I love this. I'm 26 years old about to start my path to one day become a great orthopedic surgeon . I love helping people and seeing them smile and I hope especially one day be able to help those who have lost their careers and jobs to injuries make them happy again. I'm from Greensboro, North Carolina

I'm 25 and I'm on the same journey
This was a great idea Dr. Webb. Everyone doesn't speak with the enthusiasm that you do. So we are able to relate to you in all aspects. This kept me intrigued. I wanted to know what the next task in Dr. Jude's day was. Hopefully more of your guests will be open to more personable videos like this.
Im a student nurse in the UK and ive just been allocated to an orthopaedic trauma ward, so this is a good video to watch so I know what I'm doing
As a T+O nurse, good to see some insight and I'll be showing more respect towards consultants from now on, coming across so professional and I realize you came into this job the same reason I did, good to see someone working so hard and willing to do so
Really great video!!
Interesting vid defo like to see more of these
Love this.
Its cool seeing another orthopedic surgeon vlog! 48 hours sounds intense 😮

Love from Nigeria 🇳🇬✊🏾
Now we cooking with grease. Love the British accent.
Yep nice accent
lol, thanks
Could you post an average weeks hours? I think it would be really useful to see how long your hours are on a normal week :)
I'm relocating to the UK next month finally lol 😆
I need to find a decent foot doctor that specialises in torn ligaments.
Is it normal to have proximal patellar tendinosis and patellar bursitis and a bakers cyst after having a TTT, and MPFL procedure? I am over 12months post op and also had tibial screws removed
Do you guys scrub in? (Like was your hands really good before you do the surgery)
Wt r the other courses a doctor can go through in England after passing the plab beside 5 years course like frcs. How much they r paid for diplomas like 2 or 3 years training in England?
GREAT VIDEO
thanks
no probelm
Hi Dr Jude, its really great to see ur videos, those r very inspiring. I would like to know, wat r my chances of getting in to orthopedic training at uk after mrcs, as I am currently working as consultant orthopedic surgeon at home country with 8 years of experience after 3 years of post graduation in orthopedic. Really appreciate. Thanks.
Do u study during your specialty training
I hope I can do it and become an Orthopedic Surgeon in the UK
Where did you study?
I like how there’s extra OR Tables in close proximity to the ORs
How old are you and how long did it take you to get to your position you are at right now since high school?
heyy loved you video , btw i wanted to ask u a question ... my friend he is doing post graduation in orthopedics from india and he wants to work in uk .... what is the whole process can you plz guide ?? please !!'
You drink Nescafe Original? Wow I just arrived in the UK as a Nurse from the Phils and I brought w me that Nescafe Original thinking I can't find that here, so yea Im just surprised the team has it 😅
How does being an orthopaedic surgeon affect family life?
what a beast!
Pls I want to know if running as a form of workout is proper for a bowlegged person?
Thank you
Does this mean u could end up only working 3 days a week or so
I have questions for you dr / (all doctors that read my comment) are orthopedic doctors use stethoscope? And are orthopedic doctors meat patients like other doctor or just do a surgery ?
I was like damn Antonio looks hella different 🤣🤣
Soundlink mini + case you honestly cannot go anywhere with out that quality speaker.
crucial!
You remind me of Dr. Burk from greys anatomy, but in orthopedics
Great work
How do you go about filming in hospital without getting in trouble with the management?? Did you ask their permission first?
get into trouble about what ? He literally made sure not to record any patients or their information and he also didn't disclose where he is working Babe !
@@aminataleee3345 if you live in London? You can tell which hospital he works at. The UK is a very small country. I live here.
Hello sir , from your experience ; what is better for fresh IMG to go for usmle or plab ? Is there any significant diffrence in life and training?
Thanx in advance.
USMLE anyday..salary is far better
BMW..standard ride for ever surgeon :)
Nice!
The good life of seniors lol ! At least you guys get to go home
all seniors started as juniors. Pay your dues and work ur way up mate.
I appreciate your passion, but in my imagination, this is what Hell looks like! Love the vids. Can you quantify the amount of sleep you get? Weekly? Daily on average?
I'm not a doctor, but the consequences of sleep deprivation are serious and I'm concerned about your health.
thats the hardest part about going into the medical field.
not sleeping enough for multiple of days.
Mate, medical school prepares you pretty well for sleep deprivation.
I have questions about Hip Replacements
I just ordered a vibration plate to workout. Is it safe to use this machine even though I have screws and plates in my right ankle? I had a Tri-fracture in 2012 and chose not to remove the hardware. But will these become a problem if I start using a vibration plate for 15 mins a day at perhaps a high level or the running speed?
What's on your playlist & do you play it in the OR? Great video.
I play a mix, mainly afrobeats, hip hop, etc
The bone is broken. You can tell me what to do
how much he make tho
Damn I thought it was the General/Plastic surgeons who deal with necrotising fasciitis!
Big boss
Been told I've got a full tear on my superspinatus
all the orthopedic surgeons i see are all built or huge and very carefree and calm lol. is that my future lol #5thyrmedicalstudent
Wait, so it’s 6 years med+uni, 2 years intern, then 8 MORE for residency?! 16.
Where in US it’s 4+4+5. 13.
Didn’t realize it’s 3 MORE years in the UK for ortho, despite people getting their MD two years earlier. Thanks for sharing!
Joshua McGough Pretty much but in the uk there's less money involved I becoming a doctors. Most unis in the United Kingdom, it takes 5 years to graduate so 45000 pounds in tuition fees plus living expenses. Then you're a doctor and get paid and will slowly clear up that debt. In the us there's more money involved
Honeyhir yeah, more money to get trained and higher income, you’re right.
@@joshmcgoo true
Wow, I didn’t realize it took longer to become a doctor in the EU, can someone break down the salary compared to US counterparts? I was a combat medic in the military currently 2 years out from graduating undergrad... I’ve longed to live overseas again and practice medicine over there after training here in US.
@@kerryh2096 Ill put that video together for you..
So I am 14 and I am very dumb the dumbest in the school any ways I can’t get clever 😅I have wanted to do this for 2 years now

What music do you often listen to in theatre?
Are you called Dr or Mr by the hospital staff in UK 🇬🇧????
Please answer
I'm a US medical student but I'd be shocked if physicians in the UK were not also referred to by "doctor". I can't imagine referring to a physician as Mr., would be very disrespectful.
Charles B I’m a medical student in India.... a few of my friends in the UK told me that surgeons are not called “Dr”there ...
Surgeons are called Mr in the Uk
I have questiins
What's there average salary compare to the US?
Much much less. A senior registrar like this would be earning around £70,000. A consultants starting salary is £70,000 with additional pay for on calls.
If its in the NHS, it would be about $130,000 (98,000 British pound sterling) is the max salary you can earn as a consultant. This is largely why the UK has a severe shortage of doctors, they work horrible hours and make very little money.
@@cbl6520 You can always mix it with private though. More accurate would be - 'this is why doctors are leaving the NHS.'
Hmm ST8 the UK is long...🤔
Someone tell this guy to stop driving on the wrong side of the road! 😂
10 years of training?
40 hours on call?
What is this UK?! 😂
3zizChannel 5 years Medical school, 2 years internship, then they do residency in their choice of specialty
@@khalifah4555 can you explain more?what is internship?
@Barshana Rai and what do you do after these two years of internship?
@Barshana Rai ok thanks you've been so helpful
@Barshana Rai and why the pay is sooo bad there??a coconut tree climber here makes more than a consultant there
Bro WHAT? Sweden is sooo different man really said 48 fucking hours WTF?
Hello doctor I’m from India please help...send your email ..
orthopedic surgeon with a stethoscope lol wtf
