She is a doctor. She did not earn a Ph.D (Doctor of Philosophy). She earned a DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy). Physical therapists do not earn M.D. (Medical doctorates) or D.O (Doctor of osteopathy), but DPT is a doctorate with actual medical training. It's not the same as a Ph.D., which also deserve respect.
All that said, Carlos just says anything. Please explain to me how Dr. Thompson is a "first responder."
@@Ennui83 . True, she’s a doctor of physical therapy not an MD or DO. And she should know that when she uses the term doctor, she should let the person she is speaking to know that she is a doctor of physical therapy and not a medical doctor. Nine times out of ten on the show, she did not clarify she’s a DPT, and not abMD or DO. She along with her husband consistently use it without clarifying she’s a DPT. Physical therapist do not receive medical training. They receive clinical training in the science of physical therapy, recovery, and preventative precautions to protect the body.
Lord I couldn't finish the season. I think I watched 3 and a half episodes but let's see what this reunion brings.

Christina is right. If Latoya wanted to be the mediator she should’ve pull them both back in to resolve it. She chose a side and made her the villain. Everyone is not wrong but Christina and Brandon and it’s late. Kolby was wrong they could’ve had a conversation she took it to another level.

Before the LAMD reunion aired Carlos teased that LaToya was going to get Kristina all the way together. So after watching part 1 and 2 of the reunion I'm still waiting to see this so-called gathering. LaToya didn't read her at all.
The drama between the couples were very petty and immature. We needed better stories

I thought it was just me. I get she has a doctorate in physical therapy, but no one in the hospital setting would ever call her Dr. Thompson. Definitely do not recall seeing any physical therapist on the Covid unit. And have never seen a physical therapist during a code.

But something tells me from this conversation as well as a combination of that look, Latoya does not like Kristina. I've never watched the season and this is my introduction to Love and marriage Detroit... But I can see that clearly... Latoya's energy towards Kristina has animosity in it.
I watched every episode and that’s what I got that Latoya didn’t like Kristina and she was happy to see them fall out so she could take Colby side

I must admit the only thing I knew about the city of Detroit is what I see in the media. I had no idea it wasn't the craphole I see with all of the toe tagging and robberies. These couples are an inspiration. I am so pleased.
I’m glad you got to see a better perspective of Detroit. Our city is actually pretty gentrified and the crimes you see in media come from a very small area and lots in the “metro” area (outer banks), Detroit is safe and full of entertainment. I appreciate the show for displaying the good

It's not a bad first season. I hope next season they will all be back with 2 additional couples that are friends with some of the original cast.
Also, I want to see more of the work, home, and play life. Not constant drama amongst the couple. I also how they show real-life relationship conversations. I wish they would show more of that and how they come to a resolution.
Overall, I love The Love and Marriage Huntsville and Detroit because they seem more authentic than LMDC since Monique and Chris Samuels.
