- This is exactly what I needed, now my 2023 Harley-Davidson Road Glide is the perfect bike for my long-distance touring! 2023 Harley-Davidson Road Glide gets a newly released Zipper's Performance Sport Touring Performance Kit, made especially for long-distance riders that need the extra power for the extra weight from baggage, two-up long hauls, and towing trailers. Tall, the Zippers videos with Adam are always fantastic. I just love his technical explanations and listening to his reasoning for his design philosophy. He really knows what he’s talking about and he’s right about how most of us ride. Oh one question, did you use the stock cam plate and oil pump?

Yeah, I knew good & darn well that a trip to Zipper's was due before you went cross country ! Going from a stock 107 up to a 124, it's totally believable that you doubled your HP & almost your torque. Those Zipper's kits are no joke ! But there some shops finally bumping up the displacement on Indian Challenger/Pursuit for 108 up to 112. It doesn't sound like much, but the numbers, from what I hear, are pretty impressive & close to yours .....
I know King of the Baggers is cool, but someday we'll all be getting to see the shootout that everyone has been waiting to see. I'll keep watching.....

Tall, my friend I love my Streetglide Special with reaper 465 cam alot, but my 21 Roadking Special is becoming my favorite scoot. Plan is to do the zippers 468 cam this winter. Each build just has those things we like more than others, but will always love the batwing.

I could have sworn you were are a street glide guy??🤔🤔 had to 😂😂 its ok..but thought that was pretty funny but between you and i cant remember his name but i follow him and im new..but hes a teacher and he has locked hair..anywho you two gentleman i look fwd to meeting im in Georgia and in sat im going to get my ROAD GLIDE i hope it comes with a screaming eagle/cvo engine and im definitely going to zippers! After i get it psinted by my guy Eddie. So a few months out..i can do this bc my lady just got her Mercedes Benz gle coupe 43s and now its pappas turn. Im building it for power and long distances. Again very informative!

I was thinking of doing some work on my 16 RGU to take out some of the lag it has out but was hesitant because I didn’t want to prematurely kill the engine as well as lose a bunch of MPG since I do long distance traveling.
I know you mentioned you would do a long term review and I look forward to it. Would you be able to go over MPGs and tell us if it really only drops when you do get on it and not all the time? I really like getting about 240 miles out of a tank but I like the idea of a little more power when I want it.

That depends on the individual. First up, if you can buy a good used bike that the previous owner has invested in with a few good improvements, then with a bit of discipline, turn a blind eye to all the temptations of unnecessary customisations so you can enjoy the actual ride, rather than get too fussy about things you don't need. With a well set up bike, the ownership cost isn't a lot, so just factor in 2 services a year plus registration & insurance and then compare how much your bike has depreciated in value compare to other vehicles, and perhaps owning a H-D isn't out of reach for a lot of people. Yes, the top end CVO touring models are special, but some of the entry level Softails can still give good owner satisfaction and keep the cost down. Put on a good set of tires, invest in comfy riding gear, enjoy every ride, and focus less on the customisation of the engine, etc and the grin factor reward you. Work hard, save your money, don't waste money on things that make you poor. Yes, it takes time, but well worth it when you achieve your goal.

Call Zippers. Pretty sure they would steer you to a shop they do a lot of business through. I use Zippers performance products in all my customers bikes. I personally have a Muscle Kit on mine. Love it.
