I always thought Speilberg should have made King Kong. Harrison Ford as the Jack, Michael Keaton as Carl and Laura Linney as Ann... Wilford Brimley as the Capt.
Cool idea
Awesome
No I don't think so
I could see actors at the time to play these parts, like Alfred Molina as Carl Denham, maybe Brendan Fraser as Jack Driscoll , and either Kate Winslet or Charlize Theron as Ann Darrow. Idk those are my choices. Not the best but still fun ideas.
@@liamearly4883 Exactly!
Kong 96?
Godzilla 94?
Why can't we have Nice Things?
Go to an alternate universe
(If it only Exists)
While I do not deny the 1996 King Kong could have been absolutely amazing, finding this out doesn't make me dislike the 2005 film. I still very much enjoy it, and I don't really see it as a "shot for shot" remake like the Psycho remake, its main problem being its length and some casting. I also wonder, if this film got made would we have gotten Lord of the Rings?
I read the script, and conceptually it was remarkable, but the dialogue was pretty rough and the characters were not that likeable. With that said, if both projects could somehow coexist, this film would have probably been more beloved than the 2005 film. It's a shame Universal got gold feet (damn it, Zilla!), because it could have been a very popular and entertaining movie, worthy of King Kong.
I found Ann Darrow and Jack Driscoll likeable. Both were badass(Ann Darrow should be American instead of British though) and the 1996 script somehow makes Carl Denham and even bigger greedy a-hole than in the 1933 and 2005 films. Kind of wished the inscent pit scene would have been more graphic given how the scene was deleted from the 1933 original for being too graphic\horrific. All-in-all, the 1996 script has a Indiana Jones\The Mummy vibe to it which is interesting.
I agree with you. The 1996 version is great and one day (though highly unlikely) I would like to see it adapted into a true film, but it dosen't take away how much of a great film 2005 King Kong version is.
Well, it was the first draft. I’m sure Jackson and Walsh would be spending time with editors going over the script and give it proper polish
@@johncaulfield8935 Of that I have no doubt, every script goes through changes and revisions before filming begins. The final draft could have been truly incredible.
On one hand, its a shame that they didn’t get their big break with this reimagined and wildly adventurous version of King Kong. On the other, the possibility that it might have prevented The Lord of the Rings trilogy from happening, or falling into much less capable hands, is not so great.
I wouldn't blame the 1998 Godzilla movie, they just couldn't know there was a Kong film in production, and also, the only one we should blame for the 1996 production don't have been released is Universal, they could just choose another release date, like 1999
Wow I didn’t know about this. As much as I love the 2005 remake, I now wish we got this instead. It sounds so exciting and fresh. That’s how you can make a good remake, do something a little different but stay faithful to the source material.
Bigjackfilms review on the lord of the rings extended edition trilogy ❤😊😅😂
I find it strange why Jackson did not use his original script when he got offered again to make the movie. And re-used the animatronics and stuff they made in the pre-production. Because, i can't imagine that they destroyed all of them seeing all the work they put into it.
Because I think Peter Jackson loves CGI better than animatronics
@@scorpiusrexman1017 yeah probably
@@scorpiusrexman1017 I think because animatronics is more expensive and time consuming
This would had been such an amazing Kong film!
Nostalgia Fan agree
If I was a filmmaker, I would go to Universal and ask if I could make a king Kong remake and have Peter Jackson and his team come along as producer and crew. And of course have them do it the way they were gonna do it originally and on the ending, be very sad and emotional and have Naomi Watts do a cameo with the classic line: No, it wasn't the airplanes... It was Beauty killed the Beast kinda like how he wanted to do it with Fay Wray. Good idea, huh?
Agreed !
I LOVED the Kong/Ann relationship in the 1996 script. It was one of the best romances I've read, and I was so moved by the amount of love these two had for each other.
This would’ve been way better than the 1998 Godzilla
If the 98 Godzilla did not go through so much development hell and became that original Gryphon idea, I garentey you we would have had an awesome Godzilla and sequels hopefully and this awsome King Kong film. No matter what we get in the future no matter how great it will be, it will be the same without the wonderful practical effects and upbeat 90s style which I miss.
No doubt.
The jack driscoll character would've instantly got me interested in this movie if it had been released.
Well, I like Godzilla (1998)
If this Kong was Released, there could be a "Godzilla Vs King Kong", with 1996 Kong fighting the 1998 Godzilla
I am planning to do a reconstruction of the 1996 draft for the movie using people that closely resemble the original casting choices, hand puppets, stop motion, free to use Green Screen footage from UA-cam and Library music that fit the scenes.
Edit: After such a long time saying this, I eventually forgot about the idea as it went nowhere to be honest. But with all that said and done, I honestly doubt this project would ever be completed. After thinking about it, the reconstruction would most likely be incredibly difficult for me to do. I have a very tight budget and some of these practical effects would be very hard to make them look good. If I have to do this, then I’d have to change many parts of the film so it can fit the budget, I’m sorry I had to disappoint you all, but it’s better to say this now than never. I hope you all understand.
On the bright side however, I’m planning to make a Godzilla fan-film, and I promise to have the film not go too over budget and it will definitely be released somewhere next year...
I'm also thinking of doing reconstructions of Hammer's King Kong movie and The Legend Of King Kong.
Could we get a sneak peak?
This is very exciting.
The Original draft of Peter Jackson's King Kong sounds quite interesting to me, even though I think the 2005 version was great, but I just wondered what if Peter took some elements from the 1st draft for his film that we know today. Anyway, this has been an interesting season about the facts and reviews of the lost Kong films. ^^
Jackson did take a few elements from the 1st draft with the Brontosaurus Stampede and the T-Rex Fight.
Yes, I meant more elements besides them like having Denham as a villain or Giving Ann's a father.
BigJackFilms Fun fact before the Godzilla 98 movie there was the cancelled Steve Miner Godzilla movie.
This reminds me of the cancelled 1994 Godzilla remake we almost got until Roland Emmerich got picked as Director of the movie and this one is better then the one we got with a fateful Godzilla redesign and a better story witch the full script is online for the 1994 film
Ps Stan Winston worked on the Godzilla redesign and concept art and sculptures of the monsters and they look awesome and the other monster looks really scary to.
@@BigJackFilms can you review on the Lord of the rings trilogy and disney 2000 dinosaur
Ehh. The 05 version of Kong is still great
The 96 Kong script now has a melancholic "what could have been" quality;and it appears a growing appreciation & fanbase is now giving it the praise it's been neglected.
godzilla 1998 is just like vietnam.....we don't talk about it
But we can talk about the cartoon based off of it, right?
hey that's my hometown you were talking about
At least Godzilla 1998 isn't that bad as Yeti of the 20th century
Oh screw Yeti. The 98 Godzilla had a cool design, but it’s the stupid decisions that the filmmakers made on the monster (HE IS KILLED BY FREAKING MISSILES).
i wish if zilla (godzilla 1998) will be in the monsterverse but i want the badass one from the animated series it will be awsome
I always felt Alec Baldwin would have made a good Carl Denham I always heard him introducing Kong in the New York Theater
Wonder if Kim Basinger would have scored the opposite lead?
As Jackson says in his notes that the character should be a John Huston type, then I think James Coburn would have been perfect. He was still working in the late 90's and looked and sounded like Huston! Also, in terms of character J.K. Simmons is exactly that.
I wish they made this movie along with John Carpenter's the Creature from the Black Lagoon!
While Kong 2005 is pretty faithful to the 1933 original, I wouldn’t call it a shot-for-shot remake. New characters, different dynamics, new scenes and monsters, a very different take on Kong as a monster, and generally expanded the world established in the original film in fun ways.
Disappointing that the 1996 didn’t happen, but I still love the 2005 version.
5:21. Ok that’s bullshit. I grew up with the 2005 Kong and disagree that it’s a shot for shot remake. Sure that 1996 idea would have been amazing that film should’nt hold back how much of an amazing film the 2005 version is.
Ok now it’s 2021 and I’ve rewatched this to get Hyped for GvK.
I just want to clarify things up.
I hope I didn’t come off as an asshole, I just really really love the 2005 remake because of how important it is to my childhood and how it was essential for starting my love for everything giant monster related in general.
One day if I ever become a big film maker I would love to make a Kong if,m based off of the 96 script and make a series form there about King fighting different monsters throughout the 30’s and 50’s. Hell I would love to discuss it more with ya man!
I know that there is some form of alternate reality/dimension/universe where EVERY proposed Kong film was actually made
This version does sound more exciting. The 2005 version was great but the dinosaurs of Skull Island had no where near enough screen time.
It's always the movies that sound fantastic that bite the dust.
I agree with you why didn't they make this movie
Mr Hyde Because Roland Emmerich's so called "Godzilla film" came out the same year. I know disappointment. But at least the film actually came out, with a different but good script.
CretaceousTheHunted , true. I remember seeing the commercials and almost pissing myself with excitement. When I did see it... I almost walked out on it when Zilla made any appearances.
I found out that the reason peter jackson didnt reuse the script when he remade king kong was because he regreted it and hated it
I wished did this for the 2005 Remake of King Kong, but I loved the final version as well.☺
11:57 If you played the King Kong 2005 Gameboy Advanced game, they have Kong’s lair area illustrated to look almost exactly like this area was! I’m sure there would have been some grey/purplish color grading, littered with bones and skeletons of all kinds of creatures kind of like the boneyard in K: SI!
This sounds like it would have been awesome as fuck
after watching this review, this movie would have been a brilliant movie
with
Kate Winslet as Ann
Bruce Campbell as Jack
Robert De Niro as Carl
and all of it's action sequences, character development, Dinosaurs and Kong himself
however i'm completely fine with the Kong film that we got in 2005
Also in 1996, nobody knew who had the rights to KING KONG. The movie had been made in 1933 by RKO Radio Pictures, but that studio shut down in 1958. Janus Films had the distribution rights in 1971, Nostalgia Merchant put it out on VHS home video during the 1980s, and MGM Video put it out during the 1990s and that included a colorized version (ewwwwwww).
16:24 Very powerful storyboard. Love it.
I got a Mortal Engines ad
Did you know there was going to a Godzilla film where he fights a monster called the Gryphon? It would've been an awesome film. Godzilla 1994 is my favorite scrapped film and this is just as great as that unmade film. If Godzilla 1994 came out this film would've came out. But didn't happen. But at least Jackson's Kong film actually did come out and we got Godzilla 2014.
I'm just glad the 2014 film did well enough that we're getting a sequel. One which features the onscreen debut of Rodan, Mothra, & King Ghidorah in the Monsterverse Legendary is starting. Speaking of the Monsterverse here are a few potential movies I want to see happen: a Jet Jaguar vs Megalon film, a trilogy for Mothra, & a film set entirely on Monster Island.
Alex Lemonds I'm glad that Godzilla 2014 film well enough two. Yes it will have Mothra King Ghidorah and Rodan. We also got a new King Kong movie, which is in the same universe, which it'll lead up to Godzilla vs Kong 2020. This is how I want Godzilla vs Kong to be. Godzilla and Kong would fight but then they would team up against Biollante.
Raptor Daptor47 Yep.
Raptor Daptor47 Exactly. There would've been a Godzilla remake film (done right) in the 90s and we would've gotten this King Kong film in the 90s as well. A Godzilla film and a Kong film in the 90s would've been AMAZING!
Raptor Daptor47 Well I have no idea. But yes the Triceratops scene does look like a reference to Creation.
It's ashame that this movie was never made.
It would have been considered one of the greatest remakes of all time, along with the thing.
I definitely think an idiana jones style story woukd fit in a king kong story or even just a dinosaur adventure story in general.
Hopefully, one day, someone out there will get the sceipt green lit and release it into the public.
Still though, the 2005 remake is still pretty damn awesome.
My god that movie sounds like it would've been amazing!
KaijuPrince1968 I know right
Can someone make a fan made comic book adaptation of this script?
That be amazing.
Nice review man. The 1996 draft of King Kong would have been amazing. I like that clip of Kong chasing you at the end, where you provided him a mixture of roars from 1933, 1976, and 2005. I'm writing my own King Kong story and I've been trying to imagine roars for my monster, just for kicks. I think I would give him a mix of 1933, 1976, and 2005 roars too.
I did enjoyed the 2005 King Kong remake. But, the 1996 cancelled remake is also okay.
Yes Jack it would be good if they kept the original drafts from the 1996 remake movie of king Kong and put it in the 2005 king Kong movie that would have been really good please leave a like or a comment
.?
I almost wished this film was made. But I'm glad it wasn't. The reason is that if this film was made in the 1990s like intended then the 2005 film wouldn't have existed which means that there would never be a toy line off it which means I wouldn't have gotten an action figure of King Kong which means I wouldn't have gotten years of fun for me reanacting scenes from the film in my room. It's like Universal knew that my needs were more important then everyone else. Also the Lord of the Rings trilogy probably wouldn't have been made, and LOTR is my 4th favorite film
Perhaps also The Mummy or The Mummy Returns wouldn't have also been made, since the director of those film's clearly drew inspiration from the cancelled 1996 Kong script;personally I prefer the 1996 draft than the bloated,over-indulgent,lethargic 2005 Kong, which started out promising with the opening montage of 30's Depression era New York with Al Jolson's iconic & befitting tune "I'm Sittin' on Top Of The world";but gradually fell apart soon afterwards.Anyone who says the 1996 script isn't as good as the final filmed version in 2005 is just a Peter Jackson fanboy asskisser,LOTR trilogy is a classic,King Kong 2005 ISN'T,nor will it ever be considered one
Linda Bowen now I'm not saying I hate the 2005 film, I love it. After all the first half is really boring but the second half more then makes up for it. So yeah plus the effects look awesome.
"Fanboy asskisser"?
Real subtle. -_-
Oscar Stainton don't judge me
No, no! I wasn't referring to you! :O I was talking to that other commenter who just seemed to rag on the 2005 Kong film. I like the Jackson film, but I do admit that certain aspects of the 1996 script were better.
Imagine Jack Nicholson played Denham, while leo DiCaprio plays Jack Driscoll
I've been binging these Kong reviews.
Really well made, well researched stuff. Kudos
Yes jack the king Kong movie that we got was good but it would've been a good film if they did kept all the original drafts for the 1996 movie of king Kong.?
I would want to see George Clooney with a Clark Gable mustache as Jack Driscoll and Al Pacino as Carl Denham and Kate Winslet as Anne
It was like when Tim Burton cancelled that Superman returns the one with Nickolas cage
Tim did us all a favour.
Warner Bros cancelled it, not Burton.
Peter Jackson is a god among men.
I really like those King Kong reviews keep up the good work!
I heard online that the story would be made for years from now in 2024.
I hindsight the 1996 script with some changes would've made the remake more of it's own thing, where as the 2005 remake is much more beholden to the original, with some character changes. I do like the 2005 remake overall but the length, and plot is a bloated rehash of the original, instead of being it's own story which I think the 1996 was going for. Many elements were re-purposed like the Brontosaurus stampede, insect pit sequence, and Kong battling the 3 T-rex's still present, but would've been like Indiana Jones in tone, which would've fit the action adventure genre Kong is attributed with, instead of the romanticized fantasy epic the original was.
I still have a slight bit of hope that we can see this version of the classic story come to life, maybe as novel or as a film , i'd even let Disney create a hand dram animation of this film.
They should had just delay the movie instead of cancelling it
Is the full screenplay for the 96 version available anywhere online?
www.kokos.cz/bradkoun/movies/kingkong.txt
Wow! This script sounds amazing! As much as i love the 2005 film, this definitely would’ve taken the spot as my favorite King Kong if this movie had been made.
This would have been a fantastic movie certainly next to the 1933 classic
GREAT and detailed history, you really smashed this. What I dont understand is why Jackson didnt follow that great script you detail hear and made that over long version he eventually did?,
The stop motion Kong that was started was perfect, stop motion is right for Kong, there is a little documentary made that shows how great this was going to be. It is a tragedy
I still find the 1933 version the most un-nerving because of the stop-motion and Black and White cinematography. It's nightmarish, and is something the colour versions have never achieved.
They gave a random sailor character? I would LOVE to see this!!!
You got me back in Kong! Thank you!!!!
So BigJackFilms if you do have the chance to remake the 1996 script, what present day actors would you hire to play the characters?
Kind of already did in 2016. lol
@@BigJackFilms so if they made this film it probably would have been beaten by godzillia 1998 at the box office
If this got released it would be my 2nd favourite monster movie second two king kong vs godzilla
If we got Godzilla 94 we could have gotten this Kong movie too. F in the chat boys, F in the chat..
1000 subs congrats on that, keep up the good work
I hate the storyline from King Kong 2005 because about 90% of the first hour in the movie is boring, and slow paced. Peter Jackson and the entire production team should've used their own project that they started in 1996 to create what could've been the best King Kong movie. They should've left the original 1933 version alone, to be creative and make their own unique version in 1996. I also want many sequels to this particular 1996 version to be released which unfortunately is very unlikely to happen. This is just my opinion.
+bigjackfilmsbonus I love your king kong fan made film and I have a question if you had a bigger budget to remake kong would you do the legend of King Kong 1975 or King Kong 1996?
Where did you find the footage of Jackson's Kong puppet and him animating the cyclops?

You do bring up an interesting point too.
Why did they ditch the 1996 draft?
I'm certain Peter Jackson and team had their reasons, such as DeNiro and Clooney being unavailable or lost interest. Maybe, they just wanted to move on.
It would be amazing if in a few decades, King Kong is remade again for a new generation of people (only if it's necessary). I think it would be the perfect opportunity to use the 1996 script, and give Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh writer's credit. It would retell the original story once again, and I'm sure would give Jackson some satisfaction. Since he said he's always been disappointed that the original film that was planned didn't survive pre production. Just to show there's a cycle of inspired future filmmakers that want to keep the classic tale alive, I'm sure it would make him proud to know he started this chain of future generations of filmmakers keeping Kong and the classic story prominent in American Cinema as technology evolves just as Merian Cooper inspired him.
Bruce Campbell in a kaiju movie?! That's all I need!!!!!!
Sounds interesting.
don't forget the animated movie
Awesome script. Finally, something a little different.
What about the broadway show? And can you please talk about the april fools prank by Peter Jackson? Ya know, Son of Kong and Into the Wolf's Lair.
Once I see the Broadway Show, I'll review it. As for the April Fools prank, I don't think I'll cover it due to it being a fake out and not a real unproduced film.
A 90s Kong film with Bruce Campbell? I'm already on board!
I KNOW RIGHT? XD
I find it funny that Universal were pushing Jackson to cast Bruce Campbell over George Clooney! As if that was once a thing! That aside, I love Brucey, and another great thing of his to check out is Jack Of All Trades, where he plays a typically Campbell anti-hero in a period adventure setting. Also, the swashbuckling character he plays in the film-with-a-film in The Majestic.
It's a pity Campbell never got to do an Indiana Jones type thing, and along with Kurt Russell in Big Trouble In Little China, both are great at playing lovable ass-holes, a bit like Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones.
Here’s a question I have. Did Jackson get his model back?
Bob Gunton would’ve been the perfect Carl Denham back in the 1990s.
I definitely still enjoy the (2005) remake of King Kong, and it still is one of my favorite movies of all time growing up as a kid. But man the 96’ version sounded awesome. It definitely also would’ve been something new and fresh for the King King IP while still paying homage to the original 33’ film.
Wow, I wished this movie got made.
Also, anyone know the name of the music playing between 2:50 & 3:54 ?

@@starmaster9962 cool, thanks.
Two questions, out of curiosity.
1. How long does it usually take to edit #18 into one of your videos?
2. If a random person came-up to you, saying that he needed a hand in a low-budget film he's planning, what would you say?
1. Not too long. I have a few video files of the character in PNG's as well as a wealth full of raw audio material so its easier to ad her in a shot.
2. Depends on the project. It's usually if the project is intriguing enough. However we do wan't to plan possible distributing on other films to help those who are struggling to gain a following of there own.
I'll keep that in mind, because I do have an idea, but the most I have right now is a premise, and a starting rough-draft.
P.S. Thanx for being one of the few people to respond to any of my comments, it hurts how many don't. :(
Some of these bits is JURASSIC PARK
Mabey if universal could or wanted to they could make 1996 Kong as an animated movie.
1976 King Kong thanks this movie was cancelled, because he would be uncrowned as your favorite Kong
I agree with you. 4:54
Denham in the concept art of king kong 1996 looks like the coachman from Pinocchio
Actually Zilla is the one that appeared in Godzilla Final Wars, while this 98 one was Godzilla
So, Jack. If this did get made, would you prefer this one over the 1976 movie?
I myself read the 96 script about 2 years ago and remember being thoroughly entertained but a bit disappointed at the end. It was a lot more different and "imaginative" (I put that in quotes as that premise only works if you've seen and compare it to the 33 original, which most people will not), but I felt as if it really lacked the depth that the '05 Kong had. The mature and nuanced storytelling from the 05 is missing, and although I do love The Mummy for what it is, I still hold the 05 Kong as high above it, in all fronts. Peter Jackson I feel learned and grew so much by making LOTR, that he was able to apply that knowledge and skill to the 05 Kong, and gave us what I still hold as the best Kong film we've ever gotten, and likely will ever get, at least with that story.
I think you did a great job with this video but I feel as if all your sentiments for the 96 version and against the 05 version come from the fact that you know the 33 version very well and wanted something different. However I feel as if you were to look at both the 96 and 05 separately, within their own context (which is fair as the original was a long ass time ago and is not well known to the general public), one can see how superior the 05 version really is.
I do like the 2005 film don't get me wrong. But I just hate when good ideas are just thrown away for safer and average decisions. If anything I would love to see Universal find a way to take the unused scripts and find a way to adapt them in some sort of material. Would love to see a graphic novel of the 96 draft at least.
I totally agree with you about turning them into a graphic novel or an animated film or something! I'd love and would pay to see that!
I feel as if those decisions weren't made because they were "safe" though. Jackson had just evolved as a filmmaker and wanted to make something a lot closer to the original, a homage as opposed to a reimagining. Maybe it was because he was a bit older as opposed to in his younger years when just about anyone wants to take on the world and leave their stamp on it, I'm sure it applies to most creatives as well. And Jackson did take a lot of risks, hell making it so close to the original is essentially a huge risk as there's a large opportunity that what clicked with audiences 70 years ago won't click with them now. I recall that one of the top execs was really adamant in Jackson cutting it down to about 2 to 2 1/2 hours, but Jackson stuck to his guns, and showed the 3 hour long cut (maybe the 3:21 hour long "extended" edition? Idk), and she changed her mind and gave him the ok. So I don't think it was about safe or average decisions, just a specific route that Jackson took, because he wanted to take it, not because he felt he had to or feared not to.
Better would be at some point in the future Universal actually give the scrapped 96 script the greenlight and make it into a film;but that will never happen because it would be a second Kong remake from Peter Jackson;it's too bad Universal didn't do to Jackson's Kong project what Warner Bros did for the Exorcist prequel,Paul Schrader made an intelligently written film, but when the producers saw it they scrapped Schrader's flick and hired another director,Renny Harlin to make a more "mainstream popcorn film",I grant you were Universal able to film the 1996 Kong,it would be a FAR better, and Far more loved Kong film
So you wish that Universal had taken the project away from Jackson who wanted to make a great, nuanced film and give it to someone who just wanted to make a mainstream Popcorn flick? That might be the first time I've ever heard that...
I highly disagree with you about a modern 96 Kong film being a better and more loved Kong film. Sure the script was different from what we got but again, I felt the script was missing depth and had no real catharsis. It was a tiny bit better than Kong Skull Island which I personally did not like. It looked great, had good acting and great fights, but that was about it. It really had no story and I can't remember any of the character's names or personalities other than "tough tracker guy" or "tough military Samuel L Jackson," etc.
Jackson's film is a great one that I will defend strongly. I see its flaws (a bit too long and a few storylines are dropped kind of haphazardly, which I blame the overall Outline for as they probably couldn't find a way to make any of the sailors' stories transfer to when they get back to NYC, other than the main characters.) But what is there, is amazing. So much depth is given to all the characters and the audience grows to like and know these people. Even Carl Denham, who is villified, is still a sympathetic character which I feel conflicted about. All the performances are great, as is the aesthetic of the whole movie, the fx work deserved that vfx Oscar, the music is amazing, and overall, a great film. Sure its a bit long but I don't mind it at all.
I suppose the primary reason Jackson didn't film his 1996 screenplay had more to do with the fact that both The Mummy &The Mummy Returns had already graced theater screens,so Jackson didn't want to emulate those films when in fact it's vice versa, both Mummy flick's were inspired by,drew elements from Jackson's scrapped 96 script. What I meant by "mainstream popcorn flick" is that the 1996 Kong script is a tongue in cheek Indiana Jones-style rollercoaster ride, having Jack Driscoll as a World WAR 1 fighter pilot was an ingenious touch;at the script's climax he helps Kong in battling the Biplanes at the Empire State Building climax, the 2005's Adrien Brody playwright just didn't measure up,he and Ann had ZERO chemistry, the JImmy & Hayes subplot should have been excised from the film completely,it just added to the already overloaded runtime and was an overindulgent superfluous gratuity on Jackson's part, all in all,I wish he had filmed the 96 script,it was more satisfying and wasn't the huge the 05 film disappointment turned out to be
I think the way I think about it. I would love this movie except for one of the worst, Godzilla 1998. It sucks, but I was okay with 2005 King Kong until I figured out the plans. If this, for example, well, if we imagine it it's that movie came out in 1998, it would be the best. There would they will never there would be a 2005 King Kong. This would have been a hit movie. They will make better than Godzilla, but it's just the Zilla. But yeah, also, the UA-camr that is reading this, which you just talked about, I agree with you about why you didn't film it; if it did exist and found it, I would love It if he had to make a King Kong 2
I actually first thought That Kong Slull Island was a Sequel To the peter Jackson Film
Bigjack there's also a comic Kong of skull island

IDK, I don't like the idea of an "Evil Carl Denham" but I like everything else about this draft
Yet good things do come in time as we got the perfection that was the 2005 movie
Hey, you left out the part where Peter Jackson originally wanted Fay Wray who played Ann Darrow in the original film to have a cameo in the end as an old lady who delivers the line: "It was Beauty killed the Beast."
I know this Kong model. Did you ask the artist to do animation for you or did you borrow animation he already did for his own Kong project?
Hewy Toonmore I barrowed animation off his channel.
