The developers of this type of game need to create an NPC who will run around in those tight bends carrying a smartphone in portrait mode trying to film those drifts as artistically as possible for reels/shots/or such. Every rally that I have seen or attended has those and they are increasing year after year. Nice driving though.
Rumor has it that Dirt Rally 3.0 is on the way. With a little luck, they might release it in April or May, or even in the next few months. I just started playing Dirt Rally 2.0 myself a few days ago, and I have to say it's really cool.
So glad that I decided to get a wheel a month ago. Driving in these simulators feels so much more intense and satisfying when you get it right. Just expect to suck for the first few days that you have the wheel. It took a while for my brain to figure out when to turn in.
2 questions: - to those who have a driving rig for games like these, would you say that it makes you a better driver IRL? :) - those cars scattered around the track, I assume they're owned by spectators, a bit risky to have them there; who pays the bill if they're hit? 😛

Absolutely unrealistic physics. A car cannot glide on asphalt like that, even in winter. Anyone who has ever watched real rally races will understand.
