So just wanted to say Thank you! Watching your post help correct my issue with my Envy product. I had a standing white power light and know screen. I held down the window & B keys simultaneously for about 30 seconds and the power light went out. Following I recycle the power button and the screen came right back up. Awesomeness !!!

I just bought the new HP Envy X360,2 in 1 core i7, 16GB ram, 512 gb SSD, and it’s not opening. I ordered it online from HP website brand new and it’s not opening. When I try to charge it, the orange light comes on then goes off. I pressed the power button so many times and hold the power button long enough but it’s still not responding. What could be the cause?
If you just bought it or have warranty I would return it to save yourself some time and trouble. These laptops you have to unscrew from the bottom to get any access to any other hardware besides the battery. That's what I would recommend if nothing else is helping. Best of luck!

Hi Estevan, I don't know how you figured this out but my HP ENVY x360 was completely dead. I mean it wouldn't even charge never mind power up. I kept trying to push the power button with the charger plugged in and nothing. Then I came across your video and I tried what you explained and I couldn't believe it, the orange charge light finally came on. Then I did your trick again pressing the Windows Key and B button at the same time and then pressing the power button and it did exactly what you said. It went through the entire BIOS rebooting process and bingo my laptop is working again. Like I said I don't know how you figured this one out but I wanted to take a minute to say thank you very much cause I was almost at the point of tossing this laptop or taking it to a repair shop, which I'm guessing wouldn't have been to successful and if it was I most probably would have received some ridiculous quote to repair it. Anyway thanks again brother for posting this video, it sure helped me out. PS. I watched your video again and let the ads run through in their entirety to make sure you get that extra UA-cam revenue. I know this is from 2 years ago but did u happen to have the number lock key light up and if you held the power button on it will light the caps lock button will light up then turn up and number lock lights up again , im not sure what to do can anyone help please
During this my whole keyboard's LEDs flashed on and then off.. I can't really say what it means in your situation with just the number locks.. sorry man. Hope you find a fix another way though. Good Luck 👍
Sounds like your motherboard could be bad but I would double check everything first like making sure the computer is charged and plugged in. Also make sure it is not your RAM that is bad. If everything clears out then I again would say it sounds like your motherboard. I'm not a professional though so if you want a more accurate answer I recommend taking it into one. Best of Luck!

Dude you have the exact same computer as me and also the exact same problem, I tried it it took a while but the screen turned on and once it did I took my fingers off the buttons (which you forgot to mention on your video, when to remove the fingers from the buttons (: but I removed them anyway) and now its working just fine, thanks a lot for sharing

I would see if you get external picture like through a TV or Monitor through HDMI or RGB considering if you have that available. Another thing I would recommend is trying out a different device and see if it's the cord or check your laptops battery..may need a new one.
Tried your solurion and got no response from my hp. Played with the start button again, then maybe 1, 2 minutes later, it came on and did the Bios update, then a firmware update, then finally booted up. I noticed a Windows 11 update was pending last time I let it go to sleep. Thanks for the fix.

My problem was related to a BIOS update that I didn't originate, the key combination allowed the laptop to restart, it went through about 5 restarts before finally Windows started again.

From what I remember I held it til the screen lit up and then I let it go.. sometimes it takes a few tries. Hope it helps, if not then I'm sorry

Thanks for the video, I had the same problem. But it took me a few tries before the screen worked back and the BIOS started getting updated

It won’t let me I keep doing that but where you charge the laptop all night it stayed on orange and it still won’t turn on
None of these steps works for my laptop. I can tell it’s on and functioning, but the screen is pitch black and idk what to do anymore :(
