The suffix of that statement could have been easily replaced with "when a Jojo character encounters a new enemy."
I'm sure some of his opponents was saying that as well when he was demolishing them in smash tournaments.
Also applies to people who have already watched several parts of Jojo, Araki is like a damn kinder egg.
This game is such a massive improvement from the vanilla version. A stable 60fps up from a 30fps with tons of frame drops, new mechanics with the addition of assists, larger roster. I just wish the netcode wasn't delay based, I hope this game does well enough from a competitive stand point to justify a rollback update

I didn’t think the graphics for Jojo‘s bizarre venture were amazing and voice acting of course amazing I love Japanese finding games the one thing I disagree with this game was the dodging how they made it like a 3-D fighter where you could dodge into the background to avoid projects and stuff if they would’ve just left as a tutti fighter I say this is one of the best fighting games on the PlayStation three the graphics are amazing I really didn’t induld too much in it but the graphics were incredible I must say I don’t think enough people gave this game of chance it was very good

"If I heal you then it's not cheating" has to be one of the funniest things I seen in a fighting game.
Of course Pet Shop is OP.

@@drinknukacola5315 The original JoJo fighting game, the one made by Capcom based on part 3, had Pet Shop in it. Pet Shop was so notoriously overpowered that he became the first non-bonus character banned in fighting game tournaments, and yeah, they basically had to invent tier lists to describe just how much stronger Pet Shop was than everything else in the game.
The part 3 characters they added in All-Star Battle R (both Pet Shop and Mariah) are basically there with remakes of their Capcom fighting game movesets. Fortunately, Pet Shop's small-hitbox zoner traits don't translate quite as well to succeeding at a 3D fighter.

Josuke’s super is still one of my favorites in any fighting game. Healing you to full, just to KO you with one big punch. Such a satisfying pop.
Only thing missing from this game next to proper online is a good tutorial mode.
I feel like I don't know how to use half the mechanics. :D

100% agree. I fully expected a walkthrough of mechaincs.
It's actually pretty simple. The two 'main' mechanics for doing big combos is Flash Cancel and Stand Rush. Flash Cancel is basically Guilty Gear's Roman Cancel and used in exactly that manner. Stand Rush is similar, but can be only done during certain moves, the move list will tell you which ones... It lets you DEACTIVATE the Stand while in the middle of a move, but the Stand will finish the move before it disappears, however you can re-position yourself while the Stand is finishing the move.
That 'side swish' dodge that Justin keeps fluking is 'Stylish Dodge' which is basically Just Defend ie block at the very last second. Non Stand characters have EX moves instead as combo extenders, same as Street Fighter EX moves. Mounted characters (horseback) are treated as Stand characters. That's pretty much it.

What's missing is the Dual Heat Attacks from EoH. the new game has assists. Why not add in the DHA's for specific pairs?

This isnt just a re release they changed some of the inputs and balanced things it's faster it's dope 👏🏿🔥🔥🔥 definitely 👌 surprised me how I had to figure out new combos because my old ones no longer work lol

I remember the original version of this game had some performance issues, so the new updated version makes it feel SOOOOOO much better.
I have played this game for several hours and over half of that time has been spent in training mode because I really liked Johnny's act mechanic and how he has 4 movesets.

The movement thing that happened when you block is like stylish dodge, it's happened when you perfectly timed a block
As someone who never played a jojo game would people recommend this game because it looks fun
If you like broken 80s capcom, then HFTF is better, otherwise this is definitely the better option, just know that Both games are filled with hella spoilers
It is very good and recommended, but it's also very recommended to play the Jojo game made by Capcom for the cps3 (the same system that runs SF3 and Red Earth). It's on fightcade. The gameplay mechanics are more solid and tight. But this new game have many other qualities too.

That only happens with minor anime fighting games. Companies with more famous games know they can afford to use the small base roster model.

2- Having new characters/content showing up in a game somewhat regularly after its release is a great way to keep interest in that game for years, rather than have the game basically "dead" a couple of months after its release.

90% of fighting game players will never master the whole roster anyway. Justin only plays Sakura in Alpha 3... he has a gazillion other characters to master.
It's like when I was a kid and I wanted a new game, my gran would say, "But you already have a game. Why do you need another one?"

I feel bad for all the people saying the online is unplayable for them. I 100 percent agree the game needs rollback but in its current state I've played 50 matches with multiple people have not experienced any lag whatsoever. It's bizarre to see. I hope if they add rollback the problems will stop for people and I'm blessed to be having no issues. On ps5 btw
@Butler's Ghost I hate to hear that. What platform are you on. I want to see if this effects certain platforms more than others. I've been hearing a lot of people on pc having issues.
That’s cracked cause even wired with full bars I can still tell there’s some decent delay compared to offline. Doing combos with stricter input timings is hella rough in this netcode

I remember playing the demo of this on PS3 a while ago, I thought it was ok but I wasn't into buying it at the time. Justin's playthrough got me hyped to get this on Steam though!

If I liked the vanilla version of this masterpiece of a fighting game, then I'm damn sure gonna love this incarnation right here! I said it before and I'll say it again, the combos are downright insane! And there's so many characters to choose! I swear, when I find this game at my arcade, it's gonna be so hard to put that controller down once I start playing this version. I can't wait!😁😁😁

This game deserved a fix on its mechanics because the presentation its just perfect. I played the shit out of this on my PS3 but just for show because the ganeplay was stiff and simplified.
Im so happy they ajusted this, the game deserves a lot of our attention

2:38 i don't know the input on other controllers but on xbox you can press the 2 square button when your opponent is knocked onto the ground to do a taunt it drains one bar of their meter and can be done once per match
Also 3:28 it takes half a bar to switch between user and stand mode mid combo however switching while not in a combo is free
1:36 to do the stylish doge you have to block at the perfect time. Im not a big fan of the macanic because alot of the time it feels random and you do it accendetly a lot. It also has no downside because if you time it wrong you still just normally block the attack so there's no reason not to go for it every time.
