Mitsubishi has same design of jeep also Suzuki Jimny grill is same but American companies only fight to Indian companies , Toyota copied Puget van, Toyota copied mercedes van 80-2000, honda and hundai copied Tata nano as honda jazz and hundai eon. Nissan copied Toyota hiace. But they have no problems only they are problematic when Indian brand they sees, they sale their cars in India but America doesn't allow Indian cars in America too much discrimination.
Mahindra should just redesign Thar for international markets and keep it as it is for Indian market as they have the license to do so.

Where I live, I have seen scores of Roxors being used by farmers, even now. They choose it for two reasons - it’s minimal fussiness that makes it closer to being a great offroader and their ability to maintain the vehicle themselves (in most cases). Off-roading or farm runs do not need expensive-to-fix-and-acquire vehicles. They need barebone and capable ones that are inexpensive.

In 1947, Mahindra bought the rights to the Willys Jeep. After which they made many models of Jeep type vehicle. Jeep is not a brand in India, Jeep is a vehicle of Mahindra.

I have purchased Mahindra cars from 4 different centres..Almost all vehicles are sold after the waiting period. Despite that the service was good. Nowadays a new trend is going on. The vehicle whose waiting period is atleast for 10 months, .They want that car within a week.The service center people jugaad and give the car within a week. For which a little xtra money, accessories and insurance have to be done of their choice.
Then they will take the car, later they will call UA-camrs who are hungry for views and start talking bad about Mahindra.And retarded people consider them to be true.

If Mahindra wants to sell thar in countries, on thing they can do is completely design the body without changing the interior, just body panels , give it a complete new look. Since it's a ladder frame , ir can be much easier

I own a Wrangler Rubicon and Thar here in India and the amount of people that mistake my wrangler for a thar is really worrying, the identity of the wrangler has started to fade in India because of mahindra's plagiarism. FIAT group has all the rights in the world to save it's cars image in the international market.
Mahindra should make design change in grille and other things that resemble jeep to launch in foreign markets and avoid the legal issues.
Mahindra still has not 1, but 2 "Hukum ka ikkas" up their sleeves. The XUV 700, the SUV that could go toe to toe with other quality urban SUVs like Toyota Fortuner and Ford Ranger.
And their second "Hukum ka ikka" is the entire BE (Born Electric) brand and its line up. From BE5 to BE8 all the designs quality is actually up there with the brands like KIA, Lincoln and Land Rover.
And the Range that they are claiming, the features they are implementing would actually rival other brands of Chrysler group that are trying to get into EV scene or who are already in the EV market.
Mahindra and TATA are going to become globally renowned brands soon, much like Toyotas and Fords. And the way Royal Enfield has started get a global recognition, I wont be surprised if I see RE buying other motorcycle brands like BSA or Triumph in next 50 years and becoming a giant RE group. We are almost reaching a golden age of the Indian automotive sector. We are already able to see technology like ADAS being implemented in TATA and Mahindra cars which cost around 20 to 30 lakhs. Which BTW, so far was available only in the luxury brands like TESLA, Mercedes and a few other high-end brands which would've costed anywhere from 60 lakhs to 1.5 crore.
India can have its own car culture like America and Japan. But as long as there are extremely strict and stupid modification laws, India would never be able to reach the golden age of indian car culture.

I have seen many American, European, Australian and South African reviews of Thar and one thing they all agree is that Thar is Just the Jeep Wrangler in terms of built, durability and power, but with very less price.

I think the only reason GM won the lawsuit against Jeep because they have completely different dimensions, because the Hummer is a lot more wider than the jeep variant. But the thar and jeep Wrangler are comparatively very similar to each other, and therefore makes sense why the court ruled in favour of jeep. I commend the research into this but I hold the oppinion that You saying that the jeep and GM were American companies and Mahindra being an Indian company and hinting in some kind of discrimination on this bias is very insulting.
