People looking at this as a sad scene.. to me it’s a beautiful scene. Yes, I am sad for Dan. I am happy for Charlotte. She made the ULTIMATE sacrifice. She laid down her life for another. She put herself between a person and a gun, assuming she was damned to go to hell. This was the biggest sacrifice one could make. Very selfless, to sacrifice yourself, especially if you think you’re going to go to hell.
Cameron Taylor it’s called martyrdom and it’s a ticket straight to heaven... kind of like throwing yourself on a grenade to save your fellow service members and being awarded the CMoH.
For someone who has experienced losing someone. I will never hate Dan, he is grieving. I'm sick of people hating on him when he has been through so much crap.
He was a normal flawed human being. None of us is perfect and we aren't meant to be. We are also able to change. I think Dan was just kind of an good example of that. He fudged up bad, but he accepted it. He worked to change, and was rewarded for that in the long run.
Love that Lucifer realizes Amenadiel was right about angel controlling themselves...Now he knows he gave himself his wings back because deep down he know he was becoming a better being but didn’t want to admit it to himself because for most of his existence he’s was described as pure evil
The moment where she said “will you stay with me” got my heart broken just because she was lonely most of her life and now that she has someone she doesn’t want it to end. Glad she got to go to heaven for finally redeeming herself.
@@emmarh.4272 No she won't be rejected from heaven because she repented, she made the ultimate sacrifice to put herself between Amenadiel and a gun, she regretted defending criminals who were back on the streets in a blink of an eye, she learned her lesson in hell and that's why Lucifer had no hand in her going to hell neither heaven but he knew she had redeemed herself.
It has taken me a bit too long to realize that part of the reason Chloe hugs lucifer is probably, because from her perspective Lucifer just discovered the corpse of his stepmother

I never thought Lucifer would be a programme that would make me cry, but I did at this scene. It embodied redemption, but Dan ended up having his heart broken. This is where you realise great direction, music score and casting can make a series or break it.
Out of all the episodes throughout the series, this is one of the rare ones that has really, really stuck with me. It has changed my perception on how i look at things in real life as well
Love the show, this scene was off the hook. Thought show couldn't get any better but this scene rocked it . Him getting his wings back proving his theory. The music the scene. Rewinded about 10 times.
OMG I forgot how much of a punch in gut that scene was. I cried like a baby then and I’m crying like a baby now. This show is/was one of the best on tv. I bought the boxed set of DVD discs so I could have it forever
The miracle was Charlotte finding a moment where her friend's life meant more to her than her own or even the prospect of returning to Hell. It was her redemption, and also Amenadiel's. He saw that moment in her, and it made him truly see what humans could be at their best.
When charlotte first died she was alone and lived a life knowing deep down everyone hated her She stood to the side and let evil triumph, and as such no oned mourned her passing. Now she dies in the arms of someone she put her self in front of to save, lived a new life where everyone loved her, and as such her death will leave many in mourning Charlotte could have been a joke character but she was the heart of this season, showing growth and helping others grow as well.
She’s easily one of the best characters in the whole show, the actress has amazing range and this scene just blew me away from both performers She sacrificed herself for her friend, the greatest act of love This whole scene was John 15:13 on screen and it was really one of the highlights of the season. I wish they had less filler episodes that season, because I know people who got bored and missed out on episodes like this one
man him going back home ot just find her stuff lying around, proof of her existence. lipstick on her mug, bed clothes lying around. That hits personally for anyone who has lost people.
Easily top 3 scenes of Lucifer. At 1:12 when Amenadiel is in quiet contemplation, then the vocals enter as he looks up in the sky and his wings appear. Just perfect.
So There’s seems to be a lot of confusion on the reason amendiel gets his wings back let me explain it to you Amendiel got his wings back because HE willed them back... yes it was all him ...why? As stated by Michael in season 5: the angels are self actualizing beings... they control what they are able to do and not do and even take away their powers all based on what they believe. amendiel even theorized this early on in this season when he was talking to Lucifer. An interesting parallel is that humans make their own hell. Angels make their own limits everything is self imposed. Amendiel Believed more than anything what he needed to do was set things right it meant ensuring that Charlotte sacrifice wasn’t in vain. He wanted to make sure she would end up in heaven so he took her their himself. because he believed more than anything in the moment that’s what had to do. Bypassing any self imposed restrictions on his abilities he had put on himself prior.
It’s not exactly about what they believe it’s something like that but deeper too in a sense that it’s also about if they believe they’re are worthy of something or by what they deserve that’s how even fallen angels can keep wings, because with the pain or whatever it is they’ve endured they still feel they deserve something and they might be scary characteristics because that’s what they see themselves still deserving deep down, both avengement and punishment
It also means this is the moment amenadiel forgives himself. In this moment when he cries for a human, he finally feels worthy to be an angel again. And its beautiful.
I really crying when I watch den is crying and when his death episode I watch and maze crying for him i literally got broke my heart and i started crying.this is my best best friend in my life.i hope season 7 lauch of Lucifer.
I cried, good and bad tears. All this she did, all this she tried to do just to finally become a good person. She was struggling to get rid of her past. I was also crying because of how sad it is, she died and never got the chance to fully redeem herself. Although, she was a good person and was fully there she just needed more time. She died for someone. I cried my ass off
I think the wings represent the nature of the angels. His first wings were darker, sharper and more soldier like. He was the soldier of god who didnt question things and his empathy was.. lacking. After experiencing all this he got softer and was able to shed tears for humans. all the emotions he felt, the love, the sadness formed his being anew. now his wings are brighter, bigger and softer looking.
That would explain why Lucifers Wings are so shining white. Even though he has a dark streak he has massive empathy for suffering humans and hate for bad people. Just remember when Father Frank died in season 1. And well, he questions things a lot.
HupfDole87 I think you might be right. Especially since amenadiel himself said that angels are the leaders of their own fates and they themselves control who they are
But if you look throughout the show, they aren't too consistent on the wings. Lucifer's wings changed from when he regained them in the desert to when he showed them to Linda. Amenadiel's changed from when he threatened Lucifer in the club, when he was standing in the street, when he was losing them, and now.
VtOL Wariors Well that's incorrect, I mean angels have always been the messengers and soldiers of God, those that don't do what they're told get cast out, like Lucifer and the small group of angels that followed him.
