It feels so surreal to look up from your hands and see your face but nice!! Like meeting an online friend irl for the first time after years of online correspondence. I'm glad you're still sharing your tasty home cooking adventures with us.
I've said it before, I'll say it again. I absolutely love that Imamu censors everyone who doesn't consent to being in her videos! It's so refreshing to see after so many other content creators show how little they care about the people they film around. All the food looks amazing as always, thanks for sharing it with us!
It’s a big thing in Japan, I guess it’s because of popular tourism? When I visit there, the tour guide politely told us not to film or take photos of Japanese people on the streets. The reason was of course common sense
@@leileiwin8569 Privacy is also just more important there, I think, as is being polite, and frankly, it's extremely rude to film people without heir consent.
kinda common in some asian vloggers, they tend to censor things that can potentially reveal their face/identity. some of us are just not confident enough to show our face. well, some vloggers try not to have their cameras facing others as well.
I started watching your videos when your daughter was still a toddler, it still shocks me to hear her speaks so fluently and in two languages too! Children really grow up so fast
I realized it's been years since I first watched you Imamu 😭😭 when I first watched you your daughter is still a toddler, now she does cartwheels 😭😭 how the time goes 😭😭
I haven’t tuned in for a long time due to school stress but the gasp I let out when mini imamu was jumping about she’s so biggggg and these videos make me feel cozy like Im watching my mother cook I hope I can watch imamu cook long after I graduate uni
I love that Imamu seems to have a healthy relationship with food. I have heard Japan can be very difficult with food and put stress on girls and women to always diet and be skinny, but Imamu doesn't think about that. She makes healthy, filling meals for her family and allows herself sweet snacks without guilt. Very admirable! I am glad she is teaching her daughter about food this way.
The way I RAN when I got the notification ❤ Thankyou for making my day so much better with this homey video ❤ glad to see your and your family are doing well xxx
Yes! The man on the packaging of the seaweed is Paik Jon Won. He is a judge on Culinary Wars on Netflix. He is basically the number 1 recognized TV chef in Korea. He actually has no culinary experience, but he was still able to make it as a TV chef because of his known palate. Happy to see more international people getting to know him.
I love that you show yourself doing imperfect things, like getting the pastry unstuck, and using your hand to spread the egg yolk. It makes me feel like I can make your recipes too!
Aaaahhhhh!!! Literally yelled “YAY!” Outloud when I got the notification for this video! Love your videos so much so happy to see another video from you! You give me so much inspiration for my own meals!❤🎉
Tahini is a middle east sauce, I am from Turkey and we use it a lot. We also eat it on breakfast mixed with grape molasses which is simply boiled and reduced grape juice and it is so tasty. There is roasted versions of tahini in Turkey too. I love tahini it is so delicious.
15:29 is not a suggestion if Kiwi & yogurt or any dairies mix together. Cause kiwi are rich in vitamin c and dailies are rich of protein. If mix together will effect absorption in our digest system, also may cause diarrhea / stomachache.
I'm so happy you're more comfortable with showing us your face in more videos!! I always get so excited when you upload a new video! Thank you for all your effort and hard work!!! 🥰
Imamu-chan, I always get so excited when you share your videos. I am german and grew up in Germany with a japanese best friend. Her mum used to make amazing food, I fell in love with japanese food then. Your videos have taught me so much, I made several of your recipes and they are always delicious. Thank you for helping this german be adventurous with food 👩🍳
Omg when you picked out the NaNa manga! So many memories! Nana is like one of my most favorite mangas ever completely heart breaking but I love it! Thanks for another video loved it!
I really enjoyed today's video! I'm Indian and it's fun to see Indian fusion food. When you showed CardCaptor Sakura and NANA I was reminded of reading manga when I was younger - lots of good memories :) The man on the package of seaweed looks like Chef Baek Jong Won, I think. Thank you for sharing your cooking and your days with us!
I always love watching these videos. I’m autistic and they are very soothing! My toddler and I will sneak and watch them early in the morning while his dad is sleeping lol. Always my go to when I’m feeling overstimulated 💖
Hello, huge silent supporter since 2022...I'm currently writing my exams and the workload has been a lot on me..I just opened my UA-cam and saw you posted a video!!! Thank youu sm, your videos bring me a sense of calm and peace. Thank youu so much Imamu❤
I love that we can see your daughter grow in some way, like I remember when she was a toddler (I think) and now shes fully talking and going to school and doing so much more
I'm so glad you've gotten more comfortable with your channel to show ur face T-T you're so pretty!! and i love the meals you make are so balanced and creative
It was so lovely to see your face Imamu! Thank you for being comfortable enough to do that! I've loved seeing your content creation abilities grow over these last 4 years! Your videos were such a comfort to me during Covid, and they still are. I can't wait to see where they go from here!
Your videos are always such a cozy treat, a very nice vibe to enjoy and relax. Thank you very much for sharing your meal ideas and process with us! I always enjoy them.
It doesn't work every time, and it will still splatter onto your stovetop, but you can get your bacon to stop spitting at you by turning the heat down! I love thick-cut, crispy bacon (it gets really crunchy if you do it right! Not the right texture for a Japanese-style soup, though!) and because I keep the heat down, it barely spits at me! Spitting is caused by the water in the bacon reacting with the hot oil, so if there's less heat, you get a less violent reaction. I love your work! Your food and adventures feel so normal and grounded. I've gotten a lot of meal ideas from watching your videos!
When I started cooking I was always having trouble with meat like bacon , got burned many times, after a couple years I started cooking it on high to render the fat a bit then put it on low until crisp, almost never get spit at now and have a bunch of fat to filter and use for later cook :)
I would really like to say that your videos inspire me to cook. I'm happy that you're able to show us how much you enjoy your trips outside which I think you don't get to do much when your daughter is little. Looking forward to more videos. :)
It has been years, but your videos still inspire me everyday. Everytime I struggle to have a better relationship with food, you are always the model I refer to. Thank you so much for your videos
The first video I watched from you was the Sukiyaki. Then there was a time I religiously watched your husbentos and I still love rewatching your videos. They are very homey and even the stuff I know I don't like (I'm not big on seafood) looks absolutely delicious. You have such a wonderful way of cooking and filming, I don't think I know any other UA-camr who has such nice, affirming and relaxed editing. Thank you for being you and sharing this part of your life with us in such a good-natured, heart-balmy way ❤
Since I started watching your channel a few years ago your English has gotten so good and natural. "The bus is taking ages to get here." "Catch you later!" You sound like a real Canadian these days. Maybe because you have your husband to teach you about "fish" and "fishes".
I love your channel, it is so cozy and comforting to watch and I get cooking inspiration even though I usually cook from a very different food culture (Sweden) Thank you for your wholesome videos!
Thank you for the upload, imamu-san! I love that you always show us what’s happening in the kitchen even if it’s not perfect (like the puff pastry getting stuck or the butter knife breaking). It feels so realistic and it inspires me to try harder in the kitchen too! ❤
Every time I see your daughter I'm like EH she's so big already!! It's so nice seeing your family doing well still Imamu, thank you for the lovely video ^.^
That tan tan ramen looked sooo good! So did the tuna seaweed salad and the sweet potato soup. I always get so inspired by your videos! Thanks for sharing.
I am watching your video as I make dinner. It makes me feel less lonely and your cooking inspires me to try new ingredients and recipes, so thank you 😊
Alexa just meowing and then giving up when asked where santa claus lives is so funny! Another wonderful video, its so nice to see your face, yet see you still protecting your daughter's privacy. I remember when she was just a little toddler in the background, she's growing up!
I was so excited to see this when I got home from work. I immediately texted my sister who lives about an hour away, and she had just turned the video on too! Thank you for for such a wonder finish to my day!
Aloha Imamu! I made tuna salad today. I added pickles, black pepper, lemon juice and mayo. I love watching your creativity. So many ideas! Mahalo from Hawaii.
Seeing you make the fish bread and use your daughter's drawing as a reference is so incredibly sweet. I can feel your love for her through your cooking!
I was just thinking about how much I missed your videos yesterday! Your videos inspired me be more adventurous with my cooking and I love seeing all the new foods you make. Thank you for making my day
I always love watching your videos. You make me feel calm. And I love your interactions with your family. Reminds me of my own. ...Also, it gives me confidence to try new things in the kitchen. I have made several of your recipes and enjoy them very much! 💜
Another warm video. 😊 How lovely that you can enjoy delicious homemade meals together with your family. What a blessing, and lots of beautiful memories for you all, I'm sure. ❤
Tahini + lemon juice + honey/agave/maple syrup = one of the easiest and most delicious salad dressing I've ever had! Used to only buy tahini to make hummus. Finally found a solution for the excess.
Really love watching you cook! You really are talented and always know what to do with the ingredients in your hands. Consider the young age of your daughter, you either really love cooking or started cooking at a young age at home. Continue to show us more. Perhaps I can cook some Japanese everyday food like you one day.

Decorating the pastry to resemble your daughter's drawing was such a sweet thing to do.

I love Imamu-chan. She is just a simple wholesome woman making simple wholesome meals. Not a huge UA-cam Production company.
Alexa getting overwhelmed and just meowing was so hilarious 😂
I think it's because when Imamu's husband asked Alexa to repeat herself, it sounded a bit like "neko" so Alexa misunderstood lol.
I love that Imamu seems to have a healthy relationship with food. I have heard Japan can be very difficult with food and put stress on girls and women to always diet and be skinny, but Imamu doesn't think about that.
