  • After 38 years of service Air Canada operated its final Boeing 767 flight this week!
In 2009 our first Air Canada program featured the 767-300 on a flight to South America. Now 4 years and 10 programs later we return to the 767 so we can cover this airplane in Hi-Definition on Blu-ray along with cover our 1st ever cockpit flight to Hawaii! In addition we've included a flight to one of the world's favorite destinations : St Maarten!
Both Captains, which includes Air Canada's 767 Fleet Manager, along with their copilots will give you the most fantastic presentations from the moment they arrive in the office to prepare their flights to the moment their aircraft reaches the gate at the other end. Everything is explained to you in details so you can have a perfect idea of what it takes to fly a widebody over the Atlantic and the Pacific! You will enjoy approaches into several destinations filmed from fantastic angles showing both the pilots at work and the amazing scenery.

What an amazing life. Two very intelligent and talented individuals taking care of all those people while simultaneously maintaining a comfortable and professional demeanor. Kudos to both of these gentleman and Godspeed to the B767. Truly a masterpiece and to this day one of the most beautiful and stable aircraft’s in the sky. Great video!

This is one of the best technical videos from the channel yet. The 767 was such a well designed airplane. Comparing the checklists featured in this video to checklists from the 787, built 35 years after, not too much has changed. But then again, not too much about the basics of flying differs from plane to plane.

Very enjoyable, nice to see one of my favorite aircraft doing its thing. The 767 was beloved by the Qantas pilots, to many of us it simply did its job as we took it for granted. Sadly Boeing didn’t appreciate what it had and now they haven’t a clue what to do next. An updated 767 would be a beautiful answer to the 797 confusion, as would an updated 757 to compete with the A321LR. The 737 family does not meet the range of single aisle needs, the 757 was a champ kicked to the curb. How could they miss how well the 737 and 757 were marketed together for 20+ years.

JP, another well documented flight and handsome video and narration from the flight crew. I liked the 'pop-up' check lists the crew used, never have seen those before, thanks for another 767 bit of history!

But at least there will be someone who has the option of hand flying and who will have the skills to fly although they may not be using them.
I plan on using them whether the plane is completely automated or not. I’m a pilot not a computer operator

it's a joy to hear pilots explain things and to see what they do. The 767's are an amazing aircraft and this airline is awesome; their planes and crew are amazing. The aircraft has amazing equipment and to be shown around the cockpit was great. The takeoff was great and the plane sounds amazing. I enjoy the overview of the city; the landscape and terrain are amazing and beautiful as well. The plane spotting of that plane from the outside was great, I enjoyed seeing it land and takeoff. Awesome video, I love it.

Many of our videos do cover either cockpit ser ups or cockpit presentations. The cockpit set up you saw here is only a very small part of what those 2 pilots actually did so on the actual film we sell you would see a lot more along wirh the flight to Hawaii and back to Vancouver plus a roundtrip from Toronto to St Maarten.

when given the command, "line up and wait" do you spool up engines to 40% N1, or do you wait until you actually get takeoff clearance? you are in idle as you are lined up and waiting, correct? how long does it take to spool up the engines to TO thrust, from idle?

  • @tonywolfgang2693

    • @carldsouza9436
      @carldsouza9436 3 роки тому

It’s actually not that hard, you just turn the starter to ground so that bleed air is introduced to the engine, and when the N1 or N2 reaches a certain value, you introduce fuel by turning on the Eng master. I understand if most people find it tough but it’s actually very easy!

Anyone who wants to fly this joint should check out the 767-300 for X-Plane. If you're proficient in the sim, you can head out to the airport and steal one of these right off the tarmac, assuming it's fueled and pushed back. YMMV as far as once airborne. Personally, I would sell it to a Mexican drug cartel.

Why refer to height in feet instead of meters? Canadians are metric, no? In one breath they talk feet then the next it’s celcius

feet is standard for the aviation world. except for China

@@4plus4equalsmoo very interesting but puzzling since most all the world runs on metric

    My Babbyyyy
My biggest regret is never being able to fly my girl the 767 I won’t make it to the front seats in time
Call me a little bitch but I am starting to tear up thinking I won’t fly the plane.
Fun fact I actually wrote in my 5th grade yearbook that I wanted to fly the 767-300
I flew on the last 767 flight on the airline I want to fly for 10 days before they retired it this year.
At least I got to say goodbye.
My dad flew this plane and it’s the plane I flew on the most in my life.

My aviation career saw the 767 come and go. Life is short. Enjoy it!
