Old Skinheads never die!
We head to the woods and become Survivalist!
I love you Brother! ❤ Oi!
We never end, we simply evolve. Love you Brother!
I hear the intro music.. immediately click like 👍
Thank you, it’s a homage to the Bushman of the Kalahari. Hence Bushcraft takes its name from them. Cheers mate!
By far my favorite outdoor channel. Truly encompasses why we go into the woods. Also doesn't hurt that the landscape looks like it could be a 2 minute walk from me here in Vermont.
“Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people are beginning to find out that going to the mountains is going home; that wilderness is a necessity; and that mountain parks and reservations are useful not only as fountains of timber and irrigating rivers, but as fountains of life.” ~ John Muir Truly the love of nature is a love of ourselves. Thanks Kevin, it’s great to be able to share with like minded persons with an appreciation for our natural environment. Cheers
Every time I watch your videos you amaze me with the sheer number of items you carry! Just when I think I seen it all you throw something out and I’m stunned. The leather oil flask! Killer!! I thought I was tired when I looked at your pant legs and said wth is that??? It was you legs! I forgot those pants vent like that!! Thanks for letting me be a fly on the tarp! Awesome thanks
That’s hilarious mate! I do have a mass of trinkets and gadgets, I’m always collecting something.
Yes, the ventilation on the trousers truly makes a difference. Fly on the Tarp was great usage.
Your Comment had me laughing my arse off! Thank you so much for making my day!
The godfather of bushcraft .....the best bushcraft channel out there I cant get enough of this channel
Steven, I’m absolutely honoured because there are some really great Bushcraft rafters that I’ve learned from and to hear that you put me amongst them tell me that I’ve put my work in. thank you so much for the vote of confidence. I simply love what I do, and get better or worse and learned from it every time I go out. Cheer to you
Hi, I'm just making my first steps on UA-cam and I have to say your vintage gear and videos are an inspiration to me! This is so amazing! 🤠💪👍
Make sure you do because you love Bushcraft and sharing your experiences. I was very reluctant to post my craft on UA-cam, but during the pandemic I had some time to film and edit videos but now I'm just keeping things to myself as in before the pandemic. I wish you to prosper. Cheers
… and there’s the bay leaf! seen that rock can opener technique only once before and never in a bushcraft video. cool!
well, I certainly wasn’t gonna carry a can opener, that would’ve been odd. :)
My friend i hope that chili tasted as good as it looked. Hope all is well with you and keep those videos coming. Stay well my friend.🌲🏕🌲
Hi Steve, it was excellent! Always such a reward after a long day. I will keep the adventures coming and going out tomorrow morning to film. Cheers mate!
When you were stuffing your pillow with leaves, all I could think of was TICKS😲😲
Interesting, well, all of my kit is sprayed with Permethrin (Including my clothing) and I also tied it quite tightly . I only had one Tick in my lifetime, it was during Mountaineering a trip about 7 years ago where the weather changed from -8c to 10c over night, so the Ticks came out and I got one in the leg. I also took one home with me one time but catch and smashed him.
Yes, they are a concern but I'm precautions.
Me to !!! And though the comment he answered both our thoughts
My brother, what a inspiration you have been to my favorite pass time. Like yourself I to have been enchanted with Mother Nature's Outdoors and I just wanted you to know that you are important to the lost ways. Thank you so much for your expertise. Good luck in all your endeavors and God bless you and your family....
Alan, thank you so much, I really appreciate your support and kind words of encouragement! The wilderness is my garden and just love being there.
@@TheLoreofBushcraft Down there Feb., big lake area got lone star tick. No precautions assume it was to early.
Hi, nice bushcraft hike, I was also going for a couple of days, but alas, the weather is very hot.
Thank you mate! The kids are hot weather camping is the wet Bandanna around the neck, the best natural AC you can get, trust me!
This channel should grow exponentially after this video. Excellent video!
Hello mate, one would think so right??? Anyway, UA-cam is a business like any other, so in order to get noticed one would need to advertise and it cost a great deal to do so on UA-cam. Regardless of content, one must invest. It’s the hidden secret.
Most UA-cam channels do it when they start off and also to pump up the viewership on a video they put out weekly (the more views people see the more prestige in their minds, so the more they are willing to watch it).
There are videos out there a only couple days old with a million views, they didn’t go viral, they were promoted through UA-cam. It’s around $15000 thousand dollars to get 1 million views. Even if you have 100,000 subscribers, only about 35-40% of them, are gonna watch a new video so you need to promote it to get more viewership, which in turn you also get new subscribers. It would be nice if content alone determines the success of one’s channel, but as they say, “if it were easy, everyone would do it.”
A lot of channels survive through the support from Patreon because UA-cam is minimal income, however, the more you put into UA-cam, the more you get out of it.
Thanks for letting me know you appreciate the adventures.
My channel is just the love of the outdoors,a thriving in such, and a shared mutual interest in Bushcraft. It has also been a way to document these cherished Adventures for life, and if I can bring all along for the ride and that’s all I get out of it, then it’s worth it. Glad to have you along.
@@TheLoreofBushcraft I just do it as a hobby because of the same points you brought up. Content not cash should build viewership, but we don’t live in a honorable world. Thanks for taking us on your adventures anyway.
@@TheLoreofBushcraft I guess they should call it Cash Creator instead of Content Creator.😂😂😂😂😂😂
That would be fitting :)
Thanks Brother!
Great content! You deserve more views!
Greetings from Italy. 🙂
Most appreciated! UA-cam is all how much you pay them to promote your videos. You will notice videos that got hundreds of thousands of views in a couple of days, that’s because you have to pay to promote a video to get views and the more views you get the more people watch your video because they see it as legitimate. That’s the secret of how it works. I don’t wanna waste my money like that.
I just found your channel and I love it! I've missed out but look forward to catching up! Good job 👏 👍
Welcome aboard! Glad to have you come along on my adventures. Thank you Tomas!
You are the true definition of a bushcrafter. Your videos are top notch. 👌 Keep them coming my friend.
Thank you mate, I really appreciate that! I love the wilderness and love sharing the beauty of nature with others. More to come soon. Cheers

Great video. Your silence speaks volumes. Just can't beat the scenery. I would NEVER leave. To me it would be one hell of a mistress.
Thank you Sam!
For me it’s been A wilderness wonderland. During the lockdown I spent up to 16 days up there. Every time I live it’s like leaving home. Truly a place of peace and serenity.
Nice gear, great pack (pm if you ever sell it :). Thank you for the journey.
Thanks mate, will do! Glad you came along
Again AWESOME !!!
Thank you Tom! 💪
Great video, good length too. Some that were 15/20 mins I just get relaxed and it's over. Just a man chilling in the woods making me jealous cause I can't get out there as much as I'd like!
Thanks mate! Well, you can live vicariously through me. I’ll bring the woods to you when you can’t get out. Cheers!

What a beautiful and amazing way to start my day! Another outing at the Oasis love the tarp and sleeping accommodations! Gear is on point and food as usual looks delicious. You had such an amazing glow about you such positive energy , Thank you for letting us join you again my friend Greetings Dutch
Hello Dutch, I truly lucked out when I found this Oasis, I’ve been coming here for seven years since I moved back here from London and it has been such a place of refreshment for me that I had to share with everyone.
The kit is finally at the specifications I insisted on so I am now content.
Sorry, if I’ve been quiet I’ve had Covid badly last week.
Always so good to hear from you Brother!

Y si básicamente haces lo que muchos en tu canal desean hacer y por eso te vemos pues nos llevas a ese mundo que deseamos pero por diversas razones no podemos.
Saludos cordiales y esperamos mas contenido.

Gracias mi Amigo!
Beautiful forest and an awesome adventure. The vegan meals are awesome...truly inspiring videos you put together!!
Well, that’s a vote of confidence. I’m in a community which are quite the meat eaters. Although I have inspired many a meat eaters to try some of the items I choose to bring because they are less prone to spoilage.
My love of nature also involves the love of the inhabitants and I do not wish to hunt or eat them. I suppose this involves the Leave No Trace principles (Leave the environment the way you found it so that others may enjoy it and it’s pristine form). I'm so glad you reached out because I wish to cultivate more of the plant-based community into Bushcraft.
@@TheLoreofBushcraft That is so true--wrt the meat eaters. I enjoy your adventures and the added bonus is watching you prepare meals sans meat. Also as others have mentioned--I marvel at your gear. Will patiently wait for the next adventure! Cheers.
Thank you so much!
NICE! Just Subbed
Thanks mate, welcome!
YES!!!! I've been binge watching all your other videos hoping for a new one!
And it's an hour, BONUS!!!! You are a legend sir!
That's awesome! Yeah, I used to not put out longer videos because I felt that people wouldn’t watch the whole thing but I’ve been proven wrong. If one is interested and they don’t have the time they can watch it in segments. I am so honoured enjoy the outings William! Cheers
You put a smile on my face
I’m gonna have to quit watching your videos. Every time I watch I leave hungry as can be. 😂. Looks like a great camp 🏕 and video
Hello mate, nothing like good food and good scenery. Nature's reset button. Nice to hear from you and thanks for coming along.

Living well mate and editing a previous adventure. Hope you will enjoy it vicariously. Cheers
@@TheLoreofBushcraft I know I will. I also get out. Recently set camp in Joshua Tree. It's a beautiful place.
Reach out to on Instagram, I would love to see photos of the beautiful Joshua tree park.
Hope your keeping well pal. Hope your still going to make some videos soon 🙏🏴👍
Yes mate all good here, still going out camping, however, I'm training for a Spartan race and an Ultra Marathon in my spare time whilst holding down a full-time job and having a part-time job as a Personal Trainer. The filming of my adventures is not the issue, it's the editing I don’t have time or patience for. I am working on a trip this week so hopefully I will have it out soon. Thanks for your query. Cheers 🇬🇧
Hey how you keeping man? Channels gone a bit quiet lately.
Hope all is well with you and yours.
Look forward to more top quality content in the future.
Will do, still going out and will release some adventures soon. Life’s is good, been doing a lot of Trail running and racing lately. Thanks for asking mate, I trust things are well with you. Cheers mate
@TheLoreofBushcraft fantastic stuff! All well here over the water in ol Britian. Keep up the good work
Hope life’s is treating you well miss your videos
Hello, yes all is well. I was just taking a break from filming but I have a new one coming out soon. Thanks for inquiring of me mate!
fantastic once again, my friend! what size is that tarp?👏👏👏👏👌
Hello mate, thank you! The Tarp is 2.5 x 2.5 metres. I’m 5’9” and I can stretch out in any kind of configuration with it.
Hey Carn, I've been meaning to ask you something concerning the meat you carry in the bush. How long does the meat last without refrigerating when your in the forest? Is there specific types of meat that last longer than others or the type of wrapping used to keep it from spoiling?
c
Hello, the answer is: I don't eat meat. I've been vegan for most than 8 years now. The mock meat you see me consume is produced by Impossible Meats and Beyond Meat. And to answer your other question, they don't spoil as quickly as animal flesh does and can last up can 4 days, five at a stretch in mid-summer. However, I do store it in the stream or creek (in my Bushpot with a rock on top) if I will be more than 2 days to keep the temperature down and extend the shelf life.
Thanks for getting back to me on that. I should of thought of that because that's how I've always done my canteen or beverages, thanks Carn.
What spice kit do u have there? Ive been looking for one exactly like that.
Hello Jacob, sorry for the late reply. It a Badger Claw spice kit
34:01 Hello, what ist this in your coffee. Thank you from Germany Berlin
Your Videos are great, I love it extreme… 😊
Hello Anne, that is an 18th century style Sugar cane cone. They still produce sugar like this in many British colonies. Glad that you are enjoying the adventures. Cheers
I was wondering about the same thing - I was about to ask you if it was cheese 😂 (some place they put cheese in theire coffe) - Greate stuff you put out, just subbed 😊 Greatings from Norway by the way
@perstianjohnsen9673 Hello mate, I’m honoured. Welcome aboard.
Anyone know what hat he’s wearing?
What did you add to your coffee?
18th century style cane Sugar
Haven’t seen you in a while… I hope all is well with you
I'm well mate, still going out to the woods, but just not filming lately. The filming and editing became work for something I do to get away from it all, defending the purpose. What I do is supposed to be the opposite of Technology and an enjoyment of nature. Just taking a break from editing and filming, but I’ll be back to share my adventures. Cheers
Love to see more bushcraft videos👍👍 keep it up! Greetz from germany!
Hello Deutschland, working on some new ones and they will be out soon. Thanks for keeping them in demand. Cheers

That water /oil flask always leaks you still using it?
Hi, I filled it with beeswax and it works just fine now
@@TheLoreofBushcraft Thank you so much ,miss your videos.
Apologies if you have already answered this question previously, but have you stopped making videos?
Hello mate, I’m just an hiatus. I really hate editing, my objective was to make a UA-cam channel initially, my objective was just to hang out and enjoy myself out in nature Like I have all my life, but many asked me to share my experiences, and that’s why I started my channel. However, that was during the pandemic when I had time to edit. I am working on one now and wish to have a released very soon. Thanks for asking!
@@TheLoreofBushcraft Thank you for your response. I can empathise with you on this. I've been going out doing something similar for years also, but haven't made any videos. It's a great thing to share and potentially inspire others. Although, that said, I imagine it's a lot of work that takes you away from the moment and as you say, the editing is a big task in itself after the fact. It's a bit of a catch 22 situation. Are you from Yorkshire by any chance? I'm from Barnsley originally, now living on the border of Cumbria and Lancashire.
@@TheLoreofBushcraft great stuff mate. I look forward to the new video when it comes out. No, not on Instagram.
@@TheLoreofBushcraft forgot to mention, I think it's great you're rockin' the plant based cooking...there's so much macho meat eating in a lot of bushcraft videos.
Thanks mate, I really appreciate the understanding. I love nature and the beauty of animals. I simply wouldn’t harm the those innocent creatures, unless I was in a survival situation, but in our modern world we have abundance, so it’s not necessary to harm them. Thanks again mate!
Envidiable lo que hace este señor, que lindo poder salir asi turismo aventura le haria falta la compania de un perro a mi gusto
Why do you walk in the water with leather shoes.
Hello mate, I walk in the water with my tall waterproof leather boots that are specifically designed to handle such activities. They are GTX,treated and probably the toughest boots on the market. I walk in a stream because I’m going into bush and there are no trails leading that way. The water gives less resistance.
A really great video! I gave you a subscription and left a like there!🪓🌲
Wow, much appreciated! Welcome aboard 💪
