- A Bushcraft Anniversary: It has been a year so far on UA-cam. I just wanted to thank all who have supported me and watched me grow, as well as the new that have come aboard to join me.
I'm looking forward to a another wonderful year of adventures to bring you along.
A special thanks to Uberleben for their fantastic Kettle and Bunch of Campers LTD sparkling Ferro Rod.
This has been a dedication to a long loyal friend who has been by the side of my mate for quite a bit of time, Sneezy the Cat.
Note: I actually use Baking powder, and that's what the tiny tin marked BP was for the Bannock.
Please excuse the color tones, my camera is on repair so I had to film with my phone and couldn't get the settings right.

Hello, thank you so much! I'm glad to be able to share the wonders of the outdoors with you. Perhaps you can see the beauty through my eyes. Welcome to my channel mate! 💪
Cool. You know how to make yourself comfortable in the bush. That's how it has to be.
Warm greetings from Germany.

Indeed! 🌿☘️🌲🏕️🔥
I cannot believe that this channel isn't at a million plus subscribers this guy is awesome his knowledge is off the wall come on people wake up and watch this channel you won't regret
Hello mate, as in all businesses one must advertise and it costs money to do so. I do not wish to pay for views as big channels do. It doesn’t matter the quality or your content, how long you have been doing this or your talent, as long as you pay for views you can have as many as your funds will allow. You have to pay to get your video to the top of the algorithm . You can get 1 million views in one day if you have enough money to fund that video, and in-turn more views makes more subscribers. I have seen channels funding thousands to pump up a video to get very high viewer volume and loose their investment. Even if you have 100,000 subscribers only half will watch and 50,000 views, and you only get about $20 from UA-cam after all the effort one puts into it. That’s why the best revenue for UA-cam channels to grow is Patreon. I want my channel to grow, however, the main focus is the love and sharing of what I enjoy, and if I can make some money to help sustain the channel, whilst enjoying what I do, it would be worth it. Well that is the reality of UA-cam. Thanks for championing my channel. Cheers💪
Wow congratulations!!! your video year made an otherwise bleak year tolerable. Thanks so much for your efforts.
Thank you Rick, you put a smile on my face! I'm so happy that I could bring my adventures to you. Big hug 🤝
Top notch bushcraft style sir. Great video
Scott, thank you! ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Hello all, thanks for joining me on this year of adventure! Note: I used Baking powder and not "Baking soda" in the Bannock. A Freudian slip of thought.
Please make certain to read the description, for there are extra notes in there for you all. Cheers
Super cool 😎 Bushcraft UA-cam Channel
Thanks Lone Wolf ! 💯
There's no way you can purchase food that delicious, and I didn't taste it, could almost smell it.
Thanks Ron, it was really good and a great meal out there is truly enjoyable.
I don’t know about Lore of Bushcraft.
Should that be “Lord” as you ate like a Lord that night 😁👍🏼
A great anniversary vid, kind sir!
Here’s to Sneezy Cat ☝🏼😺👍🏼
Wow mate, you really hit home with that comment! Thanks for celebrating 🥂 with me, and... the recognition of Sneezy 🐈 cat
The Lore of Bushcraft It was a good celebration!
I have a soft spot for cats. I still miss my last cat from some 20+ years ago. She carried me through some tough times ♥️
What a beautiful day!
It was indeed, Thank you! 🌱
Congratulations on the anniversary
Much appreciated Daniel, it's funny that one year on UA-cam is still considered new 😊
I'm glad it gives me a platform to share my adventures and the beauty of nature. 💪🌿🏕️🌱
Hi I am your new subscriber your food has such delightful presentation I love seeing a walking stick in the wild very good and useful for many reasons oh yea CONGRATULATIONS 🎉 on your year anniversary 🙏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Hi Melissa, I woke up with a smile at the sight of your kind words.
As far as food, I suppose when you have the right combination of beautiful scenery, tasty food, good lodgings and the ability to produce all these things, you are thriving.
Indeed, my staff has assisted, not only to stabilise me, protect me from snakes, but it has also been a canopy pole and a river depth gauge, just to name a few.
I am honoured that you have signed up to join me vicariously on my adventures. Welcome aboard! 🌻
You're hardcore man! Whipping up food, coffee and pastry out of nowhere! So inspiring. Thank you.
Right Jacob, I certainly make the woods my home, because being in the woods is coming home says John Muir.
I couldn't be more satisfied. Thanks for joining me! 💪
Congratulations! I love watching your videos, so peaceful and love the quotes, awesome cooking as always, your like me and love to eat lol. Keep up the great work and I will keep tuning in!
Thank you mate! I've been really happy to be able to share. I go out there alone on purpose to get away from it all, but it's so nice that I can bring it back and share it. More to come. Cheers!
I really like your food prep
Thank you! Enjoying great food out in the wilderness is the great reward of all the prep. 🏕️🌿🌽🍞🥘

I haven’t even watched any videos yet, but I happened to randomly meet this man today with a coworker when we stopped for lunch. What a genuinely cool and interesting guy. I can’t wait to watch all these videos

Hi Craig, thank you so much mate! Filming or an editing are new to me so in the past it's has been quite challenging, a trial and error, but, every bit of it has been rewarding, especially when I get to make a difference with people like you.
I got to tell you, I'm rather honoured to have you marathoning my video adventures.
It truly brings a smile to my face that I could share with another so far away and communicate a bonding message.
Heal well my friend, heal well! 💊⚕️ 🏥💉
Well done, fella. Here’s to many more. Cheers. Thank you for the posts. Always enjoyable.
Volley, thank you for coming along and supporting me! 💪⭐💪
You don’t just survive in the woods you thrive great watching you

Sean, thank you for your kind words, they give me the fuel of encouragement! 💪⭐💪
Congratulations on 1 year!!! I enjoy your videos very much. Thank you for sharing!
I'm glad I got to share them with you, thank you! 💥
Very nice! Congratulations my friend, looking forward to sharing more adventures with you 🤠
Herb, thanks so much for being a companion after the fact on my adventures. It's great that I can share the Great Outdoors with persons who appreciate them. Looking forward to career friendship mate 😊
Congratulation on the anniversary! Like your camp setup. Everything is so tidy and organised!
Wow, thanks Kevin! Glad to have you aboard
Congratulations on your 1 year anniversary and letting us join you in your journey.
Randy, the sharing is joy. Thanks for coming along! 💥
Well done. Love your work!
Thank you
Thank for joining me! ⚡
Congratulations on your first year. It is always fun to watch your videos. 🙏
And almost in every video I found something new to learn for me. 😀 The Taco Bowl recipe (is on my todo-list), the round alu-container (I maybe use them by myself), coffee grinding in a kuksa, ... 🙂
And now roasting green coffee on the fire ... as I saw this I had to laugh -- you take it a notch higher than everyone -- just great! 🤣
Hooray! 🤸🤸🤸 I've been in the bush throughout my life, and for years people told me to film my experiences, through UA-cam I'm able to do so. What's the point in life if you can't share the beauty of it with others??? I'm honoured to have inspired you for certain things.
The old ways for me are a living history. They might take longer, are heavier, but the reward of history comes to life through them. Thank you for coming along on my journeys!
Congratulations on one year you do awesome videos. That was a perfect camp.
Thank you Michael! Yeah, that spot was like an oasis and a perfect part to set camp. Thanks for being a part of all this! 💪💥💪
Not too sure why I didn’t finish watching this one.... I’ve said it before but I have to say it again, that sure is a beautiful spot of woods you have up there. When hunting season starts will hunters be there?
Hi Chris, I'm so honoured that you watched it. The landscape inspired me to film and continue to venture out there. Hunting is not allowed in the State Park, yet there is some wilderness to the west of there that allows hunting. The signs are posted and if I venture in there during the season of course I wear vest inside out that displays orange. I saw you released a new video, can't wait to see it. I also filmed a video about a month ago a mess kit (German World War II style) you would love it for your collection. I'll see you in a bit on your channel bubby.
Nice🤠✌Love the Intro
Thanks mate!
Love the monolog. Congratulations on a successful year, I look forward to the future of your channel. Keep up the good work and would not mind more monolog in the future or just a fireside chat.
Thanks John, I'm glad I get to share my adventures. I'm honoured to have you, and I'm glad you like the video, as well as the videos. Cheers
Perfect video as always and congratulations on your one year.
Much appreciated! Going strong 💪
Something I'd like to see is how you perform clean-up of your pots, pans and utensils. Is this a washing process or just a wipe-off and go? It's the one part of my outdoor activities that I've never really liked nor come up with a good idea for.
Tom, I use Moss, Gravel and Water (like a scouring pad) if I need it, sometimes even dirt.
When I'm at a stream or creek, I dunk it and use Moss or a cloth.
Sometimes I just rinse it, and others like my Pan I try to always leave a light coating oil on it (I've never used soap on it), matter of fact I've never used soap on any of my outdoor utensils, cookware or plateware.
When you reuse it the heat sanitises it.
I'm sure you can see that method used in my Winter Solo video series. And, I'll make a point to show it to you in the near future.
Hope this helps
You must come up to my Connecticut fort, lad. Teach some survival skills to my girls.
Wow, I would be honoured!
That's a sweet looking shelter! I've been using mesh tent for the pesky slugs!
Always feels like a burden bringing tent just for 1 annoying creature.
Do you spray your gear with anything like bug repellent?
Hi there Paul, I spray my clothes and pack with permethrin. My summer shirts are usually Craghopper with insect shield. I also use Bug Dope on my skin. I'm more concerned about Ticks. But if I'm going into a really buggy environment that's filled with mosquitoes and midges, I will hammock camp that has a net. I even have a Head net that I used to always bring as mandatory equipment, but then I realised I never use it.
@@TheLoreofBushcraft fantastic advice! Ill give that permetherin a go.
Ticks are an issue here too but damn the slugs are rife on the wet British climate.
Cheers
Hello fellow outdoorsman! Was just wondering what kind of pack basket that is that you have there? I have been looking for one to do the same thing for my Isle Royal Jr. Any help would be appreciated.
Hello Darien,
It's an 18-in pack basket. I had to do some modifications on it, so just took out part of the base and the top rim I cut and made it shorter.
I find if the space is full in the pack you don't need a basket.
I find the absence of a basket most useful in the winter when I have more kit to carry. There's the link below mate!

Thank you, sir, for your swift reply. I appreciate your content and the information provided, in fact, I've even considered that exact basket but was unsure of fitment. Thanks again for the reply and I look forward to more of your videos in the future!
Congrats on one year brother!
What did you think of bannock? It looked really good.
Thanks for the video
Thank you brother! Well, I have always made rather savory bannock or just a little sweet. These ones came out quite phenomenal! I actually used baking powder, not baking soda (as annotated in the video) in error. These will be a staple, because I usually have the ingredients on me when I'm out. Thanks for inspiring me to make sweet cake versions. Yours looked super yummy and I was going to do bannock anyway, but I never thought to do it in such a sweet manner. Cheers
Hi..can I ask what tarp you are using and also where abouts in the world are you..it’s very beautiful and I’m enjoying your videos
Hello Jonathan, I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the adventures. That's a Tentsmith's 8x8 Tarp. I'm in the Northeast states. Let me know if I can help you with anything else mate, and thanks for visiting!
who makes the folding trivet you used?
Hi Paul, I got it from Eagle Products
Beta bushcraft channel out there! The real deal.
You made my day, thanks mate!
How big is your oil tarp?
Hi Hiram, it's an 8x8. Let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks for watching!
Do you ever harvest wild game and cook
That's a good question, I am 100% plant-based and I have been for many years now. Part of it is that I do not wish to harm the very nature I profess to love. The animals of the forest are my friends. I do go mushroom hunting and foraging of course. 🌱
@@TheLoreofBushcraft I respect your lifestyle you have amazing content
@@linthicum75 Awesome, thank you mate!
Ok, is that your voice on the narration?
My impression of David Attenborough. :)
That’s awesome! Finally can put a voice to the face. Thanks! Almost watched all of your videos. It’s visually amazing, so I have it on the big tv, no one around to immerse myself into your world.
hey what part of the world are you from?

@@offthecouch1999 truly, but it's better for Bushcraft here
@@TheLoreofBushcraft I was just getting ready to ask your opinion of that. I wanted to go see Europe and so bushcraft there
What country are you in?
Hello, I'm presently in the states. How bout yourself?
@@TheLoreofBushcraft Atlanta, Georgia. For some reason I thought you were in Europe. Great videos bro! I’ve been looking at videos since the pandemic began trying to learn bushcraft and wilderness survival skills. You should start a school like Dave Canterbury.
Good morning Ron, that is so cool. I'm very honoured and happy to have you aboard.
You know, the best way to learn is to get out there.
Dave Canterbury, I have learned tonnes from him.
Let me know if you have any questions and I'll be happy to help.
Cheers
@@TheLoreofBushcraft thanks I’ll let you know if I have any questions
What size pack is that
Hello John, it's the Frost River Isle royale Jr, it doesn't carry well.
@@TheLoreofBushcraft would you get a different size if you bought it again or are you saying you don’t really like the packet itself
Well the Pack carries as if you have a 12-year-old kid hanging off your back with dead weight. Everyone who has the pack tries to alter it to get it to carry better, but to no avail. What has helped is that I put a pack basket inside of it to give it some rigidity.
I did end up replacing it with the Boreal Bushcraft Pack because it was designed with carry ability as the priority. It has a lumbar support pad and the structure has a back insert. The overall design is just better, however, you do need the belt and the lumbar support and those cost extra, bringing the pat to nearly $900 us and it takes months to receive because they are made to order. I've added a couple of links to the pack so you can see it in action. Let me know if you have any more questions. Cheers

Another cracking vid there. Made me feel the need to get out . Made me hungry to . 👌🏕
Yes, the woods are calling and you must answer.
Hi, The bannock looks delicious! What sort of sugar it is? I never seen anything like that.🖐🤠🏕
Hi Smoked Eel, thank you! That is the old way they prepare sugar in the 18th century. A lot of countries still do it, as in Jamaica where I got this from. Spanish Caribbean countries still do it as well and many ex-colonies, Goya makes versions. A lot of re-enactors use it for Pioneer or American revolutionary war reenactments. Cone sugar
@@TheLoreofBushcraft Very interesting.Thank you!
