I use the UA24 for daily EDC, to and from work, general purpose, laptop backpack. I use the 2DAP for duty use (military), out of town bag, and a hiking pack. Definitely love them both. I do wish the water pockets on the UA24 is stretchable.
I just got a 2dap to replace an old Timbuk2 messenger bag I've had over 10 years. Looking to do some hiking with the family and got a great deal on it as well as a bunch of UA21s. Thanks Pack Hacker for the great comparison videos.
You got it, thrice born! Glad you found the comparison videos helpful & that you were able to pick up this pack on a good deal. Let us know how you get on with it! 😊 - Rebecca
I just received my Huckberry 2DAP yesterday so your review/comparison is very timely. As ever it was full of great information and observations. Thanks
Great video, I came from “ The grey bearded green beret channel” who sports this bag, I wanted to see a review of the grey man -vs- tactical, great info on this video👍
Great video! This is the only video I found comparing the two sizes of the 2DAP. I think the size only pertains to the straps? I ordered the L/XL of the 2DAP because it was the only one available in the color I want in my country. I hope it fits okay on me (5 ft 8). I also bought some web keepers to handle those excess straps in case they get too long.
The 2DAP’s two sizes have a lot of crossover. I normally wear a Medium on most backpacking packs, but on the 2DAP I chose the L/XL size because on the S/M size I had to extend the yoke pretty far up in order to fit my torso. And yeah, the only difference in size is the length of the yoke. L/XL has a longer yoke, S/M has a shorter yoke. Everything else is identical.
@@Antenox Just received mine today and I don't find anything wrong with the fit. I can't compare it with how a S/M would fit, but I have no complaints with this one.
I just got the 2 day assault. I’m debating of returning it for the Urban Assault. For camping and outdoors I’d def stick with the 2 day . But I don’t like all the molly and straps on the 2 day for edc / city carry . In my opinion the “tactical” look makes you stand out in public or traveling.
Stick a few colored sharpies and a keychain through the molle and it will change the look of the whole bag. You go from outdoors/shooting looking to someone who just got the most practical backpack for them. It’s a great way to take the signature of the bag down
The molle on the black 2dap is the most inconspicuous, followed by the coyote colorway, the foliage one has lighter colored webbings which contrast with the bag color and stands out more, forest is more blended in but more of an army green, or you can go for blue/indigo which doesn't look so army anymore. The Urban Assault feels like a cut down bag, cut down on utility and size, 2dap is more like 29L, if you need expansion then you want the bag with more options.
I'm kind a starting to like that Y-shape zipper design. Just wondering would it work if it would be same way on both ends (top and bottom) of the bag? You could really open it for organizing things on inside pockets. Actually I'm not anymore sure if it's even possible to made :-D
I would recommend some non-tactical colors. For me it's all about looking like a non tactical guy to avoid bringing attention to myself. Also, lose the webbing. Another dead give away.
This video was literally perfect as I was looking between both of these packs today lol

whats your laptop size? Will any of these backpacks fit a 17'' laptop?
@@xtrash1ove
It’s a 21” laptop.

@@Antenox hey 👋
What is your torso length? Also, what is your height?
@@zavirax I'm short, like 5'7", but I have a longer torso for my body size. (Which makes me look even shorter, lol.)
@@Antenox my torso is 18-20 inch. Which size do you think I should pick?
Great comparison, now Coulee 25 vs 2DAP,
If anyone knows if the hydration sleeve on the Coulee can hold a 13” laptop let me know.
No it doesn’t - sleeve is quite narrow, designed for a bladder only.
I wish there were a 2DAP in an 18L... I like to attach stuff on the outside of the pack. Mostly water bottles and a poncho or jacket
Question about 2DAP. I do see the S/M and L/XL in selection but where the size differences is at?
Was the volume changed of the 2dap, according to the website, it's 27liter

I wouldn't worry about it. Molle is so common on backpacks now it's more of a fashion statement than anything else.
I like to stand out
Get the 2 day pack in all back and no one would be able to see molle unless they specifically look for it,

the middle zipper would have to be a two way zipper like some winter coats have
Is the huckleberry also made in Vietnam or wherever? Not American made
Nam. If it was US made it would be $10,000
Great, informative video as always. Love your content!
Appreciate it, Bachewey!

Great video! Did any of you used the UA24 as a personal item on various airlines?
Yes, no problem with that. Tried it on various airlines. It fits well under the seat.
General guidelines is 22” H, 10” D, and 14” L for airlines and this bag is mallet all the way around that
disappointed with the lack of ranger green lol
For the 2dap, do you have any concerns about a full load potentially putting bending strain on the laptop given the curve of the harness against it?
High chance of breaking the laptop if your using this pack out on the war fields

2day New Color?
Yes, Huckberry edition, hummus with orange interior.
thanks for your excelente work. very helpfull for the right choise! how about a GR1 Goruck VS Mystery Ranch UA24? thanks!!
Dude if your still with mask ... check yourself
Thinking the same!
Whats wrong with wearing a mask? Don't you like being able to conceal who you are to complete strangers?
