As a Christian born Israeli citizen who is Arab, Bassem is 100% correct. If you are born as an Arab you are essentially treated as a lower class citizen and constantly being ostricized from the rest of society. Ex- buying homes or land in Jewish areas, or having professional careers that are either run by the state or predominately Jewish. This idea that Adam keeps bringing up that they simply love being there is far from the truth, the reality is they have nowhere better to go so they are forced to stay there. I’m Canadian-African and when I travelled to Israel, I felt like an animal. After two rounds of interrogation as to what I would be doing in Israel (tourism, graduation trip), I was finally allowed in. Also the country is hella expensive and it’s easy to see Palestinians and Christian tourists being treated like 💩 by IDF soldiers and orthodox Jewish people when you pay attention. 1/5, the only nice thing is the weather.

As a Christian born Israeli citizen who is Arab, Bassem is 100% correct. If you are born as an Arab you are essentially treated as a lower class citizen and constantly being ostricized from the rest of society. Ex- buying homes or land in Jewish areas, or having professional careers that are either run by the state or predominately Jewish. This idea that Adam keeps bringing up that they simply love being there is far from the truth, the reality is they have nowhere better to go so they are forced to stay there. Fortunately enough for me, my parents immigrated to the US while I was young and couldn’t have been happier with their decision.
