Tall, I am not sure how I missed this video. This is clearest explanation I have heard about the stages.
Love this kind of content, discussing cams, exhaust, throttle body, air cleaners and how important it is for those to all sync together.
Awesome video, really good having Adam talking technical while you do the normal talk really makes for a good video full of information for every person, keep up the great Videos Mr Tall
I didn’t know there is a stage V, and now I do. Thanks for giving me something to shoot for now.
I run my bike stock, I only put a bigger breather air filter on and a fan assisted oil cooler on that’s it. My 2017 street glide special M8 107 pulls hard as is. My work is RELIGIOUS OUL CHANGES, that’s the key to engine longevity in all three holes. I did add additional white light to the front & red to the back for safety that’s it, but motor work just to do it nope nope, I save my money.
Stage 1 is the max for me.. Personally I don’t get the whole performance thing for a bagger. I own a street glide because once I slowed my life down and started traveling and camping off a bike I found the street glide to be like the Swiss Army knife of bikes. It’s so versatile and does everything well. I reach my destination in comfort and can drop my gear and hit the twisties it just turns into a ballerina.. To tell you how much I’m concerned about performance, when looking for a street glide I opted to find the latest low miles 103 twin cam in a color I liked instead of the 114. Not only does it do everything I want it to do very well, but you just can’t get a M8 to sound like a twin cam.
Like you I’m religious on maintenance. All 3 wholes every service and run the same oils a guy that basically lives on bikes and has ran multiple twin cams from 80,000 to 100,000 miles. So I basically follow his maintenance routine..
Bought my 103 twin cam with a 110 stage 5 se tire shredder and it is great, not the fastest bike by any means but with the money already spent on it from previous owner I was happy to buy it
Thanks
That's great for saving money. I've spent well over $ 10.000 on my street glide, just on a screaming eagle 110ci conversion with SE 585 camshafts, tensioners, one piece back plate, adjustable pushrods with tubes and flat top pistons, rings, and SE High volume oil pump. I'm out of breath now. Lol
However
This is me doing my own labor as well, and usually I charge around $2,500 to my regular customers for a complete build unless I run into a problem.
Cool, good for you. It’s almost as if people can do whatever they want to their bikes…. Is the goal of your comment to convince others to not mod their bikes?
Explained to perfection! Great work Mr. Tall.
That was some good information right there. Appreciate you traveling tall....
Great video glad someone made the different stages clear
Another excellent tech video....
Luv when you do these as Adam and you break it down into terms, that the average person/rider/owner can understand. I'll keep watching...
Great info, thanks tall!❤
Nice succinct way to package this information. I have a 2022 Ultra Limited with Stage 1. With this information I’m happy with going to Stage 2 to complete my personal riding needs. Thanks for this segment.
Very good information. Thanks Tall.
Great video Tall.
Thanks
Great video Tall. When I get back from run 2 the hills 3 . I’m doing something special to Kong yes sir
Nice review keep up the good work traveling tall
We’ll see show this goes. Got the new crate 135 on the way. Changing out the cams, to a low/mid end cam from the one Harley puts in it. Full D&D exhaust.
I would add a stage 2.5 being the suspension and maybe even the brakes, at least the calipers.
Anyway we’ll see how this 135” crate fairs. 🏍️💨💥
New to the channel and, so far, i love what I see. I'm looking into a bike (first one @ age 50). Street glide is absolutely what I want. Keep up the good work brother.
I have a 2016 glide with 103. Did the 110 s&s big bore kit. Got the heads done, trask air cleaner and dyno tune. Made 127/132 and it not bad on the mpg
Great Content I'm learning a lot!!!
Fire explanations 🙌
Great video!!! Do you know how much power increases with different stages? Keep up the good work!!!
This was one of the best videos u have done.
Great Video!!!! Thank You!!!
Great job
Good content 🤙🏾
I went with the 135 . 554 andrews cam. No regrets. Hang onnnn.
Great watch!!
Great content--thank you
I got a stage 10. One step below an 11.
Great channel! Appreciate the information. My only remark is this. I have seen many use third party garages to add stage 4 and 5. Those people had issues. People who have the Harley dealer perform the upgrade fair much better.
It's important to find a good installer.
Really enjoy the videos with Adam. What happened to his arm?
All the engine upgrades are great for sum people but not for me i have A 2019 S.G with the 107 and when i want speed i can still jump on my Gen1 hayabusa for that ! Gd luck with all the upgrades!!
Stage 3 will take that to 119 cubic inches. Skip the Harley cam and put in a cyclerama.
Great ! My Ultra Limited 2023 stage 2 only and i can"t run more then 150km/h here LOL
POWERVISION license and dyno tune
Thundermax is fire 🔥 but is mad expensive and can do things not possible with modifying the stock ECU
Still riding the 103 thinking about a stage 2.
Always great content, but I just noticed I was unsubscribed. Fixed that! Looking at a 2011 Road Glide 103 to 124 Anything I should look for before I purchase?
Gotta love Zippers performance
My 107 with 468 (PV dyno tune and catless head pipes)
105/115
Stinks bc now when I think about when I change to a new bike I’m thinking… well.. I KNOW I need to do cam and exhaust
Once u cam u can’t go back
It’s like riding those HD touring chassis bikes .. there’s no going back
I know what you mean. My '17 107 with a Redshift Zippers 468, Kromewerks Dominator catless exhaust with Performance inserts, heavy air cleaner, Powervision tuned gives me 110 hp, 118 ft/lbs of torque. Love it!
A stock bike is like a runner running barefoot wearing a mask.
Roughly what are the costs for the various stages?
Great video
I think there is controversy in the Harley world about stage 5. Should it exist or not... That wasn't even a thing for the longest time until Harley Co. decided to start marketing it in their late model twin cam kits to charge more money. I have a 05 Dyna with a stroked Darkhorse crank, 107 cylinders, head work, Feuling cams, HPI throttle body with 5.5g injectors and thunderheader but it is still considered a stage 4. I also have a 15 Breakout with exact same engine components but 110 cylinders and it also is considered a stage 4.
I agree with you, all the other extra component (clutch, compensator, bigger pipe) are safety changes, i will agree with a stage 5 if you add a turbocharger on the bike..
I turned my 107 to a zippers 124 with the 472 cam and D&D exhaust..I’m in need of a clutch…any recommendations??
Haha a stage 4 with a comp and chain drive isn’t a “stage 5” that’s a stage 4 with a chain and comp. If I put a chain drive on a stage 2 bike is still just a stage 2.
The concept behind a “stage 5” is silly to me. This video had a whole bunch of awesome info in it though. Most everything else was pretty accurate. Definitely change those clutch springs with a stage 3 though.
Cool video Tall.
Thanks for breaking it down …
What can I do for a sportster a cam and slip on do u have any thing for that at zippers
I have a question I want to beef up my 103 street glide what can I do to it? I want to keep up with the 107-128
Is the tail of the dragon part of the ride
Where can i find the itinerary for run to the hills 3
Go over the new 135ci
Its got everything to do with how you ride ,because twisting it open off the line is a lot harder on any motor than rolling into it. I've been through it all, and learned how to respect my motor as I got older and more experienced. Ohh and its gotten way more expensive!!!
I will be bring my glide that I don’t have yet to zippers 😅
So with a stage 5 what kind of power 🔥🔥 are you getting?
In my backyard and you didn’t let me know!
Good information I would like to know the price for the different stages
A lot!! But nowadays, I guess everybody just puts it on credit
Does doing a stage kit, does it void the warranty?
I’m digging the channel , just recently found it.
If it’s done thru Harley it doesn’t void the warranty. I went stage 2 on my 114. 👊🏼
Yes unless harley does the work
Hey Tall, will you be competing in King of the Baggers? 😂😂
I thought a stage 1 was a hi flow filter, tuner and full exhaust. Never heard of a slip on being incorporated on a stage 1
I never hear about upgrading SE 110 motors. Any suggestions?
Tons of vids out. Check out headhoggers or RR just to name a few
I am in the vid
😃
👍🏿
I wish zippers wasn't so far away ! I'm in SoCal
@JohnDoe-bk5hf check out mickie cohen motorsports in Anaheim he can do it all I'm in Socal too
Love how you bleeped out that “tuner” absolute garbage except the ability to monitor the bike.
STAGE 1 . TUNE IF YOU CHANGE THE AIR BREATHER.TOLD YOU SO. STAGE TWO IS A STAGE 1 WITH A CAM AND TUNE, STAGE 3 IS A STAGE 1,2, AND 3 UPPER HEAD DIMENSION FROM A SAY 107, TO A 114 ETC.STAGE 4 MEANS JUGS AND CAM.STAGE 5 IS FOR TWIN-CAM ENGINES.
How much is a stage 5?
I couldn't help but to notice that road glide in the background, uhm isn't that your other bike!!
Wait.. You were here??? 🤦🏾♂️
Yes
I’m sorry, but all this is getting ridiculous! I am still running an old-school twin cam carbureted. I am running 510 cams, head shaved 10k ported and polished intake and full pipes… and I did the work. I like putting MY sweat and tears into it and stepping back being proud of
So why buy a brand new Street or road glide and then up stage it ? Why not buy an old bike a do it ? What’s the cost of these upgrades ? I’m not a Harley rider just trying to understand the amount of money spent on your bikes 🇬🇧👍🏿
$10k in mine. Wasted alot of it, when i did my stage 2 the dealer suggested the fp3 and shitty cam so when i went to stage 4 i had to redo both of those things... 7k for my stage 4 by itself
This info is only applicable to M8. The stages of twin cam engines are different as far as other parts you need to change.
All the same, but aftermarket, so they can call it whatever they want.
Hey, Adam hurt his arm.
Does anyone have the 107 to 119 Screamin Eagle kit? If so, how do you like it?
Beast
Why did you mute yourself a few times?
Eli. Good biblical name.
WHO DAT
Harley's way of ripping you off for more money after you buy an expensive motorcycle
Another road glide boring dude
