The first peel was so satisfying to watch. I was pumped when I learned this was such an easy “repair” to do. Had to do it on my Canonet a few years ago. Was tired of getting seen as an influencer with all my light leaks. 😂
@@alcadman that is just unreal to here my friend!! I’ve seen a few as well and either thought some weren’t doing it correctly or some were a bit long winded (not that there’s anything wrong with that) so I thought this style would be easy to understand and follow and not appear to complicated! Thanks for the positive comment!
Great video. I bought some light seal foam six months ago. I have a couple cameras needing resealed, also my enlarger. Just have not gotten around to it yet and I am glad I ran across this video. I was hesitant on doing it until now. Thank you!
@@tumaprints that’s awesome to hear! I’ve had those light seals sitting around for at least 2 years! I had some other old cameras I was planning on doing but never got around to it and once the Minolta needed them done I thought what a great opportunity for a video! Thank you for watching my friend and leaving such a positive comment!
@@francescomusso9465 I’m glad to help!! Once you get in and start doing it you quickly realise it’s not that difficult it’s just time consuming! Thanks for checking it out and I’m glad I could help!
Excellent. Easier than I thought.
@@ataboyboyboy8895 much easier! It’s not that it’s difficult, it’s that it’s tedious and time consuming!

@@alexxedge hahaha you don’t want that ‘label’ as a photographer! I was also stoked when the first seal came off so easy! The rest was not as fun…..🥲
I’ve watched a few of these tutorials on replacing light seals and this was by far the best. Cheers mate

found out that black cotton yarn is just as effective for the small grooves. plus, they wont deteriorate over time like foam.
@@Aeolous1 now that is awesome!! I’ll have to look into this! A great solution if it doesn’t deteriorate.
