Thanks! I still haven't tried the Commander 2 but looks very promising. Seems like they have addressed many of the cons I've mentioned in this video. cheers
I have it, the commander 1 like you, and the mechanism of the solar panel is way too weak in my opinion. It's only guided on the top/left side, and tends to move out of the way when I open or close the helmet, I'm really concerned it will broke someday. I will have to glue something under to help guide the mechanism. They changed it on the Commander 2
Great review. Thanks for the detailed information. Just curious, I see the action camera mount is very minimalist. Which one is this and does it hold camera without any problem ?
Hi mate, Glad you liked the review! I have the camera mount for 2-3 years and never had any issues with it. Put it once and stayed in places. It is from ChinMounts.
That’s the first generation. If you have the extra money, definitely go for the second generation. The second version addressed some of the pitfalls mentioned in this video.
After more than 22.500 km using the Airoh Commander I can agree with your review. (CRF 300 Rally) It's a little loud on high speed (>90km/h) and the bottom of the inlay get's eldering cracks. And it doesn't fit fort the use of QuickStraps..... In conclusion one of the best ADV helmets!

Great colour coordination with the bike!! Great helmet review, actually the first I have watched. Why watch yours? Because you are not boring.
Bravo great straight to the point and honest review without any frills.
I’m really considering the Commander 2 for my Africa Twin CRF1000.

Thank you for a very nice review. I'm going for commander 2.
My pleasure and glad to hear it helped you in your decision!

Nice to know this has been changed on the Commander 2. I’ll try to review the new version as soon as I have it

Like me, I see that you have glasses. Is it easy to install and wear them with this helmet? not too much pressure on the temples? Thanks
Hi Brian
I’ve got no issues with it. I’ve had 10 hours riding day with it and no uncomfortable pressure on the temples.
Is it the 1-st geenration of commander?
That’s the first generation.

Nice! 22.500km, gives me hope I still have a lot left on this helmet.
I must say that I’m very tempted to try the commander 2.
@@RoiaMoto mechanics are still great, so nonreason to change.... ✌️😎
