@@claytonwade3570yes exactly and because Lucifer knows father frank is truly a good person and he didn’t deserve what happened to him. It’s one of the things Lucifer hates most other than liars which is injustice.
That was the beauty of it if you watch the series, although to the uninformed is would seem that way, the nuance with which they changed that perception was magical and on point.
The Devil is many things, but he is never mindless nor senseless. Killing the priest offered no benefits... it was dispassionate cruelty. The Devil has no love for those who commit murder without feeling. Yet, even that doesn't explain his cries of anguish and rage... it was because Frank reminded him of the Morningstar of Heaven and the Light of God shining together. He kindled a hope in Lucifer that God hadn't abandoned him. He was a friend even after he saw Lucifer for *who* (not what) he was... And because he didn't deserve it.
This remains one of if not my favourite non action scene in the show and I’m on episode 4x3. Just that fact that he’d rage so hard like this at a man’s death. Something about it feels so real and powerful. Lucifer is definitely one of if not my favourite show now.
It shows that Lucifer despite what people’s perception and image of him is. He’s not evil he punishes evil. So seeing someone so pure hearted get killed. Someone who clearly didn’t deserve what happened to him would hit him deeply. Father Frank was one of the few people who understood Lucifer’s pain too.
What I love about the repeated “ why ?” Is that the “ spider “ tries to answer but lucifer cuts him off . Lucifer try’s to understand why but he is to angry to care to actually listen. Especially since frank is the only human that really knew and liked lucifer despite .knowing he was the devil
Always thought we would see Father Frank again, would have been a great cameo in the later series in the afterlife. Nothing too important but something like "I see our paths were put together one last time Lucifer"
@@delsinwaters8328the actor that plays father frank is victor strand in fear the walking dead i imagine thats why there was a scheduling conflict he was prob filming that
This was the episode that made me realise I was watching something way better than what I expected it to be, and cemented Tom as an incredible actor for me.
A good man died. A truly good man died protecting someone who betrayed his trust. Yet, the someone later regrets his decision n feels remorse. N lucifer is there to be witness to this. How cruel/ fragile life and people can be. "deserves got nothing to do with it - unforgiven"
This is the second time a minor friend of Lucifer's died and isn't mentioned again, the first was the girl Delilah whose death started his entire partnership with Chloe. Both their deaths had a major impact on Lucifer's life despite how little he knew them
Crazy how no one ever really questions some of the absurd displays of strength Lucifer has throughout the earlier seasons. I think the show intended for most people to know he was being truthful with everything the entire time but they were all in denial about it.
Such a good show and the greatest redemption arc. The ultimate prodigal's son and we know how that ended, it is the desire that God loves all his creations.
One of my favorite shows.. But I hate and love this scene.. Only thing I hate is how she didn't question how a man lifted a fat man without effort with one hand.. She should have known he was actually lucifer then.
Plus its actually really easy to do if your a strong man with an adrenaline fueled rage. Because you wont feel the strain and pain of your muscles and given lucifer has to this point already shown hes very strong physically zhe probabky chalked it up to adrenaline. No jokr adrenaline can make things possible that shouldnt be
Lets realise the scriptwriters just made the Chloe blind. She saw several unusual things before, started own investigation about Luci and then... "Ok, I'll ignore it"
It blows my mind how ignorant Chloe can be She just saw Lucifer lift a 250-300 pound man over his head with one hand and then goes “Yeah he’s not the devil” Bro what
I remember that part. God sent his most reliable angel to be the warden of hell, because hell can’t be run without having an angel in charge. But him praying after his friend - who was a priest - died still sounds weird. 🤷🏽♂️
Imagine lucifer of all things sad and enraged at the death of a priest.
Bc it was a senseless death, Frank had made friends with Lucifer, and was the only one to understand his true pain

Father Frank and him really enjoyed each others company.
It hurts Lucifer the most because Father Frank was one of the few people who understood Lucifer’s pain.

Love how Chloe never thought it was strange that Lucifer could lift a heavy guy off the floor with one arm with ease😂
Well he already pushed a guy through a window

I'd imagine that Frank, formerly Father Frank, gives Lucy that mocking half grin and teases, "I bet I'm STILL a better piano player than you!"

1:19. Lucifer knew where he was going.
Good observation dude!
He was 100% guaranteed to go to heaven
Father Frank only appears in one episode, but he's really one of the best characters of the show for me.

How did Chloe never realized Lucifer picked up a grown 230+ lb man with one arm?
Great scene that emotions even if your totaly opposite there still ground where they can connect on a deep level
