I've seen that rig at the end that Hut volunteers use to bring boxes of supplies up. They have little else than that ancient pack with boxes of supplies strapped to it, a water bladder threaded through it, a t-shirt, shorts, and super lightweight hiking sneakers. When I've seen them on the trail I think that would blow out my knees and back- it's a young volunteers chore.
Yeah, that’s crazy amazing how they carry supplies up those mountains.
I once saw one of those youngsters take a stumble and dump that thing while all loaded up. It's kind of ingenious how the heavy load falls away to hopefully keep you safe in such a situation. Asked if she was ok but she was totally into it and set right off again🤘
Smiles in the morning, smiles for most on the day on cam. In spite of all. Always good to see 🙂
You have an amazing attitude!
what a day!!! 👍
That's some Alaska style weather there. I bring a fleece to hike in, and keep the puffy secure and dry on days like that. Got to have warm stuff at the end of the wet cold days!
Happy Father’s Day - Proud Dad I’m sure! Good job!
Taylor These are your Mountains. You can tell you are in you sweet spot !
Your channel was recommended to me because I have been following my cousins trip (Ranger) through the AT.
On my first thru hike, I went to a movie in I think Lincoln and after the movie I felt so bad about not hiking that I went out and did Franconia Ridge at night. I climbed Liberty around 10pm. I had no idea how pretty it was until my second thru hike in the day. It was clear that night and I could see towns in the valley's lit up. I got to the road before Webster Cliffs and just layed down and cowboy camped until about noon and then headed up Webster Cliffs. It was nice at night but I had no idea how cool until 12 years later in the day.
Franconia Ridge in the rain!? You are a Supahstahhh! That day i was on AT in NJ and it was 78 and sunny 🌞
You are absolutely stunning !! Keep up the great attitude and beautiful smile. Please be safe.
Great progress, Taylor. The end is in sight--keep it up; above all, stay safe. Best wishes.
Liberty Springs bring back bad memories. The never ending ascent just killed me. I hadn’t done many 4,000 Footers since 2017.
Wow...what a day of strength you had. Thank you for sharing
For those not familiar with that area. A lot of trails above 3500ft can be serious even in the middle of summer in the whites. The ridges in the White's including the Franconia ridge can be pretty exposed. The good news, there are a good number of trails that will allow you to bale on either side of the ridge, but do it before it gets too bad.
Congratulations on over 50k subscribers. Continued success on the trail and your store.
Taylor….Im live in Maine have traveled and backpacked all over the world….Including the Trail. I am so proud of you watching you endure. You are a credit to the human race!
Good video with lots of good views , one bad wet down climbs 😮, so let's keep on hiking 😊
The change in weather from the bottom to the top still amazes me, not because of personal experience but but lots of YT channels.
I was fortunate on my thru hike in 98 experiencing Franconia. The weather was a perfect blue sky.and very little wind.
Thanks for the video.
💥Congrats on 50K subs.💥 You hiked the ridge like a true Nahamsha veteran. The rain has been relentless in Maine too. Boy, you said it...don't wanna go into The Presies with wet gear. Rest well Taylor ✌️
I am heading to the Whites in August. Wish it is was a little sooner so that maybe I could run into you!
Raining day feeling good.
Happy Trekking. 🧘♀️👣🏕️🏔️
The elevation graphs in your video was informative. Helps visualize the terrain and the excretion needed to hike it.
*Exertion... Effort to hike.
Watching This from Florida .. it’s 103 today. When I heard you say “there maybe snow” I kinda whimpered 🫠
Ugh Garfield Ridge....water water water lol
Glad you made it thru safe! Love the croo at the huts!
Please be careful Taylor! It looks very treacherous! If I'm wet and cold, shivers and hypothermia start to set in. ❤🎉😊 Take care of your health. Stay aware of your durroundings. Be Taylor Strong, you cant go Wrong!❤🎉😊
It was super hot here in Florida yesterday so I was walking/running indoors on the treadmill and as walked I was thinking about your hike and whether I could continuously hike all day every day like you are doing. It must be so hard just to put one foot in front of another sometimes. I think I would definitely need some music or podcasts for distraction.. I appreciate your videos and the time you put into them, and especially like your can-do attitude. Glad you got a spot in the toasty warm hut and can hopefully dry out.
Nice!
I walk 4 miles on the very hot and sunny levee and think of the thru hikers too.
You are an amazing hiker! I'm sure your encouragement to others was very meaningful. That waterfall on the trail was unbelievable. I'm so happy you made it to the shelter
Taylor, that looks like some incredible terrain to hike in that nasty weather, thanks for not just putting the camera up...appreciate the video so much...I do not take it for granted...that hike is hard enough but you are filming too! Thanks
Best line : “We still got the Presys”
Our Mt. Mitchell in North Carolina can have wind and weather like that. I’m glad that over for you. 😊
WOW that waterfall downhill off the back of Lafayette reminded me of heading down to the NOC in heavy heavy rain, very steep stream waterfall trail. Glad you are safe! Keep Hiking!
That's actually down the North side of Mt. Garfield just past the side trail to Garfield shelter.
Done that stretch a few times in the summer under similar conditions and as long as you're prepared it can be quite magical.
First from MI! Enjoying my coffee while Taylor takes us thru some frigid nasty weather! High of 88* here today. Great job Taylor! Thank you for taking us along.
It looked like some rough trail time. You have great tenacity. Thanks for the great video.
I am so impressed with your toughness! Stay safe 😘
On the plus side at least there are no bugs :)
Taylor! Congratulations on 50K subscribers!!! Soooo happy for you! ❤️👍🥇🏕️🐻🐿️🦌🦃🦨🙏🏻🐰🌲🌿🏃🏼♀️
Thanks!
Love all your emojis
@@frolege1 GM George! Well, thank you I got a spice things up a little bit!!!😝
@@TaylortheNahamshaHiker Taylor if my math is correct, you’ve gained 13,000 subscribers since you started this through hike!!! 😳 Wow!
Ditto!
Again you are a rockstar … walking down the water fall !!!!
I did the presys last weekend....never again! I've never been so scared for my life.
The huts are great. I have stayed at Lakes and Carter before and that cooked meal is a game changer.
last time you went over that ridge was bad weather also!
We can see some of the mountains you mentioned today from home. So impressed with you and your achievements. Onward! 🎉
Thank you.
Raining, windstorming, waterfalling. Intense.
Going to a hut was smart. When you said everything was soaked, I was hoping you'd choose that.
At least no skeeters to get you up their on Franconia!
I did the loop May 28th for the first time and the weather was incredible perfect! This was my first time ever hiking in the White mountains and I was so impressed it literally inspired me to hike every 4,000 footer. So it's an interesting perspective to see it with the weather so poor and it makes me want to over prepare for my next hike. ✌️
Glad there was a spot for you at Galehead - that climb up South Twin(toward the end of a pretty difficult day)is daunting, but I do like the Guyot Shelter and its location. Good choice, nice going. Be well, stay safe.
Well done! OMG, that weather on the ridge, and the waterfall trail over slippery rocks. And you made it to the hut. Awesome!
Glad you did the Ridge and pushed through. 👣🌻
I always thought Taylor was PERFECT but Yankee’s pitcher German pitched a “Perfect Game” last night … 2 perfect people doing their thing perfectly.
That’s perfect! 😀
Taylor is a perfect hiker!! We will miss her after she summits...
@@deborahchadwick210 Sure will!😢
Well if it is any encouragement to you it will be a 109 heat index here in Florida today so enjoy the 20 degrees.
The weather has been awful this year. I hope the weather and the mosquitoes are not too bad in ME. Be safe Taylor🥾⛰️💕
Good work, stay safe.
Crazy weather on the Ridge, you have the experience to deal with it!
Trail turning into waterfalls wow, be safe!!
No that's a brook that they decided to call the trail since there were no trees. :)
This was the first time I recognized a spot on trail from Stella's videos. I've been trying so hard your whole trips lol
Too bad about the weather on the ridge - it's one of the most beautiful segments of the AT - June has been awful in New England
Using the visor is clever, it seems to really help you see.
(As a mom) So HAPPY to see where you ended up! 100th thumbs up :)
I’m gonna be doing the Pemi-loop in a few weeks. I appreciate this trail update. Still wondering if I should stay at Garfield tent site or Galehead…ah, decisions.
Great video, hike on, love your videos! ❤
Garfield was the place I complained the most! That waterfall descent was no fun for me! 😅 my hiking partner had to tell me to stop complaining! 😂😂😂
I like misty days on the ridge. Like a misty hobbit trail.
I heard about someone unprepared who ran into trouble up there.
No one seems to be getting a break on Franconia Ridge this year.
The weather has been yucky lately. I was hoping you would have better weather for this section.
Hi, i really enjoy watching your videos. Wish you lots of luck on trail!!!
Question: which app you used for elevation in the video?
Want to show someone what hiking is like in the NE. Show them this vid at about 6:00 timestamp! Good deal to stay at the hut Taylor.
You will have stories stored up to warm your heart in your old age.
Smart 👍👍👍
Franconia Ridge is one of the great hikes in America. Too bad for the other hikers they don't get to experience it with nice weather. Too bad for you too but I'm guessing you've done it under much nicer conditions.
Second from NYC!
I'm sure by this video. By the date, you have already summited Katahdin. ...didn't realize the video were so far behind.
They’re about 10 days behind. She’s not quite to K yet..
Rock star status! You powered right through that!!
Yeah the weather in NE has been god awful this year
How water proof is you pack, I'm thinking of getting one?
The White Mountains are no joke, be safe.
🦋
Should have brought a kayak. Would have been handy.
Good morning 😂
Well, your day on Franconia Ridge is terrifying. Here is some money for the dryer!
Haha thank you!!
A woman was murdered in the Prezies. Still unsolved. Hiking alone has its risks.
say hi to Travis/ hand me down if you see him on trail!
Too bad the old man is not their anymore. 😢
First from NJ
Gruesome!
First from Florida!
First and a Like from Taylor
@@frolege1 George now I really feel special! I think I’m gonna have a great day!!! 😝👍🙏🏻
Jelly..don't think I have ever had a like from T.😂
I’ve gotten a couple of Stella and Audrey likes!
@@robinfinehout1160 Well, aren’t you the lucky one!!! 😝👍
My daughter is 5, we live in New Brunswick, I hope she has adventures like you one day.❤
