I like how this episode was basically just a rundown of a simple speed run of this game
Thank you guys for your patience on this one. This concludes my most ambitious episodes to date, and as such they took a while to finish. Your support means the world to me and I wanted this to be as perfect as it could be. Hopefully now, the show can return to its weekly schedule, more episodes are already planned for other games, but I won't reveal what games they are till they're ready to go.

I will never forget the glitch I pulled off in this game. Okay so I was using action replay (does it count?) and I had the superswim code activated (considering superswim is a glitch within the game itself? Yeah anyone can pull this off) and it was during the triforce quest. So when you normally enter the circle of light King of Red Lions tells you to get the rest of the triforce pieces right? Well, I made King of Red Lions wait at the very opposite end of the Great Sea, and superswam over to the ring of light. When I got there, the camera snapped to King of Red Lions and he said his thing, but then the camera SPED through EVERY PART of the Great Sea between King of Red Lions and Link, it was a real sight to behold! I wish someone would recreate that glitch and post it, I found it absolutely hilarious back in the day XD

The reason storage turns the world black when you open a chest without storing anything else, such as dialogue, is because when you open a chest the brightness of all the textures except for those which change brightness on their own (such as torches, the reflections off the mirror shield, Link's eyes and fire) gets set to zero by default, and is adjusted as the chest opening cutscene plays. It's easiest to see this when you open a chest with an important item inside, such as the skull hammer that Andy skipped in the video.
You should do a Sonic Boom episode. There would be a looooooot of glitches. xD

When they first announced the fast sail for Wind Waker HD they said they planned it for the original but it wouldn't have been possible, as the increased speed would keep the ocean from loading and Link would just fall into an abyss.
So then explain why the Super Swim, the fastest movement in both games combined, doesn't do that? Nintendo be lyin'.

Just so you know, you can store getting the Deku Leaf, and if you leave the area and come back in, you get the leaf, but the leaf is still there. If you get the leaf again, your magic bar will increase to the maximum amount. Wind Waker is a fascinating game to glitch around with. :)
Where do you get storage?
Jean-simon Plourde It's a bit tricky. Spam taking out the wind waker and putting it away while walking off the ledge right outside the potion room. You want to walk off right where the ledge creates a "v" shape. You also have to time canceling it just right.
See, this is what I love about this channel! Any other UA-camr would've just shown you the effect of the glitch with minimal explanation, but he takes the time to slow it down, add extra info, and even give some simple glitches after all of the complicated ones to keep the viewer interested. A+Start, you are the best!

The funny thing is, the "endless dropping" mentioned at 7:48 isn't actually infinite. It stops around 30 minutes in and the cutscene finishes, but then you appear at the ocean floor softlocked. There's a video of this somewhere on "formerly, CosmoSpeedrun's" channel if you're willing to sit through 30 minutes of weird, unstopping falling and camera derping.
One can only ponder how much of your time you used up to make this happen. Much appreciated.

That last glitch is actually pretty common among Zelda games. I have done it so many times in Skyward Sword. Once, I did the glitch in SS, and I had the practice sword from the beginning of the game. Only thing was, it could do Skyward Strikes! The next time I tried it, I just got the Goddess Sword. It's in Twilight Princess too.
Also, this is THE BEST glitch tutorial series I have found yet. It's not dry and boring, it thoroughly explains the glitches, and also, you can ask questions and A+Start will actually respond.

maybe you could have talked about the chest that can crash the game by jumpslashing on top of it.
Oblivion Walker this is news to me….?
When you go into the evil ghost ship (where you have to get the triforce chart and you hear that demented scream after opening the chest) if you walk upto it and jumpslash any where onto it. The game will crash. I think it is due to the chest not having a defined top area.
Also grabbing storage on your home island and talking to someone who crouches and then storing the text the next person you will talk to will crash the game because they did not have a crouching action.

Their goal isn't to beat the story, it's to finish the game as fast as possible. They spend months trying to find new ways to beat it faster.

Storage, I don't know. But other glitches make sense. For example, roll climping in the HD version.
Ok, your right. But just HOW? Are they just familiar with the games coding enough to know whats what?
Maybe, or someone could have discovered it by accident. There are a lot of people playing this game, maybe by luck, or if someone was messing with the controller... But looking into the game's files to find a mistake makes more sense. Or maybe they just know the mechanics very well. For example, in twilight princss, there's a glitch to get the master sword early. Watch an example and then read this:
Maybe that they know when wolflink does midna's attack, the spinning action the neck of the beast. The neck is, I think the point where Link smashes when performing the attack. But, the beast prepares his attack, lifting his own arm (I don't know how to say that in english). So, the neck goes up too. so, wolflink targets the neck and then goes up, and then we just have to do the jump attack to get more distance and get on the ledge.
Maybe people who have time to waste try things like that! I tried something like that for a minute and... I thought I had other things to do in my life.
I discovered this series quite late last night. Next thing I knew, it was 4 am, I was on episode 20, and my head was filled with fatigue and glitches for games that I will never play. then I got some sleep, woke up, and watched ten more episodes of even MOAR glitches for games I will never play. Please...help me....

Here's an interesting glitch I saw in this game once. A guy was doing an LP of WindWaker, and at one point he forgot how to do the Wind's Requiem. So he checks the menu, closes out of it, and right as he's about to do the song, he gets knocked out of the boat by a bird (maybe a helmorok, I've never played WindWaker.) He gets back into the boat and uses the WindWaker, freezing the action on screen, right when the bird is coming around for another attack. When he clicks out of the WindWaker display, the bird is still frozen on screen.

My friend and I played this game sooo many times through. We felt pretty awesome when we randomly figured out the soup glitch. Never ran out of soup again XD
Love the series. I'd specifically be all for more 8 or 16 bit game glitches. It's more fun to me seeing how an old 2D game can be glitched, over a 3D game.

I messed around with storage and found some almost game-breaking glitch.
If you store the King of Red Lion speak event before saving Valoo, use the Wind's Waker and going to the last message of Red Lion (just like we would to turn invisible), then check the stone with the Wind's Requiem instruction, the stone will become invisible and the Wind's Requiem Event will not works anymore. To get around this, I made the whole Dungeon and rescued Valoo, but the stone was still invisible. So I've made a speed swim to Forest Haven, randomly found a point to restore my breath in the middle of the ocean, but drowned anyway before arriving to Forest Haven. When I woke up, I was on Red Dragon, with the Fish event at Dragon Roost. So now I can use Red Dragon, even though I am not supposed too, but I still do not have Wind's Requiem. So I go back to the now invisible stone, and use the Wind's Waker. For an obscure reason, the event worked.
Now for some storage fun inside the Dragon Roost dungeon. You can do storage by using the ledge before the first cauldron, since the cauldron will push you back down. If you do storage, then triggering the "Flame event" (that make the chest appear), well the event will play out normally, setting aside the fact that the chest will not appear. If you go out, the enter the dungeon again, it will reappear. If you do storage again, and use the opening chest event (I wanted to see if I could clip through the locked door), well you are pretty much stuck, unless you exit and enter again the dungeon. When you enter the dungeon, the chest will be already open, but you do have the key to open the locked door.

A very simple one, but if you accidentally leap-slash the chest in the phantom ship, I imagine the great sea will be frozen in time by the cursed energy hidden within that chest... because the game will crash.

Apparently doing the bottle-switching glitch (explained at 13:45) when attempting to use a fairy on Link's grandmother to heal her causes the game to crash, since there is no empty bottle for the soup to be placed into as normal. I'm not sure what would've happened if my only other bottle at the time didn't have also have a fairy in it, giving the soup nowhere to go. Just an experiment with that glitch I thought I'd try. I wish the result would've been more interesting. I always loved this game, and I'm glad to be able to break it in so many ways now thanks to your video.

There's another glitch on Windfall, where if you hookshot up to the Cafe sign near the Eskimos shop, go on top of the cloth, turn the wind so it will go into the open shop entrance, drop down, activate the leaf, and wait until you can glide in, you can be in the shop during the day, and the results are hilarious, he pushes you everywhere, and he's basically a confused Eskimo Man.

I believe that their is certain situations in which you can perform a zombie hover and survive without the tingle tuner by collecting a heart. From what I remember this is used in one of the ways to skip the Helmroc King fight.
