I would genuinely watch a whole tv show about the friendship between the steps guys, these sketches were definitely the highlight of season 5. Scott is my favorite cast member in general but I think Riley is my favorite character of the 3, they're so great
This sketch is too clever. The whole thing is great! At first I thought Riley was really trying to talk to Butch, then when I realized he was calling him on purpose as a joke-too funny!
@@tinytanks Well the reference is to a 1963 movie called The Raven starring Vincent Price. And ravens, like many corvids, like... shiny things... I think Smitty was trying to come off like a hot gay goth guy, but after coming up with the name could only think of... raven-related things.

the steps guys were my favorite part of season 5 (especially the sketch where they go to the movies). I really hope they bring them back if they do another revival season

I'm still looking for the one where Scott steps out in a getup including embroidered pink Aladdin shoes, is called "fag" by Foley going by on a bicycle, goes back in to change, steps out again butched-out in leather with mirrored cop/aviator shades, and is called "fag" again by Foley going by again. And does anyone else remember having a Princess Of Phone Trickery or two in their lives around that time? Or what it's like to have a roommate throw his lavender slimline out into the hallway because you forgot to write down a message? I'm sure he hasn't forgotten, but I doubt he'd find it as funny as I do now if I called to remind him of it. It's time I took another look at those scenes in Fatal Attraction where Glenn Close's phone takes the kind of punishment no portable can. It was nice having a big heavy receiver you could slam down on its cradle to shake the floor, and bring a tingle to your hand that chimed with the bell's lingering ding from the impact.

It's called "Intimate Circumstances" and someone just uploaded it on UA-cam a few weeks ago (I'd definitely recommend watching it again, it's probably in my top 5 kids in the hall sketches)

Yeah, people in Hollywood NEVER got married and had kids, but slept with guys on the side. Rock Hudson was married a couple times too and they still insist on saying he was gay. :P Either way the counterculture loved Vincent and I doubt it mattered who he slept with. And don't get mad I'm not saying Vincent was gay. But in the long run even if he was; does it really matter? He was a brilliant film maker and actor director. Just saying that many folks in the biz used "Beards" is all.
