First, it completely perverts the meaning of the word "queen", and so, as one watches unpolished Angela Merkel, in every possible way. And secondly, it takes for granted that the European Union political monstrosity has anything to do with "Europe", other than being its deadliest enemy.

For me the only question is if the woman to be kissed is good looking or even beautyful and is not annoying (Liz Taylor, Linda Eastman, young Princess Anne - no german would refuse I guess). Angela Merkel is boredom though. She never opposed the east german government and always was enough of an oportunist to succeed in any system. A faceless person telling empty meaningless blabla. Always able to change completely any of the opinions she stated once before.
I`m almost fifty years old and I believe if the governing party when the german reunification took place had been the SPD (german labour party) instead of the CDU (conservatives, Merkel´s party) and Merkel would have found the same circumstances she would have become a figure in the adversary party. I´m not a particular fan of the former chancelor Helmut Kohl but compared to Merkel he was a proficient speaker and it was more of a thrill to see the hard talks and debates in which he participated. Merkel has no problem with the segregation of germany´s society even if we´ll end up like the US or Britain where the top five percent of the population own more than 95% of all private property and assets.
I recommend Volker Pispers, Germany´s sharpest political cabaretist.
He really hates her. And I love him for that.

Excellent comment. You hit the nail right on the head. I'm 70 and born in Germany, but haven't lived there for 60 years. I watch from the country I live now with a deep sadness for the German people. I feel that her agenda is to destroy Germany and I think that there are deep seated psychological reasons for this. She definitely learned to be shifty living under Russia in East Germany. She has at least until 2017 to complete her agenda and by then it'll be too late. I hope by then that Germans will have woken up and will depose Mutti.

I agree she is an outstanding Chancellor and is a truly good person. maybe sides too much with austerity, but you can't have it. she does support the taking in of Refugees which the Christian thing to do.

Merkel is respected by many germans but loved by a few and I think thats great. I think it's good because it really shows how she solves conflicts, its with compromises. In the end she finds solutions where nobody is really getting what he originally wanted, but something they can live with and in my opinion that's a pretty good approach to democracy.

I admire Merkel as a leader for her logical rational approach but I do wish in hindsight she and others in EU had offered something of substance to David Cameron that he could have used to win over those that had been calling for Brexit for years prior.
Some Germans don't like her but they will realise how really great she was once she left office.

Looking back at this, I still stay to the words I said after the last election. We will miss her, even those who never voted for her. She stept down, so she was never beaten in an election and the majorety voted for a more enviroment friendly and future oriented government than that of her party.
We all got disappointed. We could say that she was able to master serveral crisis and kept away harm from the German people where others suffered especially under economic problems. She showed her true christian views in the refugee crisis. I am not a christian but I honour people who take burden on themself for their views and helping those in need.
Today conservatives even in her party tend to be hypocrites like Trump. Bible in the mouth, evil in the heart. ("Im Munde Bibel, im Herzen Übel." German proverb)
