Yeh nice. I wish I loved it, it appears to be mostly loved by most fans. I’ve only seen it twice so maybe it will grow on me over time. I’m curious what your ranking is for the franchise ?
1. Planet of the Apes - The original 1968 classic is still the best 10/10 2. Conquest For the Planet of the Apes - Used to be much lower on my list, but I enjoy it more and more with each viewing. Especially the unrated cut. 9.5/10 3. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes - The best of the reboots. 9.5/10 4. Escape From the Planet of the Apes - They blew up the Planet in BENEATH (further down on the list), but the film made money, so the studio had to grab the sequel money. But surprise, surprise! They made a really good film. 9/10 5. War For the Planet of the Apes - A powerful anti-war film, with a tearful goodbye to a beloved character. 9/10 6. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes - The Apes saga could be my favorite film franchise. Did not disappoint 8.5/10 7. Rise of the Planet of the Apes - Where the new Apes started. Excellent start. 8.5/10 8. Beneath the Planet of the Apes - Some interesting ideas with a poor follow-through. 5/10 9. Battle for the Planet of the Apes - the worst of the original Apes film. 3/10 10. Planet of the Apes - The Tim Burton stinker. Really good make-up, but it's just a horrible story. 2/10

The unrated Conquest I enjoy more and more with every viewing. It's up near the top of my list.
