Pavlova represented the fall of an era in world gymnastics and even Russian gymnastics...an era of artistry and interpretation...it can be easily spotted the amount of sould she puts on her work. Long live, Anna Pavlova!
Think black on her makes look so emotional, but again does looks great her, the music makes the drama mistakes so fitting, she joyful to watch when she performs her routine
I think her best shot at medals was in 2004 but it was amazing to see her back and peaking again in time for Beijing. Too bad 2008 didn't quite go as she wanted either, but she was stellar in qualifying.
That would only have happened if her coaches had been smarter about routine construction. You can’t go to the Olympics with only barely enough SV to possibly contend- and win a gold medal. There was a lot of unused potential in her, but that was just how it ended up being unfortunately.
What a remarkable gymnast is Anna, she failed sometimes, bad luck others, but she was robbed many many times, beutiful gymnastic that don't exist anymore, love her
What really annoyed me to this day is, when they started playing 'background' music for the audience, whenever no Floor Exercise was performed. It almost hits you after this artistic routine of the great Anna Pavlova (even though she had her difficulties especially at the end), when she finished her exercise and you were still in the afterglow... the last tone not quite finished and immediately you get smacked with this 'background' disaster --- from1:35 onwards.... You couldn't even hear the audience applaud properly.... that's so sad!
Wow I'm impressed! They feel sorry for her! I would expect them to be mentioning the Russian team failing because of her or something, but of course this is just because she got fourth in 2004. She built a little bit of respect...
She robbed herself, in many ways. In AA it was bars- you can’t be really weak in an event (especially here when bars was such a critical event) and factor in. In beam- a missed element is a major deduction. On vault? Sad but huge mistake. If she was robbed it was by her OWN country who turned their back on her after this.
@@saragrant9749 Not relatively true at all, She'd always been robbed in almost everything she competed in. If you want to talk about "you can't really have a weak event" then you should consider watching your Raisman and Biles. I don't believe her own country robbed her, but okay.
@@sanasgirl her own country shunned her, forcing her to change country of allegiance to be able to continue. The coaches turned their backs on her, treated her like an outsider and wanted to part of her after these games. If you don’t believe that’s being wronged and robbed by one’s own country- I don’t know what to tell you that will actually get the message across. Biles and Raisman aren’t AS strong on bars, but aren’t TWO points behind in start value like Ana was in Beijing. That will NEVER earn an AA medal at the Olympic Games. They both also had far and away the highest start value on vault, floor and beam. Ana had routines that were, at start value level barely medal contending. As much as I’d have loved to have seen her get more medals- especially on floor and beam- there were others that were simply better in execution and start value. Her beam in Beijing WOULD have medaled if she hadn’t missed that element. The lowered value coupled with the execution error(and several other bobbles) cost her that bronze. At the Olympics you have to have the right combination of high difficulty AND execution- she didn’t. Simple as that, no further discussion. You want to believe she was robbed, go ahead- your prerogative. History knows otherwise.
It makes me cry when I see this. All because of that harsh vault sentence. Poor thing. One of the best gymnasts there.
Falls or not I love her. What a gymnast!
One of the most stunning floor routines of all time...I don't even have words it's pure art

Long live, Anna Pavlova!
And yet she said she hated the dancing… you’d never know it.
Hear Hear! 🥰
The last black swan of the krugloye lake...

Her fall is eerily in sync to the climax of the song. Gorgeous otherwise.
Wow you're right. That IS eerie!
It’s a remarkable achievement to qualify for three event finals. I’m so sad that she didn’t medal in any of them
She didn’t deserve a medal in any of the event finals so that’s why she didn’t medal in any of them.
@@nathan10120 Her beam routine was deserving of a medal, in my opinion.
@@kras118 Shr had a major error right at the beginning of her routine.
@@nathan10120 True - I didn't say it was error free
@@nathan10120 well it was smaller than several other peoples error
Even with a fall, better than most.

If Anna Pavlova was able to perform her best at the Olympics, she would have multiple international Gold Medals.
That would only have happened if her coaches had been smarter about routine construction. You can’t go to the Olympics with only barely enough SV to possibly contend- and win a gold medal. There was a lot of unused potential in her, but that was just how it ended up being unfortunately.
I bet if she had a better result on vault she would of done good here, it must of just struck her after here 0 on vault. Poor anna :'(
You could tell she was still rattled by the vault situation. Sad.
Exodus…what a music chosen for this floor routine❤
Beautiful perfomance forever! Russia Number #1

This comment makes me so happy ❤️ Anna Pavlova a masterpiece 💕❤️
I was hoping she’d get to London for one more shot. It’s such a shame they completely black balled her after and she didn’t get the chance.

Asu...
Why did she get zero on vault?
@@italomonteiro2604 did the vault with the red light on, meaning that the judges werent prepared to judge the vault
Yes she is. And her nails are fab here too.

Such a same. Sums up her career. Such amazing beautiful gymnastics and can't put a solid performance together for the life of her. What a shame....
My all time favourite floor routine graceful Artistic Shaine gymnastics has lost its gracefulness
She's unique, special and certainly, one of the best of all times! ❤️
Gorgeous leotard. Gorgeous music. Gorgeous execution. Terrible fall =*(

1:32 does that move not hurt?
Prob doesn’t feel amazing 😂
I imagine the ankles don’t care for it, ouch.
