Thank you for another great video, as always! My mom stumbled upon the slope, cliff, and door clips as she played back in the day, and used them at every opportunity in her playthroughs. It wasn't until I got older and learned about terms like "bug" and "exploit" that I realized the way she played this (and the sequel, and a few other games) was abnormal. When I finally told her about it, she was SHOCKED. She thought they were "secret tricks" coded in purposefully to reward clever players. She was really disheartened for a while after that, thinking bugs made her a cheater & bad at video games, but eventually she came back around and still casually hunts for glitches whenever she plays games.
In Portal, if you play with dev commentary, there is a way to avoid the puzzle they mention they kept in because they liked how ingenius it was for the player to find it.
I once played a "Tomb Raider" demo and painstakingly climbed all the way to the top of the temple room (which took skill) overlooking a bed of spikes at the bottom below...and then jumped onto it impaling Lara on purpose.....I was a weird kid...
I'm really loving the new intro and the graphics for button inputs. I'm not sure which of the classic Lara games it's in (mostly because I was watching a guy play mods), but there's another type of glitch for warping to the top of a wall. I might be remembering it wrong, but I though you have to throw a flare at a wall, then roll into it, and try to pick it up.
As someone that likes to try climbing as high as possible in every 3d game (even ones where you can't jump) most of these glitches look quite fun to mess with even as a non-speedrunner.
I somehow missed this juggernaut of a game when it released because I was Nintendo only in those days, but the jankiness of the era is so nostalgic for me that watching all these glitches ironically makes me want to play it more now! 😂
Back when this game came out just playing through it as a kid, This sorta jank happened all the time and we’d talk about the craziest things that would happen on the bus.
I forgot about this series. I used to watch it all the time, then you disappeared. I'm glad one of your shorts showed up in my feed, otherwise I would have forgotten about it forever.
I can’t believe you’ve been doing these for years and getting better and better over them, I really appreciate your dedication and content. Thank you for everything
104 episodes. Damn man it sure doesn't feel like it. I remember finding you Channel at least 5 or so years ago. Keep it up man. I love your voice and the energy you bring.
Really enjoyed this episode. I rented Tomb Raider from Blockbuster when I was 13...man that was an epic weekend. I never had the internet in my home at the time....figuring out where to go next in the game was often a challenge!
Always love to see a new Son of a Glitch episode. Can't watch it right now cause I have to go to work, but you know this will be the first thing I watch when I get back.
Hey Andy!! Just wanted to say thank you for your uploads and all your hard work. I love watching your videos and it makes me super happy to see a new upload come out.❤
5 year old me back in the day thought that I broke my older brothers new game and was to scared to tell him that was the start of my never-ending hunt for glitches halo 2 was peak glitch for me personally
Woohoo, another video from Andy! Al ays good to see you putting out content when you can, appreciate the effort! These were fun glitches to see in action, and reminds me that I need to complete the reboot series as well!
Kudos to you Andy to actually be able to control Lara in these older Tomb Raider games. I tried to play them not so long ago and had to quit simply because analog controls just weren't around in this period and to actually perform the qwop glitch without them must be a whole finger gymnastics
Quite the opposite. Because of the analog nature of the controls, they are always the same, meaning movements can be consistent, making stuff way easier
It's been over a WEEK since you posted this video, and I NEVER got a notification in any way, but I am SO THRILLED to see another upload from you, Andy. I really hope UA-cam fixes its shitty notification system, because I would've watched this seconds after it was released if I had known. I love your videos, Andy, and I really hope to see more and more and more of your content in the near future!!!!
Actually, for the Tomb of Qualopec skip glitch, the trigger to load the normal state of the next room is at the first corner rather than in the spot provided at 5:56 (it's the corner BEFORE that spot). Lara must AVOID going over that corner square by jumping through the corner of the wall in order for the glitch to happen since it won't load the normal state but keep the collapsing state of the room. Stepping on the spot provided doesn't do anything and you don't need to jump over it. Also, if you fail, you can return back and try again.
damn video only uploaded 2 hours ago and ive never seen your channel before but the yt algorithm really blessed me with the sick recommended tomb raider content
We now need a Pokémon diamond and pearl glitch. I recently pulled out my 3Ds and got a bit of nostalgia. And I think you’d make a great video as always!
What? I literally subscribed only a few hours ago and this video appeared. Sounds like magic. Anyways, again we have some great glitches here. For your hard work, here you go: 👍
Always happy to see another upload especially if it's son of a glitch. I was wondering if maybe you could revisit a few of the games you covered a long time ago such as Sonic 3 and Knuckles or Paper Mario TTYD etc. Great video as always ;)
None of the glitches he already talked about for Sonic 1,2, and 3&K are in the Sonic Origins remasters since they're all based on their mobile versions made by Taxman aka Christian Whitehead (same guy that created Sonic Mania)
@@arthursnyder6424 yeah I know that. I'm just saying like revisit the original s3&k. There's a lot of stuff to be shown off and it's all pretty cool stuff. I wasn't talking about Sonic Origins just to be clear
Life saver! I'm playing the City of Khamoon level on a no medkit, pistols only, kill all enemies run, and I got to the end before realizing I forgot to grab an item. The way back gets blocked off so I needed a glitch to back.

Love it when creators know each other :D
Thanks my dude, miss ya man
Ah, the early, often broken days of 3D gaming, a true treasure, indeed.
True 😉
Nowadays, games are broken, but more in a negative way, sigh 😔

That's just great. :)
She is not wrong, as they do reward a clever player...

Quality stuff as usual. Looks to be a very speedrunner-appealing game
It is! Check out Footi's speedrun attempt of tr2 with a freaking Dance Pad

Love seeing the glitches in these older games!

Great job on this episode Andy. Enjoyed the combination of the speedrunning glitches and more general glitches!
Yes
I missed son of a glitch in old games, specially beloved ones like Tomb Raider. Thank you Andy!
Yeah, i tried glitch hunting on old/classic games, or games that nobody did glitch hunting before...

Your explanations on how to perform the glitches is truly unmatched. This is true across most of your videos.

Nice new theming and opening sequence. I like it a lot.😁
I do love when you do old games too. So many glitches that make it so fun.😂
Such a great collection of glitches; thank you!
Nice! The legend is done working on Sonic Origins now that it’s out, and he’s back making son of a glitch episodes!

That qwop set up is insane.. the amount of time whoever figured it out spent figuring that out is beyond me. Good stuff.
No way the legend is back at it again with another glorious video.

In Tomb Raider when playing the PS1 version, it's the select button that brings up the inventory.
