Bass Player Magazine naming Bernard Edwards as the 53rd greatest player is far to low. His groove and funk bass lines are iconic. He should probably be in the top 25 I would think.
Unforgivable how Edwards was excluded from the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Instead they admitted Nile Rodgers as a solo artist. The committee didn't want to vote in a "Disco Band" but had no problem voting in Donna Summer.

But Nile is like the sun in a Turner painting; he suffuses the whole mix or song, and I cannot think of a guitarist like him. So now, I don't ask the question 'who is the foundation of Chic?', I just leave it alone. And we must respect Tony Thompson.
