V6 and ST300. I ran lacr and Pomona in Socal they run almost the full 1/4 in 1st gear on the floor. It ran low 18s at about 78 mph. I drove in about 60 miles from home did nothing to it points and dual exhaust that was about all. Pomona is about 25 miles I am close to Long Beach CA. I was like a nervous wreck lol hit like 900 light lol that didn't help.
@323Fabrication I think it has some high gears also. I have no problem on the freeways doing 80 to 85. The trim tag will decode W for the 2 speed group 2 and Z for the 3 speed auto.
That sounds like a cool ride! My dad tells me stories about drag racing back in the day with factory cars and the times some of them ran… it’s wild! I want to take the Chevy II to Montgomery Alabama and run the 1/4 with it
I got a kick out of your sound effects while shifting the car. My uncle had a goat same year. It ran and drove and he put a hitch on it and use it for pulling his boat and out of the lake at the landing. The car had no front clip. It ran great as I remember and it had a radiator and of course Port no sheet metal no grillor lights. I'm not sure what happened to it after you passed away. It's been a while back.
Dude, listen to me. Put the 389 2 speed in it. How do I know? my buddy had a 67 LeMans 2 dr with a 65 389 2bbl {numbers showed it was the police and taxi engine, with 11:75:1 compression} stock 3.23 rear end that did 112 in the quarter mile, stock, (while we were senior in high school in 1976) and that's no lie. DeLorean knew exactly what he was doing with the 389. Honor DeLorean. To sit in this from a dead stop it would go 0 to 90 in LOW gear. And pull you back in the buckets . Later, with the hooker headers and thrush side pipes air shocks new springs Edelbrock hi rise and a 'tight' 4bbl, we took it from Dallas to Syracuse for a weekend wedding, with 4 in the car we made it in 12 hrs. It was like flying in a plane on the ground. Mind you, we were not hacks, we spent a lot of time restoring this mechanically. Too much to list but the basic was the 100k, 389 block. He could put a set of old tires on and burn them for an entire city block. He could drive to my house without coming off idle. This engine had original block and the heads were done and oil pump, new lifters, transmission rebuilt. It beat a rebuilt Mopar GTX 383 4 banger in the quarter. It took on corvettes midwest. There is nothing, nothing like the pull and power that thing had. It lost to no car. To sit in the passenger seat was a thrill.

No doubt! Awesome cars! Thank you for watching and have a good one!
I’ve fixed a 70 gto with stop signs lol she turned out great still on the road kicking ass

65 and 66 look very close. The 67 for sure had the woodgrain. This will also decode on the trim tags.
Right on thank you!
Bring it back to life ,goat man
That’s the plan!

Thank you sir! Those louvers are so cool! Thank you!
This is my 66 GTO
It’s a cool car for sure
It will look a lot better with that sweet patina😊
No doubt! That’s the plan! I’ll comet wash it first, I didn’t think about it when I washed it the first time

Thank you! I love these old rusty cars! 65 is a great year!
The 66 GTO is my favorite dream car I had 2 rag tops 421 try power 4 sp
That’s awesome! I bet those were rare!
I love those cars 1965 and 66 - 69 GTO'S 65 428 6pick 4 B 4sp posey
Man a 428 4 speed car would be extra cool
Looking forward to what you do
Thank you sir! I’m excited about it

I guess I have two you tube's lol Anyway I have a few small clips of my 67.@@323Fabrication

Beautiful car
Thank you I’m excited about it
Hell ,back up another 50 feet and it'll look brand new!
That’s right!
That 66 must be like looking like a model t to you miliniums
You should probably go watch some more videos on the channel…. Most everything we have is old

Sounds like an awesome tow pig! I love the 67 and earlier body style!
I love 65 GTO and 1966 to 69 GTO'S
I do too they’re awesome cars!
I'd put those hood inserts on that GTO.
That’s an idea I thought they would be cool in front fenders on something

Old Goat is ruff still its a real GTO so it worth restoring all parts available except the truck lid
The trunk lid and the core support are the worse parts of the car forsure
@@323Fabrication All the parts for a 66 GTO are out there there's a Old man in Waverly Tennessee that got 66 GTO parts and there's always Texas
No doubt about it I’ve got some folks looking local now and I’ve been watching facebook marketplace
@@323Fabrication yes
Opgi in CALIFORNIA has lots of A body stuff.
Be careful with that back seat! I gave a grand for a 66 a body back seat in similar condition. Those are unattainable!
Wow I had no idea! I knew the front seat brought big money but didn’t know the backs would
I can barely see my gto in the background lol
She’s there! Gonna play musical cars in a few weeks and get some stuff swapped on different wheels and tires
@@323Fabrication I'm hoping to make it down there in October after no name
@PunisherLemansGarage that would be awesome buddy! We would be glad to have you!
Gto stands for gran turismo omalogoto
👍
That will need a complete floor ..its too far gone to patch and wont look anything as good as a new floor
That’s true but…. It’s never gonna be restored it’s just gonna be good enough to drive
Boat vents
I like them
