Listening to hasan argue with people, is like reading a Reddit argument that has 75 replies. You already know that one guy is going to make an extremely valid point and.will back it up with plenty of information and sources. While the other guy is just going to be spouting buzzwords and basically dancing around whatever points were made just so he can be like "I'm right and you're wrong."

Everybody says that Destiny has a cult and people just follow everything that he says, but just take the time to listen to his arguments. Maybe sometimes he is wrong, but I never senses malice behind what he says. He may use crazy examples at times, but I've always understood that as a way to make idiots understand a point that they refuse to acknowledge. Destiny uses a lot of hypotheticals to explain his focal point, and sometimes people attack him for those instead of attacking his original idea. He seems a pretty reasonable person to me.

Since I don't watch him for his politics, I'm not going to bother dissecting exactly where I disagree with him on any given subject.
I love how Hasan almost never actually makes an argument to support himself he just uses his chat and whoever the hell he brought on to agree with him on that given day. Maybe it’s because whenever he does he ends up making the dumbest comments in the whole interaction.
I've said this before, and I'll say it again. Be charitable. Hasan is not a grifter. He's an irresolute, clout-sharking, Normie-socialist, midwit. Be fair next time...
You talking with Jidion would actually be interesting. He’s pretty thoughtful, nuanced, and a great communicator even if he isn’t super politically informed it would be cool to see. Seeing y’all talk would make my year.

I mean saying someone is: "as dumb as I thought he was" doesn't make it racist just because the person he said it about was black. Still a dumb thing to say though.
It's so fucking weird. I started with Destiny, migrated to vaush, migrated to hasan, started drifting away from hasan, started drifting away from vaush, now back to destiny. Bruh, this isn’t your run of the mill suburban mom that is scared of black people. This dude is LITERALLY the neighbor and organizer under the GRAND WIZARD. What kind of open dialogue can you do with this 65+ year old man?
I could see Destiny having a unexpectedly high amount of pro-life people in his following. I'm pro-life and I value Destiny's honesty and rationality. Ultimately those questions come down to moral frameworks. And I feel like there would be more people open towards a pro-life view if those frameworks were discussed with more honesty.
I'd be open to pro-life (with the exception of rape, cases where the mothers life is in danger, and maybe cases where the infant/child will live a shitty life) if we taught people how to use contraception and actually took care of the kids in foster care. As it is 25% of them end up homeless at 18 and many of them suffer abuse or go hungry. If we fixed that first and then focused on whether or not abortion is moral I see a lot more people leaning towards pro-life, get those who aren't pro-life just bc of their religious background.
Most people are pro life. Abortions suck man, people who have abortions have a bad week. But saying it's murder, is really stupid. Pro life people are secretly anti abortion and anti abortion is stupid because of a lot of reasons. Most importantly because a small embryo is definitely not as important as a grown woman and conservatives agree with this or are liars.
Im white, grew up in a majority black area, went to majority black schools, got made fun of for being white, joked back at thaem for being black, we laughed and moved on. The code switching from other white kids was embarassing to me and the black kids hated it. Hasan would be one of those kids. Just be honest with yourself.
I really hate the exceptionally bad racism humor while pretending to be a conservative. If you wanna parody an actual position that you feel is racist and pretend to be that then fine. But just expressing your own intrusive racist thoughts and projecting that onto conservatives is weird as hell. Like Vaush's racist liberal bit. Some of that felt like his own shit that he wanted an excuse to say.
I will say though, Jidion’s constant centrism and acting as though being pro segregation is “just an opinion” on top of him saying Hasan is more racially charged than the literal KKK member because the KKK guy was more civil and Hasan wasn’t cringed me out of my mind
How do people listen to Hasan for hours every day? Like even if you agree with him on everything just the way he struggles to form a coherent sentence makes me not wanna watch him.

He can't understand Jidion's situation of being a minority in that town and having to be respectful towards his adversaries in order to make progress. But he basically implied Jidion was promoting or normalizing separate-but-equal rhetoric. Which he certainly was not
To the people that would say White Lives Matter, I would first ask them how they feel about BLM. If they say it is exclusionary or that they are against it, then I would activate my trap card and ask them why they support WLM then.

Some of them are even in protest of hate crime laws like the one at the Texas Capitol.
Just don't ever reject or demean others eventho u have morally right intentions. You will just push them to the opposite side of you. Just look at so many of these new movements. Most of them are from the extreme reaction of radical right and left. Then, an endless cycle of hate and no progress made while external issues arise and will crush your country. Tolerance, empathetic and understanding is the only way you can bring others to your side.

I like Hasan. Actually, more so than Jidion. Jidion is not pro black, and actually leans conservative socially. He uses blackness as the butt of all his jokes, that’s why his community is so white. Y’all don’t speak for the black community.
This is why I enjoy Destinys content. The topic of crypto political arguments and discourse is so correct. So much of the actual discussion is bogged down in the debate tactics and radicalization of subsequent reaction.
My favorite part of American politics, is calling everyone but whites people of color. 1. It's antiquated, it obviously comes from being called "colored", I thought that was bad. 2. It sounds like a shitty fantasy faction, e.g. men of Gondor. 3. White people have colors too.

There are polls that show that “republican” leaning people have a more accurate understanding of “democratics” then the other way around. While the extremes of both are bad and I’d fear the extreme right more than the left, one side isn’t as bad as the other when it comes to “reality”. Again. Bad shit crazies on both. But as someone in the middle left, the takes on the left are more frustrating than the right on average.
It’s funny because I immediately pointed this out when Hasan first reacted to the original video. Hasan’s 1st initial reaction was literally “ohh nooo! What??? He’s trying to white wash this??”. And him and his fans don’t realize how telling him just saying THAT is. He obviously wanted overt racism to happen like in the video that made Jidion want to go there in the first place. It’s not “white washing” to document your own experiences. He didn’t have a political agenda going in, he just wanted to make content and it was a win/win for him. Either they were gonna be racist which is entertaining content (sorry but it is), or the opposite would happen like it did, and that’s interesting content as well. Hasan and his dumbass followers were disappointed that Jidion didn’t make a video with THEIR narrative. They were disappointed that he didn’t experience overt racism. And then immediately pivoted to “well, people aren’t going to be openly racist like that”, even though as I said, the video that caused Jidion to do this were people being just that, lol. The sooner people realize that Hasan is just a male bimbo turned cult leader, the better. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Jideon went there to make money. He saw the amount of views the original got and dollar signs shot out of his eye sockets like a cartoon. There is a reason why there is already another person that went to that town. Millions of views. Jideon then reacted to that video for even more views. He absolutely had a political agenda. He might not have been pushing a specific one but using racism to garner views is political.
Yeah this is not a good analysis. Hasan says dumb things often, but this isnt one of them. He is 100% correct when he says jideon was thinking as a content creator first. Similar to how Joey salads made ultra racist "prank" videos; I doubt he's racist but he knew he'd get money from it. Jidion literally just showed "hey, racism is overblown. Even the most racist people aren't that bad, we could just talk normal and these young impressionable kids find me funny." He doesnt realize that racists are people too and not disney villains who will become rabid at any sight or interaction with those they despise. They care about themselves more than they hate everyone else

You’re the 2nd person who has replied with that like that isn’t what I just said. I clearly said that Jidion went into this with zero political narrative. He knew it would be a win/win content wise regardless of “what happened”. He saw a video titled “the most racist town in America”, where people in the video were publicly yelling out racist shit to someone. He didn’t experience that when he went. And Hasan and his fans were disappointed with this. Jidion had no intentions on “white washing” the overtly racist narrative that was shown in the other video, he literally went there to make content and to experience it himself. It wasn’t his goal to make them look one way or another, that’s just how it ended up happening. And a lot of terminally online dweebs have no idea what a “civil conversation” is. You can vehemently disagree with someone with what you’re discussing, and it still be a civil discussion. There’s this prevailing narrative that is primarily from the left that even talking with a conservative is bad. That associating with them in ANY way is bad. That allowing them to speak at all is bad. Which is absolutely insane, and is another reason a lot of people are being pushed away from the left. They see these insane takes that aren’t just one off, weird extremist exceptions, but as I said, the prevailing thought among most lefties. And y’all don’t seem to understand the ACTUAL damage this is doing, because you have the mentality of “oh well, if they don’t agree 100% with the most left ideals that we propose, then fck ‘em, the right can have them”. Which is such a retarded way to go about it that it just gives me a headache and makes me not even want to bother engaging with people like that. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@OJuggernautO except he did have an agenda --- to go with what was easiest to sell. The people were racist, just not overtly mean and aggressive about it. If you start yelling and screaming at a famous black person on camera you will likely face social consequences. Even the random "Karens" who are caught on film face consequences. It's fine that he was able to have a civil discussion with a clan member. In fact it's good. The problem is him failing to challenge the beliefs or show the consequences of the beliefs misleads the audience into thinking white supremacy is just a harmless difference of opinion. Look at the British black guys video (I forget his name) and compare them. He had the same core message that most people are fine in the town but didn't paint klan members/ideology as reasonable just because they weren't aggressively mean to him (why would they on camera?). Richard Spencer spoke articulate and well 95% of the time; but after a while he started legit calling for bad things to happen to those he thought needed to be cleansed. Anyone can be polite my guy.
Destiny is so wrong on the liberal take. Liberal is a word much like fascist in that its meaning has completely shifted. Socialists and wokeists are explicitly anti liberal. A liberal is someone who respects enlightenment values (or in other words the tenants of the constitution) and can be conservative or left wing. An anti liberal stance would be anyone against free speech, gun ownership, ending of slavery, universal suffrage etc etc. Although it took a long time for America to fully realise many of its liberal ideals, the constitution was the document that paved the way for those freedoms to be given
Online, to the left, the word has shifted. In the real world it hasn’t. To right wingers it hasn’t. They don’t distinguish the difference. There are still plenty of right wingers who call Biden a socialist.
You can have your own understanding of the word, but you should also be cognizant of other people's understanding of the word, even if you don't necessarily agree with their definition of the word. *Understand without agreeing.* It makes it easier to communicate with people with a different worldview.

Unfortunately Hasan doesn't even know what racism is, I watch Destiny, Hasan, Young Turks, Schapiro, Crowder, Brett Cooper, and so on and so on, and Hasan's audience is by far the most racist, it's not even close. I'd say there was more racism in Hasan's chat than all the other big political commentators combined. And I say unfortunately, because if he was more aware, he could bring about more beneficial change. No matter what the subject is, there will be a number of racist comments against white people in particular in his chat., to the point that it's almost cult like, and clearly mentally unstable behaviour, it's almost like they have white racism turrets. Hasan could be watching a video and something as innocent as a white kid showing up on screen playing with a toy or whatever, and his chat will find a way to make a racist comment.

@@Onthebrink5 That’s literally what I said. That Jidion didn’t go there with a political agenda in mind, he went there because it was a win/win content wise. Which is exactly what I said.
@@donniebao “Hasan says dumb things often, but isn’t one of them”
What is this even supposed to mean exactly?
“He was 100% correct when he says Jidion was thinking as a content creator first”
Yeah… that’s literally what I said.
So he went with "racism isn't that big of a deal (even the biggest racists are still pleasant)" and used the fact that even racist people, like every other group of people, prioritize self-preservation and have some level of social awareness.

I havent been able to take alot of people who are self described liberals seriously since when I used to engage more in political discourse any deviation from their beliefs means you are literally a nazi or the spawn of hitler.
Wait he mentioned the 2000 mules video... did he end up watching it yet? I'd love to see his comments on that.
Anyone have a link to which vod/vid/etc if so?
Hassan calling himself white to me is soooooo odd cause in Europe he absolutely wouldn't be considered white and he looks completely middle eastern to me

Malcolm X was a Separatist, who wanted Black Spaces for Black Industry. He didn't want to have to move to a different Country for that to happen, he wanted that here in the US.
At the end of his life he denounced that opinion. Malcom X went to jail for having a relationship with a white woman, and that clearly impacted his positions, which is understandable. Why say he was always a separatists when that isn’t true. He also didn’t want this in the US he was a pan Africanist.

There is a lot of stock in his words of segregationist versus seperationist.
As a black person i understood that if segregation was an option he would take it but because that is no longer possible he will activly seperate himself from black people, which i have no problem with. Its a free country. And why would you complain about a racist isolating him/herself from you. Sounds like a win win to me
him separating himself from whoever he wants is his right the problem is it doesn’t stop there he wants blacks and whites to be segregated again and erase decades of civil rights. Jideon making this seem like an acceptable opinion to have is the problem.
@@samapesh795 These people will never come into power again. So it doesn't matter what he wants, or even how extreme his views are. Jideon also never said "this is an acceptable stance" or anything condoning his views. I found that man to be very civil and actually feel sorry for him because he is trapped in that mindset he subscribes too. But again i must emphasise, these people will never have the power they used to. So live and let live, hopefully their ideas die with them.
That person complaining that Destiny has people who watch him that don't support abortion is cringe. Like Half america doesn't support Abortion. I am fairly right leaning but enjoy Destinies thought process, he doesn't have to defend MY position on abortion and shouldn't be held to account for others actions. So hasan is white passing and white?
Do you need to pass for what you are? Or has he still not made up his mind on what race he wants to be or is it dependant on if he needs victim points?
It comes down to what suits him or his narrative in that particular moment.
@Vebunkd and there are whiter "black people" than them (eg: Shaun King, aka snow white), your point?
C'mon don't be stupid. We know that whiteness is something to navigate. Groups get accepted as years go on, such as Italians eventually being considered white. Middle Eastern people, like Hasan, are a group that still get debated on. And it depends where they're from, like Turkey is part of Asia and Europe. It's complex. Hasan saying he's white and white-passing isn't a big deal.

It's not a big deal, but you're making the assumption that hasan is good faith.

A disparate outcome is not evidence of racism.
True. But often times, where there’s smoke, there’s fire.

Yeah, right-wingers and conservatives aren't known to go out to start trouble when things don't go their way or when a white criminal gets rendered harmless by the police. That's on the left yet the left is the side getting special treatment and acceptance by governments and the media.

@@jafidayman4832 it's not arbitrary, this community and Stephen uses that as a crutch to handwave and dismiss arguments. Leaning on this "arbitrary" rhetoric is an exercise in thought terminating cliche. Just because we have different views doesn't mean either of us arbitrarily came to those positions. If that were the case then there is literally zero reason to even attempt political discourse, because you're asserting absolutely everyone just whimsies along to their worldview. If that's how you really feel about it, that's your prerogative and it'll only serve to polarize.
Plus when I was in the comments section of the video it was shockingly tame and exceedingly respectable for pulling in Rackets' audience. We get rowdy over there (but not misogynistic or hateful). Alright lets go Destiny
all hasan wants to do is call people nazis from his bedroom, at least jideon actually went and documented some real life and the way he did that was by being civil and polite no matter who he was talking to, but according to hasan that's cringe? lmao
And although Hasan isn't as bad as his chat, he's still quite guilty of this himself. He clearly hates Europeans for some reason, I think a lot of it comes down to jealousy.
He went “in the thick of it” and came out with “the KKK didn’t kill me when i went to them”. Groundbreaking journalism.
Who's the guy sitting next to Hasan? I haven't been keeping up with literally anything related to Hasan Piker.

At least five.
I believe his editor has a 40% profit sharing deal with destiny for ad revenue (not subs and donos) and destiny said he's making like 15k a month at that 40%. So we can assume 350k as an absolute minimum . My personal guess is 500k.
