Just an army. It's really there already (mostly). What is missing is a combined military budget to achieve economies of scale. It happens at some levels already, such as aircraft fighter programs. It needs to go further and remove its reliance on US military technology. So, no more German only made tanks and British made missile systems. The economy of scale through this integrated approach will afford a powerful defence of Europe. Sure, there will have to be horse trading about what is being built where, but this can be managed if you fear invasion and a collapse of your economy.

Trumps fails to understand how tariffs work. It's the people importing the goods that pay the tariffs which makes the imports more expensive for them. Typically this leads to them raising their prices which makes the items more expensive for people to buy once they reach stores etc. Only effect it can potentially have on foreign country is that people might order less from them due to the increased costs so they could lose some of their business but either way it will raise prices for consumers in the US. Another thing is that it can lead to retaliation from those other countries where they do the same in return.

Harris hardly mentioned any identity stuff during the campaign. The ads the right came up with had clips from years ago from when she was still in CA and implied that once someone says something they couldn’t possibly change their stance on it. Meanwhile, Trump changed his mind on LOADS of issues over the years.
They are 100% based on identity politics. Pretending the right is not all identity all the time is myopic.
He is right... There are only two ways forward for Europe....and it will be a federal system that will be the one that will win out in the end.... The only reason its not here all already is... fear and misplaced patriottisme....by going the federal way Europe can and will be the economic and military center of the world again.....Lets make Europe Great Again......
That will swallow small countries out of existence.
@@charisma-hornum-friesEven if it did, what do you think those countries will not be swallowed by others anyway ? Russia has been very clear about reviving their colonial empire in eastern Europe, what do you think will append to the people there ?
Nope leave Britain out of this mess.
Absurd. Federalism would be even worse than we have now. We already suffers from German crazy decisions to close nuclear plants and go all in on Russian gas - the result is sky high electric tariffs in it's neighbors who had nothing to say in the matter. A federalist system would be even worse, then those crazy Germans would overrule us. A federalist system would see a need for us to leave EU.
@@charisma-hornum-friesit wouldn't, I m from a small country and I want federalization, smaller countries would be less vunerable
You can bet that anything trump claims to want is what puttie wants.
As a brief rule of thumb, I assume that everything Yanis Varoufakis says is incorrect. I'm not calling him a liar, just that he is wrong. A lot. He sounds very reasonable and informed but in my experience, the things he says will happen just don't happen...
Remember we are stronger together.
@iainmcfadyen9197 Really? So why don't we apply to join the Russian Federation, then? After all, we are stronger together, right?
@@DoggleBird Russia left Europe with the Czar. North Korea and China are now Russia's allies.

And phones need to show those words every time we turn them on.
Correction Putin see Europe as a threat 😉 Trump is the instrument
well... both for different reasons
the EU is a threat to the US because with its united economic power, they just can't bully us into unfair deals... and with the united power we do have, if we enforce some rules and regulations (Brussels effect), at least for material things and they still want to profit on our market, they do have to comply. The EU rules and regulations are a big pain in the backside of US corporations who would want to skin us like they do with the US citizens. Instead, they can only fairly profit and the gains are lesser.
on the other hand, the united power of the EU prevent Russia from doing to the west of their borders what they did to the east in the 17thies. They did try, again and again, in the 18th and latter on, but they couldn't as there always was some roadblock in Europe. The closest they got was the Eastern Communist block. Just because a country had authority for a moment in time over a piece of land, does it mean the claim is legit... or we can go and accept the most craziest irredentists claims from former colonial powers (Spain, Portugal, UK, NL and France come to mind. They all controlled quite a big chunk of the globe at one time or another.)
Hungary yes, if that is the plan, it is having the opposite effect. Keir Starmer, the UK Prime Minister is getting closer to Europe, and has ramped up since, Donald Trump won the presidency. Holiday makers cancelling USA holidays, increases every day, something wacky is reported, and there is a lot of wacky.
THE UK 🇬🇧 ❤COULD HAVE HELPED EUROPE 🇪🇺 ❤TOWARDS A BETTER, STRONGER AND UNITED EUROPE, WITH EUROPE AND EUROPEANS AS PRIORITY. INSTEAD THEY CHOOSE BREXIT, WHEN YOU REALISE THAT ALL OUR ENEMIES CELEBRATED BREXIT THAT ALONE SHOULD TELL EVERYTHING. EUROPE UNITED CAN STAND AMONGST ANY OTHER COUNTRY, BUT DIVIDED WE WILL LOOSE ONE BY ONE.

It's not just trump.
It is the entire US establishment. The EU is too short sighted to see it.
Well, since it's going so well in the UK, why wouldn't key members of the EU not want to follow that example? If such upstanding members like Hungary and Serbia leave, I'm sure the wounds will be deep and damaging.
The Supreme Court refused to disturb the rulings of lower federal court judges that Meadows' conduct and crimes to help Trump try to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia were not part of Meadows' official duties as Chief of Staff to Trump.

yeah Brexit really really helped the UK 🤪It is like UK and US have a competion in isolationism - UK is in the lead, but US has a Trump card!!!
Well the left one big in Britain
Not really, when you look at the vote. What, a 33% tally and 10 point margin for Labour? Their system creates a lot of seats, no denying, though, for a 33% tally. But here we are a few months later and the Tories are leading by 2 points again. Which makes me sad actually, we need an alternative to the Tories' managed decline philosophy.
when was that ?
