As someone who plays this game on the laptop I had an issue with my game being slow because of a launch issue with the graphics drivers. Basically if you changed the graphics settings at all (i.e. change from high to medium or change the resolution) the game will switch preferred graphics drivers to integrated graphics instead of the nvidia graphics card. When I played with friends this slowdown would be for them and not just me so I assume that's what the person you were fighting was going through.
I’m coming from DBFZ and Mortal Kombat, so the movement of this game can feel pretty jarring. It’s definitely something I’ve got to try and get my head around.
If this has rollback, i think it has the potential to be a good fgc game but why the hell does cc2 insist on terrible delay-based netcode? There is interest in the game but anyone who tries online would get dissuaded in a couple of matches. That said, with how big the roster is, i think jojo fans would have a ton of fun just mixing and matching teams to fight with even against cpu
the online is fine and literally fighterz was one of the biggest fight games in the world and it took 4 years for them to add rollback so something similar can happen with this game they can add rollback later in the future like they did with fighterz
They beefed up the game considerberely, however since its basically just all the content from the first iteration in a new shiny package I guess I'd still wait for a sale.
My one gripe so far is that the tutorial is pretty bad. It just gives you a wall of text to read and tells you to fight. FighterZ is another game I’m pretty bad at but the tutorial is pretty good and very fleshed out so I can at least spend my time learning if I want to, but with this game, I’m on my own with learning combos.
I don't know mabey I have just gotten sick of anime fighters cuz honestly I would have never give this game the time of day if it didn't have jojo on the cover

This is not the first game to have the whole cast play different tf is so common now💀 kof, blazblue, marvel, tekken etc idk why u think it hasn't been done before
The online has been getting worse by the day. The first day when nobody was one. More specifically the two days before official launch I had a blast in private matches with my friend but once the game released there was basically connection drops in or after every single match. Roster is great. The game runs great on series x. The solo modes need an update and the story mode would’ve been nice if it was more like ultimate ninja storm or demon slayer ….
Tl;dr: its good for single player and offline with friends, but the online itself is terrible and stuck in 2013 so it's not worth your time investment, guess developers really be spending their money and soul to revive this game but avoid online as much as possible which is the main point of this kind of game, or to take any kind of feedback that actually mattered, sasuga japan as always.
I have zero problems with online. Playing with friends or randoms. No lag what so ever. And I play on wifi I really don't understand it's the same with the demon slayer game. I rarely ever have any lag online
@@imacreep7950 I’ve seen a few people say they had no lag online but I find that very hard to believe considering the netcode is delay based. Is there a frame delay counter? That would be an easy way to tell instead of just going off of feel or visuals which can be misleading
The only thing I dislike is that pressing forward square does a different move than the neutral square and it stops your character in place...so many times me and the opponent just stand hitting air
For me I think that the problem about me and the opponent hit the air is a hitbox problem and not a variation of input. Street Fighter had this variationa and works well
Enjoying the game so far. Got some friends who like it too who live close to online with them has been smooth for me. And i'm running a gtx 1650 with an i5-114004 cpu and am playing in 4k and it runs so well.
It's a shame that it got such a low rank despite getting so much praise throughout the video, but I get it, bad online can ruin a game's longevity. It's like me with FighterZ, I'd love to get back into it but the netcode is unreliable, and there's not much point in playing single player anymore. Still, I have to admit I'm still tempted to get this game.
I know it was announced recently but I didn't think it'd get added so soon. I also heard that it's only for newer Gen systems so that's true, I'm still SOL since I'm on PS4
I dunno if I’m on the minority of this game has decent netcode only experienced lag once in my 20 matches of ranked and it was very minimal im already a disbeliever of wifi=bad in fighting games, I play off with wifi have 0 issues with everyone I play with on any fighter but this games online is just fine but obviously everyone’s experiences are different so I won’t criticize the review at all Globku did a great job on the video this is just my take
Haven’t watched the review yet but I’m surprised how much fun I’ve been having with gappy offline. I struggled to get in an online game though because the queue was slow at the time.
I believe the gameplay went from 30 to 60fps from the old ps3 version i got. I will say from my old experience you'll fighting the same way linking your combo from L,M,H into special or super with the whole cast. no one played different. You'll just see different stuff. $30 or less on sale is recommend it. Especially when Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is a thing. Eyes of Heaven should be next
Thank you for making this video!! You made this video have so much information about the game(also I picked this one because it has the most views) have a nice day :)
I am not used to these super crazy combo games, but what can I say its JOJO. The fan boy in me is liking it.Some bosses in adventure mode can be absolute A-holes, but evetualy they all fall the might of the dedication in me!
Online has been smooth as butter on PS5. I can't believe a CyberConnect game with delay based netcode actually plays well. Seems like as long as you're within region, matches are good. They seriously need to add spectating/lobbies.
I know this is pure nit-picking, but it bothers me that the characters that weren't in the original ASB have drawn thumbnails instead of scans of their 3D models like the rest. It looks really out of place to me.
hopefully they switch to rollback netcode in a future patch the game is still pretty early in release so there's still a chance to fix everything and add content as well. Personally I enjoy the game, eventhough right now I'm only playing the demo version, however I do plan on buying the full version soon.
Unfortunately, you can't simply 'switch' to rollback. The best rollback netcode is in fighting games that were designed with it from the ground-up. It would be a huge investment of resources the publisher doesn't have or isn't willing to commit if sales are not strong enough. One can only hope rollback will be added.
The netcode ruins the entire experience for me. All my games run perfectly normal yet when I play ranked it lags, and then when I play casual it's perfectly fine 💀 they need to fix their shit
Gonna wait on that fan patch that changes the translation but I'll grab it for when the friends are over or don't give a shit about the netcode and play online.
I mostly only buy fighting games for the single player/arcade mode. I am aware that i am in the minority here, and i'm also a big jojo fan and love the fanservice, but I gotta disagree on the single player part. There is a lot of it compared to other fighting games, the arcade alone has two modes. The story has a lot to do aswell, albeit that you don't like it, which is fair enough since it's your review! But as someone who loves jojo and loves playing fighting games on my own and practicing combos, this fighting system + characters would be an easy B rank at least
Funny you say it's a terrible game for JoJo fans who want a single player game because it's the way I play it and I love it. I already enjoyed the game on PS3 but the new All Star Battle mode adds much more solo content.
i'm worried because cc2, but would've been nice if they change with patches someting like the evasion, pressing forward instead of back for more risk. expecting a rollback future implement like possibly fighterz developers said it's nearly impossible
Yo can someone help me out rq i dont under stand how the Z motion intup works. Is there a way to make it so that you dont have to do the motions and just press the D pad in a certain order. Thanks
I’ve had two gripes with it so far, One,it seems to me (maybe I’m just really bad) players who are mashing with the auto combo have an advantage for now because I’d block a string go for a counter attack and they’d mash immediately and somehow they’d be plus and beat me out. 2nd gripe and it’s kinda of small in the grand scheme of things but how the hell do you switch the character you’re using for Ranked? Is it in the menu where we’re waiting for someone to join the lobby?
@@dekucake4395 No not the player card that has a voice line attached to it, I’m talking about the actual character selection, the 1st ranked match I did it told me to select a team so I went Diego on point and Dio(part1) for support, I wanted to mess around with Pucci in ranked but I have no idea how to switch my rank team. Player match is simple because it takes you to the character select screen so I’m just wandering if it’s a bug that is affecting ranked.
I agree with everything you said, EXCPET the fanservice part. It is terrible in comparison to Eyes of Heaven because they're barely any NEW interactions from what i've seen playing All Star Battle original on ps3. ontop of that, not having the costume selection that we had on Eyes of Heaven is another miss for this game. I'm disappointed, but not surprised I knew what i was getting myself into. Also on ps4 you cant even shareplay the game.

I love Jojo and I love games with big rosters but I think I'll wait for a sale since I don't have a huge competitive fighting game mindset
Sale is now in xbox
Never played this game, got it yesterday
I could really use some mechanics breakdown, I haven't touched it yet.
He did break it down
Would you make a "How to make combos" type of video for this game? I've played the demo but the best longest combo i could make is X Y B into Ora Ora into Oraaa.
Your One's Justice 2 combo video was a game changer for me at the time, the way you're explaining things makes easy to learn them. Love your content, never change Globku!
Cancel the combos with L2 or R1. L2 is a 1 bar cancel and R1 pulls out your Stand character.
Assists will extend combos too.
@@ComboDamageTV Assuming he's using a Stand Type character.
Honestly I'd mostly be maining Jonathan since he's my favourite JoJo and Stand Users might be a bit too much for my brain to keep track of (otherwise I'd probably also pick up Jolyne who's my other favourites JoJo) so that input would probably end the combo cause hold on a sec lemme breath real quick.
@@ultimatepunster5850 this is my first JoJo game and Jolyne is who I went with. Definitely gonna pick up a few others. I played it a bit years back on emulator but couldn't get into it. Now I'm feeling it more, especially with assists for combo escape.
God this game is so fun! I'm only playing the Demo but I'm already addicted!! I gotta practice my shoryouken Inputs tho
Idk the online is ok, iv had some matches run pretty good.
Bc bandai won't give them money
@@GrimmtokiAMV apparently Bandai asked them multiple times to add rollback but they said no, doesn’t seem to be on Bandai here
@@Flow_425 that wasn't bandai, that was the admin team for the jojo page
the online is fine and literally fighterz was one of the biggest fight games in the world and it took 4 years for them to add rollback so something similar can happen with this game they can add rollback later in the future like they did with fighterz
U was just watching the early Access video and my god u answered my prayers with the end screen
I'm happy for the people excited for this game but man anime games are in a very dry state if they need to re release older games.
It's basically a sequel though? It's very different from ASB.
The original being on a PS3 makes this worth it, as I never got to play it! Same with many other ppl
I don't know mabey I have just gotten sick of anime fighters cuz honestly I would have never give this game the time of day if it didn't have jojo on the cover
@@Wavpro this shit ain't no sequel bro 💀
@@lightsprite6128 it's not really marketed as one but it really is. It's a development of ASB, with a lot of new things. That is a sequel.
On pc my Xbox controller doesn’t work properly because the LT and RT doesn’t work so I can’t call assists and in the lobby and controls menu it doesn’t say A B X Y for the buttons it just says 1234-12
We need team battle to allows 6 friends to play together
Was wondering if I was going to buy the game since I love JoJo and have been hungry for a new game. You convinced me to go for it. Thanks!
Ps. Portugal crlh! 🇵🇹
É so uma pena que vc foi se decidir de comprar depois do lançamento. Perdeu a roupa alternativa da Jolyne de bonus de pre-venda.

Hopefully when sales are good they'll bump it up to roll back netcode
Why is Cyberconnect just plain allergic to rollback?
This is not the first game to have the whole cast play different tf is so common now💀 kof, blazblue, marvel, tekken etc idk why u think it hasn't been done before
Cool I didn't know they had a kof game mode
dam they should put that in the online
He literally said it's terrible for single player 😂
The online is indeed garbage. No rollback in 2022 is already outdated
@@imacreep7950 Demon Slayer has the longest input delay ever.
@@imacreep7950 I’ve seen a few people say they had no lag online but I find that very hard to believe considering the netcode is delay based. Is there a frame delay counter? That would be an easy way to tell instead of just going off of feel or visuals which can be misleading
I was about to say "isn't fighterz cc2?" But no it's mainly arcsys
I'm enjoying learning the game. Last fighting game I played was on SNES so this is kinda wild. I really wanted to play a JoJo game again too.
Oh soo cool! I've never won anything before. A++++
The arcade Mode Sound like xenoverse 2 parallel quests.
can you also review the characters?
I want to know your opinion on them
I'd wish a naruto and bleach like this in a 3d environment but you can't run away
The only thing I dislike is that pressing forward square does a different move than the neutral square and it stops your character in place...so many times me and the opponent just stand hitting air
For me I think that the problem about me and the opponent hit the air is a hitbox problem and not a variation of input. Street Fighter had this variationa and works well
ikr i hate that
Enjoying the game so far.
Good sir, Fighterz recently got Rollback netcode added!
I know it was announced recently but I didn't think it'd get added so soon. I also heard that it's only for newer Gen systems so that's true, I'm still SOL since I'm on PS4
@@Entei9000 Oh, didn't know that
I'm at the point where if there isn't rollback I just don't bother. Tends to be a good call most of the time
My issue is I'm completely new to the game and go into casual online and I just get infinitely air juggled by kira.
I dunno if I’m on the minority of this game has decent netcode only experienced lag once in my 20 matches of ranked and it was very minimal im already a disbeliever of wifi=bad in fighting games, I play off with wifi have 0 issues with everyone I play with on any fighter but this games online is just fine but obviously everyone’s experiences are different so I won’t criticize the review at all Globku did a great job on the video this is just my take
That’s the thing no matter how bad online may be those little moments where the impossible happens just gives you such a. Boost
Haven’t watched the review yet but I’m surprised how much fun I’ve been having with gappy offline. I struggled to get in an online game though because the queue was slow at the time.
How so? Nobody online already?
@@qxpn9220 Got in online and found it pretty fun
I believe the gameplay went from 30 to 60fps from the old ps3 version i got. I will say from my old experience you'll fighting the same way linking your combo from L,M,H into special or super with the whole cast. no one played different. You'll just see different stuff. $30 or less on sale is recommend it. Especially when Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is a thing. Eyes of Heaven should be next
Thank you for making this video!! You made this video have so much information about the game(also I picked this one because it has the most views) have a nice day :)
It’s funny because the connection for me so far has been great. Sucks that you haven’t had the same experience
Wow, CC2 actually making a more decent training mode rather than just reusing the same one over and over like in Storm.
You ranked this lower than demon slayer?? Im appalled
I am not used to these super crazy combo games, but what can I say its JOJO. The fan boy in me is liking it.Some bosses in adventure mode can be absolute A-holes, but evetualy they all fall the might of the dedication in me!
I will never financially recover from the decision im about to make
Online has been smooth as butter on PS5. I can't believe a CyberConnect game with delay based netcode actually plays well. Seems like as long as you're within region, matches are good.
They seriously need to add spectating/lobbies.
This game is wayyyy underrated. Goated JoJo gameplay.
I know this is pure nit-picking, but it bothers me that the characters that weren't in the original ASB have drawn thumbnails instead of scans of their 3D models like the rest. It looks really out of place to me.
The moment i installed this game I launched a match and used Jolyne just to see if they fixed her "translation" on her HHA. They did
hopefully they switch to rollback netcode in a future patch
the game is still pretty early in release so there's still a chance to fix everything and add content as well.
@@lycanthropic1122 Damn that sucks. Why is delay based net code still a thing 😢
will there ever be risotto nero? what i hate about all jojo games is that they always forget my favourite character.
i wish we got a dub
7:21 ay yoooo!
*Adds to watchlist and waits for the complete package to fall under £50*
The netcode ruins the entire experience for me.
All my games run perfectly normal yet when I play ranked it lags, and then when I play casual it's perfectly fine 💀 they need to fix their shit
Man dumb question but how do you esidisi move "I can't take it anymore" I seriously can't figure it out
Not the biggest fan of Jojos but this looks fun, prolly just gonna go back to demon slayer rho
Demon Slayer got that terrible online delay. I'd rather play it too though tbh.
Man i just wish they'd one day release an anime fighter that's playable online somewhere other than the isle of japan
Gonna wait on that fan patch that changes the translation but I'll grab it for when the friends are over or don't give a shit about the netcode and play online.
On sale for $24.99 in PlayStation now I'll get it
I mostly only buy fighting games for the single player/arcade mode.
Well, if I go online, I guess Imma use Okuyasu and mash autocombos lmao. If I remember right, his did unreasonable damage on the PS3.
Funny you say it's a terrible game for JoJo fans who want a single player game because it's the way I play it and I love it. I already enjoyed the game on PS3 but the new All Star Battle mode adds much more solo content.
I personally have only had one time where the NetCode was bad and it sorted it self out pretty quick,
Even though I haven't played a fighting game online since Injustice 2, I'm tempted to get this.
i can't believe that they actually buffed the stylish dodge
i'm worried because cc2, but would've been nice if they change with patches someting like the evasion, pressing forward instead of back for more risk. expecting a rollback future implement like possibly fighterz developers said it's nearly impossible
Would be pretty funny if moody blue was the record option in training mode
Yo can someone help me out rq i dont under stand how the Z motion intup works. Is there a way to make it so that you dont have to do the motions and just press the D pad in a certain order. Thanks
1:23 BAO IS IN!!!’ LETS GOOOOOOOO I HAVE A REASON TO GET THE GAME NOW
I’ve had two gripes with it so far, One,it seems to me (maybe I’m just really bad) players who are mashing with the auto combo have an advantage for now because I’d block a string go for a counter attack and they’d mash immediately and somehow they’d be plus and beat me out. 2nd gripe and it’s kinda of small in the grand scheme of things but how the hell do you switch the character you’re using for Ranked? Is it in the menu where we’re waiting for someone to join the lobby?
are you talking about the player card? It's in the "Customize" section
While selecting ranked mode, in The bottom appears “press square/X to change character”
@@lorislomasto1046 I’ll check it later but thank you for pointing it out to me.
click ranked, and then read the buttons on the bottom, allows you to change your "Main"
I would have loved an Arcade Mode boss and proper endings maybe
1. Content should never be locked behind online mode.
2. Good netcode does not a good fighting game make.
Can you do an input tutorial for fighting games? I wanna get into this game, but the inputs look scary
Why are there still fighting games being published without rollback netcode? Why are we still using delayed-based netcode? 😢
Its so sad that this game is unplayable online and not popular at all😢
Super Fun game, unplayable online. Always laggy and "transmitting 9/10 games"
