Damn man you're right. Infinite always mentions ODST's, but when have you ever seen them? The Orbital Drop Shock Troopers were such a badass thing to involve in the Halo franchise, especially when Bungie made their own game about ODST's.
343 almost ignored ODSTs in every single game they made. They just make a DLC for HW2, but what about to find them on Zeta Halo? I really miss those details from old games.
The closest we got to ODSTs in the mainline games from 343 was when they brought in Buck as a spartan, and they didn't do much with him. Its nice to see that you're handling them more properly
I think it’s so scary to marines because if you think about it, From their perspective, Spartans are these almost invincible super soldiers, and they know that the marines themselves are the most vulnerable things so in comparison, hearing or even seeing a Spartan die is the most terrifying thing.

As much as I definitely root for the Spartans to win; seeing them lose even a tiny bit just adds that extra spiciness. You win wars at the cost of losing lives.
that's part of what was interresting in the bungie era. even with spartan, humanity was loosing. Loosing HARD ! now... it's more like the power-rangers...
I have never seen elites and jackals move so appropriately. They finally look like they have the proper weight to speed and agility absolutely mind blown
I really love the detail of the elite holding up the spartan with his other hand while he has them impaled. I was thinking "pfft, those would slice through them like butter, no way it can hold up a body" then the elite turns around and he's clearly holding up the spartan with his other arm. I'm really looking forward to the finished video.
Which means that all those Marines are about to die. One of Ackerson's protocols for SIII operations: if a Spartan is killed, all UNSC personnel that directly witnessed the act must be eliminated so as to preserve overall morale. For example, remember Kat's death; how there were civilians and ONI staffers in that bunker with Fireteam Noble, and yet they were nowhere to be seen when Noble exited the ruins of the structure?
Who knows, they might be able to save her. If I remember correctly, Linda was in critical condition and they put her in cryo until they could get her to a facility to get resuscitated.
In The Rubicon Protocol, a paralyzed marine, too weak to even talk or do more than gurgle, is described as needing “only a few days in a basic medical facility” and she’d be fine. UNSC medical tech is no joke. And a lot of people don’t seem to be aware of that.
she was really cool and like the balanced member of the spartan team in an odd way . I figured maybe one or two spartans would die but not on this mission . the odst looking her lifeless body was sad but realistic . she'll be missed .
That ODST was my favourite too, sad so see them go, but war is war, sometimes we have to learn to let things go. Even spartans, but where one spartan falls, 100 more will rise back up to fight. o7
After following these characters for so long, that stab hit really hard. Felt some real emotion when you could see the absolute shock in that ODSTs face. After just witnessing this Spartan gunning down dozens of Elite Zealots, all it ended up taking in the end was one well place energy sword. The way you have so much going on in scenes while still managing easing in and out of every movement is mind boggling. You're truly an animation master. I look forward to the next WIP
Holy shit...watching Spartan die....my heart skipped a bit. Now I can understand how UNSC soldiers' morale dropped when they saw Spartan die. It almost feels unreal. How can a Spartan, the most perfect soldier humans have ever seen, die...whoa.. this video was really powetful

I like how the armor sounds, they really feel heavy 0:44 - 1:05 The sound effects of the Halo 5 armor were similar to what a plastic bottle does when you crush it with your hands
Seeing that Spartan die brought back those Reach feels, even the way the sniper carried her reminded me of Carter and Kat Great work man, can’t wait to see more
I love how in this film and actual series itself, the Spartan are like the pillars that holds the human race together. If one falls in battle, all other units will lose combat effectiveness because that's how much just one Spartan matters.
Really hoping they don’t leave that ODST behind, he seems to be the last one alive in the squad after the Zealot rush. The squad of ODSTs we’ve been following… rest in peace their souls.
What I really love seeing in these videos, something that modern (mostly h4-h5) Halo storytelling doesn’t seem to allow at all, is that there are always exceptions. Sometimes the lone marine does take down the Elite. Sometimes, the Covenant platoon survives the Flood outbreak and escapes. Sometimes, even Spartans fall.
@@joshuaware818 Taking it like a champ doesn't mean someone acting like they didn't feel anything. The Elite got hit really HARD but didn't immediately fall to the ground.

Doesn’t the energy sword immediately burn the wound shut so no blood comes out? Adds a dramatic effect, either way Some swords also don’t seem to glow, but all of these are easy to overlook and appreciate the absolute masterpiece
If we are gonna be logical here then a body would not be able to be lifted like that by an energy sword it would slice the victim before it would be able to make the body levitate from the ground.
Halo lore says that but real life lore says no. Burning a wound shut is a very precise process that has to happen very slowly at a low temperature, and the slightest error can reopen the wound. The idea that a hot blade could do it by accident is extremely unrealistic, no matter what the lore says.
