Nice video! I remember back before the ride command was a thing and when i was even worse at making datapacks, i would figure out if an arrow hit an entity by giving the arrow a really obscure effect like luck 7 for a tick and checking if anything else had it
Hi, I have been getting into datapacks recently and your i have found your content to be awesome! I wanted to ask if we can detect the mace hitting blocks. So imagine you slam onto a slime block with a mace, that will launch you up into the air. Slam a mace into a block that has a cracked variant and it will be converted to its cracked variant. Slam it on a wool block and it will be converted to a carpet. So yeah thats my query. The mace is a weapon for entities and all so I am not sure if we can use it to target blocks or however that works. I am not sure whats possible and whats not haha
@@knecks7374 Im not that good with commands and completely trash with datapacks but I think u could summon a invisible mob above the block and when the mob gets damaged the blocks get turned into the other variant or the player gets an effect or smth like that
Hello, thank you, it's great to hear that the videos are helping people. :) This is a cool idea, a fun way to convert blocks. I'm not sure how to check what block you are hitting, or getting the location of that block. :(
@@InfernalDevice Ah yes I thought there would be problems. One alternative is to have the blocks being put into an archeology pot and then smash on the pot with the mace to do the stuff. I saw a datapack someone made that made pots explode if shot with flaming arrows if the pot had gunpowder in it. Similarly we could do if the pot has slime blocks and person smashes with mace, they get launched, if it has windcharges they get launched even higher, if it has copper rods it summons lightning, etc. Is something like this possible or can there be problems in this approach as well?
Interesting idea, they seem to be able to do a lot of cool things. :) I think you would still have the problem of the arrow disappearing when it hits a mob or player leaving you with nothing to target, but could be worth trying.
Hello, I wonder if you can make in video a datapack that combine the video 052, 053, 054 to make a fully fonctionnal pokeball because I try to make it and can t do it 😭 So if you have time, could you help me ?

I remember seeing that technique used by lots of people. It seemed to work. :)
Perfect!
Great! :)

Dziękuję :)
I used a translator. I hope I haven't made a mistake and said something really rude. :D
I wonder can this be done with a custom enchantment?
