I 100% agree on Kingsman 2, the villain kills people with a meat grinder but she dies by poisoning herself and giving the audience a deeply disappointing death, and they edited a fight between the main guy and a robot which was cool, but then had Elton John fight bad guys in what should have been its own seperate scene shown afterwards for comedic effect. They killed off most of the cast from the last film for weak dramatic stakes. Had a scene where Eggsy had to GPS chip a woman through her vag in what I think was meant to be funny, but it's not, and also has severe dramatic bearing on the characters that doesn't really go anywhere. Channing Tatum is underutilized because of course he is - it's Kingsman 2. Merlin sacrifices himself which sucks cause he was a great comedic foil. Pedro Pascal as Whiskey is sympathetic and I was rooting for him to win because I honestly didn't care if all the drug users in the world died or not it's such lackluster film that makes all the wrong choices and I hate it.
To be fair he didn't actually write argylle. That movie was pretty well directed (shots wise not cgi wise yeesh) also kings man was pretty good but was dragged down by being in a universe of fast paced action films and being a slower movie. It also flopped because it tried to go up against nwh. Golden circle felt like fox just allowed his first draft. I think he can still make great movies but has had a losing streak from circumstances
