She's as cute as a button. It looks great. For everybody judging her...it's hair people. If she wanted to cut it off she could. Trust me, being strict to the point where you don't let your kids experiment a little bit, will not serve you well. I know this from experience. Relax.
It's kind of the same concept as Catholic school girls who end up being the ones who get into trouble. You put too tight of reigns on someone - no matter the age and they will break the chain.
shes cute yes, but this video definitely does not need to be a tutorial because she didnt do a good job on the hair dye process. Cute for a little kid, but an adult with this job done would look a little ridiculous
Nice!. I have my entire hair this colour, slightly more purple, less magenta. She's rocking it! I love it when kids want these kind of things at a young age. It means they do their own thing.
You are supposed to tease her hair upwards to avoid that harsh line. You tease up, put the product in and when you wash it out and come out the tease it wont be a harsh line
I think it's cool that more parents are okay with their kids expressing themselves at an early age. :) nothing wrong with dying hair. It looked so pretty! Hair grows so it's not like she's going to have purple or damaged hair forever people -.-
I was taught if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. It still amazes me how people feel the need/urge to voice negativity on a public forum. Especially for something as simple as a hair tutorial. It's not like she's forcing her kid to do this or torturing her. From some of these comments you would think she was tattooing her face or something. Geez, it's hair. It grows. Fun colors for kids...my gosh. There are actual websites you can go to for support against child abuse. Go there instead of expressing your opinion on a youtube hair tutorial. More will be accomplished towards your cause.
I have bright pink & black hair and as an adult get the negative comments. If any of my daughters' hair were light enough to do this to then I would jump on it!! Sadly they have super dark hair so it won't work but YAY for you for encouraging individuality in your kids! We need more people to teach their children it's not only ok to be different but to celebrate it. Good on you Mommy!!!!
Very cute! 💜 I am doing this to my 10-year-old niece tonight and I was concerned about it looking like a straight across line and not blending nicely with the rest of her hair in this video has definitely helped me. Thank you and your daughter is super adorable
One tip for anyone doing this a good way to not have a harsh line is at the top when blending blend upward. Some ppl also take a comb and comb upwards as if teasing the hair to get that good blend
To do more of an ombré you can apply the color directly on the bottom of the hair & above it add some (white) conditioner to the color before applying it to that area. This will lighten the color deposit for more of a "blend to bright" look.
I can never believe how big your kids get everytime you show them. I can't believe how much taller and grown Mariah looks. They are all beautiful. God Bless Kasey :) xo
how long does it last since u didn't use the bleach? I always thought the bleach made it last longer? if I can just use the color and not use the bleach and it stays in the same time that would be great! great video! very helpful!
In order to prevent straight line between natural colour and ombre ends, to blend colour, you should tease the whole hair and then do the ends because when its done and brushed through, there will be no harsh transitioning :)
Haha so cute! My little girls would just dye if I let them color theirs like that! Came out real cute. I've seen this dye @my local grocery store but didn't know if it truly woks or not thanks for sharing this
So cute! It's so intense, I love it! My daughter would love something like this, but she has dark hair, and I don't want to bleach it. I wonder if it would still show?
I'm going to dye my brothers hair with the blue or green splat today or tomorrow since it's his lasy day of school. Are you going to cut her hair before she goes to school again in the fall? Every time I used splat I have to either bleach the color out or cut my hair cause splat is a tough dye.
My daughter wants to dye her hair with splat and i want her to express.. Her hair is like a dark chocolate brown her hair is natural and i dont want to bleach it.. How long does it last ? Ps. Your daughter looks so pretty.
Hi there..... was wondering if you had any updated information on this product now that it's been in her hair for a couple of days? I had read that the color can bleed on clothes and pillows and that it fades drastically after the first wash?
Hair grows.. you can trim it! Depositing color isn't "damaging" … bleaching and lifting the hairs natural color is what damages hair. I trim her hair often any way :)
stillGLAMORUS will I guess she is getting wat she wants lol she read ur comment and said "see mommy she says it's okay" lol she loves ur videos she loves the one we're ur daughter is doing ur makeup
Janine Zaragoza thanks that's good to know I don't want her hair to get damaged she has it so smooth nd really straight don't want her hair to look like a broom stick lol
Gaby Diaz I colour my hair with dye like this and my hair always feels really healthy and silky afterwards. Too much for me, because I like my hair to be a bit fluffy :). But it almost feels like a treatment for your hair, that gives colour at the same time.
I used the exact same product, and did the ombré thing as well. Except I made it in 3 different shades of purple. The bottom layer is the full concentrate dye, the other 2 I added any white conditioner I had to make it lighter xD I teased my hair and blended the colors light to dark. No harsh lines at all and it just blends into the hair! :) give this a try when you touch it up later on :)
It looks so cute :) reminds me of the time I had something like this, when I was younger. It`s just great to experience a bit and let your child try it
How long does that brand last? Is it permanent or is it a one month thing? Was thinking on doing something like this but didn't want the commitment lol
I have purple desire on my top section of my hair & it fades after the 3 4 wash. When you put the color in wrap it in plastic & you can leave it on for hours or overnight. The longer you leave it on the better the hold.
How old is your daughter? Mine just turned 8 and has been asking about coloring her hair. She has dark brown hair though and I don't know if color would take without having to bleach her hair
You're such an awesome mommy. Your daughter is adorable! I put chalk or colored clip ins in my daughters hair she's only 3 & wants to dye her hair. Lol
I'm getting that this summer! I got a strip of purple under the hair once so it wouldn't show (my dad took me) and when my mom found out she said that it was cute so I could get my tips done this summer if I wanted 👌😊
Awwww! She's absoloutely beautiful! My oldest is Mariah, so of course I love her name as well. ;) I used Splat when I was younger, and chose the pink, it faded to a crazy orange-ish color in combination with the bleached tips I did under it. I bet the purple will look awesome as it fades. I 'm sorry some of these comments are blooming with ignorance. I know you knew it would happen. It's not 1900 anymore. This is 2014, get over yourself people. It's HER child. She chose to do this, AND it looks good. It's no different than using the chalks or colored hair sprays. They're all temporary. I know firsthand that Splat! is semi-permanent. It will fade, but whether it does or not, does it effect your all's lives? Absolutely not. My goodness, SMH! You all should be ashamed, trying to rip away the shear joy, shining out of that babies eyes, after having some cool new hair.
My daughter is turning 11 and wants pink. I don't see the big deal with all these negative comments. Its just the tips. It can be cut off if all else fails. All these parents forgot what its like to be a tween wanting to do stuff like this. I was opposed to letting my daughter do this, but I guess I can't blame her since I'm 30 with pink/purple hair, tattoos, and piercings hahaha :) its NOT altering their look. Its fun.
also some people need to lighten up. she didn't bleach her hair so she didn't do any heave damage. let your kids live & express themselves a little. is purple ends gonna hurt anybody? NOPE! its not like she's out teaching her kids to shoplift or sneak out or something like that. her daughter is expressing herself and having some fun with it, and the fact that Kasey helped do it for her made it fun bonding time, i'm sure! that color won't be in her hair forever.
Nope! I have black & pink hair & my daughter (dark brunette) wanted to match me. We either use clip-ins cut to match her length or spray on color. Otherwise you do have to bleach then deposit & that will damage it.
Seleste Camacho Did you bleach your hair? If its really dark you have to. Shades like her daughter's hair color, lets the color show up (not as brightly but its fine),but darker hair you really can't add color in without bleaching it :/
Seleste Camacho Dye only deposits color, it doesn't lift. So, when you have dark hair, color cannot be deposited. More so, it will be deposited, but you won't see it since the dark color is dominant. Bleach lifts without depositing color. Bleaching hair only removes color, and it goes through several stages from darkest brown to lightest blonde. The stages of hair bleaching (not natural hair lightening) are black, brown, red/brown, red, red/orange, orange, yellow, then finally blonde. When using a color dye in your hair, your hair has to be bleached or naturally light. If it is not, color cannot be deposited because the follicle of hair is not open to accept color when the hair is dark (saturated with color). In order for a dye to show up properly, your hair really needs to be bleached to yellow or blonde. However, since you are going red, you won't need to bleach it so much. Red, however, is a very difficult color to do at home and can be very hard to maintain if it is not done properly. There is a lot that can go wrong with red hair (brassiness, orange, etc.), but that shouldn't stop you from trying, just make sure you are informed. :)
not ombre at all.... should have blended up a little with your fingers to reduce that harsh line.
Fat Lucy totally agree.
*shakes hand*
Fat Lucy ikr btw why 8s 7th name data Lucy I bet ur beautiful
Fat Lucy Yeah it kind of looks bad
Fat Lucy agree. Looks too harsh. Color is great though!
Yeah right
I am 40 now but when I was 12 I dyed my whole head Purple. My Mom let me express myself. I'm thankful she was like that.
Mamashalama1 ❤
Lucky
I'm 12 and mah mom is letting me get an ombre im happy :3
Welp my mom isn’t
same. I was surprised that my mom said I could dye my hair.
She's as cute as a button. It looks great. For everybody judging her...it's hair people. If she wanted to cut it off she could. Trust me, being strict to the point where you don't let your kids experiment a little bit, will not serve you well. I know this from experience. Relax.

teasing damages hair, so I wouldn't recommend that for everyone. There are other ways to get the look.
I think it's cool that more parents are okay with their kids expressing themselves at an early age. :) nothing wrong with dying hair. It looked so pretty! Hair grows so it's not like she's going to have purple or damaged hair forever people -.-
That’s not ombré, that’s a straight line 😂😂
Awwww she's adorable!
Thank you
Still GlamorUs that's wat I'm doing!!!!
Still GlamorUs that's wat I'm doing!!!!
I am just saying it not permanent it comes out and it not your kid so GET OVER IT btw love the look ...!
Preach
Sorry, you're wrong here. I'm a professional colorist. Splat is made with fabric dies that DO NOT come out. That stuff is crap.
I was taught if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. It still amazes me how people feel the need/urge to voice negativity on a public forum. She's so cute. The purple came out really good in her hair. I like the shade!
Thank you ;)
I am so happy that you are letting her express herself. It IS just hair! I love it!
Very cute! 💜 I am doing this to my 10-year-old niece tonight and I was concerned about it looking like a straight across line and not blending nicely with the rest of her hair in this video has definitely helped me. Thank you and your daughter is super adorable
Lol I like how she asked AFTER it was done. The outcome was adorable: )
That is sooo cute on her, she's beautiful. The color is awesome too very playful stillgirly and stillglamorus.
She's super cute!!!
How long the color will stay on her hair??
What a cool mom😊
My daughter did the same color last summer. It fades VERY well & to the prettiest pink, then pastel pink!
One tip for anyone doing this a good way to not have a harsh line is at the top when blending blend upward. Some ppl also take a comb and comb upwards as if teasing the hair to get that good blend
Wow that purple really fits her! My goodness shes a beauty!
This video is great!! She’s adorable!! “Is this illegal?” -Daughter
“Is what illegal? Dyeing your hair?” - Mom
“Yes” - Daughter
“No honey.”
She's too cute!!! Doesn't look ombré to me. Just looks like ends are dyed. Was hoping to do some crazy ombré on myself.
To do more of an ombré you can apply the color directly on the bottom of the hair & above it add some (white) conditioner to the color before applying it to that area. This will lighten the color deposit for more of a "blend to bright" look.
Thanks!!! Good tip I'll def use it!!
thats cute ! came out really nice !
"Is it illegal to do this?"
Believe it or not, in some states it's illegal to dye your eyebrows. Thumbs up if you didn't know that.
Only in California.
I can never believe how big your kids get everytime you show them. I can't believe how much taller and grown Mariah looks. They are all beautiful. God Bless Kasey :) xo
You are such an awesome mom! If I even ASKED my mom if I could dye my hair, she'd yell at me and take everything I love away from me lol
Lol my mom took my phone away from me at first, but she doesnt care about what color i want even though im gettinv it done tommorow
+Brooke Cookie Getting****
KingKawaii143 I ask my mom and she told me that I will damage my hair , but I will do it anyways for free lol 😂

Getting mine finally done purple on Thursday :p
Can't wait, I've been waiting so long lol 😂😂
i think its sweet that you did this for her. it looks great, and shes so cute.
Good for you for letting your daughter experiment and have fun!
i first dyed my hair in year 4 :) no big deal, I'm still a good person, looks great hope she is loving it!
how long does it last since u didn't use the bleach? I always thought the bleach made it last longer? if I can just use the color and not use the bleach and it stays in the same time that would be great! great video! very helpful!

That hair color is awesome!
Awe how old is your daughter I want to do this to my daughters hair I think she would love it how long does the color stay in?
Love love love her purple ombré. You are awesome!
Can you do an updated foundation for summer(oily skin girls)...I don't know what foundation/BB cream to buy that won't make me look so oily. 😕
So cute! It's so intense, I love it! My daughter would love something like this, but she has dark hair, and I don't want to bleach it. I wonder if it would still show?
Adorable !!! It's a gorgeous color on a beautiful girl... Love her!!!
She's going to be the coolest girl in her classes. Purple hair…this is awesome. Its 2014 people, its just hair color :)
No it’s 2021
I'm going to dye my brothers hair with the blue or green splat today or tomorrow since it's his lasy day of school. Are you going to cut her hair before she goes to school again in the fall? Every time I used splat I have to either bleach the color out or cut my hair cause splat is a tough dye.
Love the color and she looks really nice with the ombré.
Looks awesome! Maybe in a week or two can we get an update? I would love to see what color it fades to since my hair is a similar color to hers
Aww your daughter is so cute. She has grown up so much.
How fun. She loves it and looks cute.
That is so cool! Looks great on her!
awe it's been awhile since I seen Mariah, shes so pretty!!
She's going to be seriously stunning as a grown woman. She already has so much beauty at such a young age.
I used splat for my hair too. It's honestly the best colouring product I've used
My daughter wants to dye her hair with splat and i want her to express.. Her hair is like a dark chocolate brown her hair is natural and i dont want to bleach it.. How long does it last ? Ps. Your daughter looks so pretty.

She's so pretty! Looks great...
Wow the color looks good on her
it also helps to back comb to the hair to the fade line where the color starts it helps blur the line
How long did you leave the dye in? My hair is a similar colour and that looks amazing!
I love it! Ur daughter is adorable
I used splat without the bleach as the per infant one and after 2 years of washing trying to get it out and it's still there I have tryed EVERYTHING
Is this bad for little girls? ?? My daughter saw this video nd now she wants it lol want to know if it will damage her hair ....
As long as you don't bleach the hair it is not damaging. Red tones do tend to stay in the hair even after many washes.
Janine Zaragoza thanks that's good to know I don't want her hair to get damaged she has it so smooth nd really straight don't want her hair to look like a broom stick lol

Can i ask a question how old do you need to be so you could dye your hair cause i want to dye my hair
How long does that brand last? Is it permanent or is it a one month thing? Was thinking on doing something like this but didn't want the commitment lol
I dyed mine 1 year ago and its still here. Its kinda faded but not a lot
I have purple desire on my top section of my hair & it fades after the 3 4 wash. When you put the color in wrap it in plastic & you can leave it on for hours or overnight. The longer you leave it on the better the hold.
do you guys have any other brands that youve tried & enjoyed that doesnt last as long?
Manic panic doesn't last long :) only a few washes and they come in somewhat big containers :)
LOL IS THIS ILLEGAL. That was the cutest thing ever
I love her hair it's beautiful!!!!
Good job mom, she looks adorable💜
illegal Lol :) shes so cute:) it turned out awesome :)
Lol shes cute! I loved the hair :)
How old is your daughter? Mine just turned 8 and has been asking about coloring her hair. She has dark brown hair though and I don't know if color would take without having to bleach her hair
She is 9 :)
You're such an awesome mommy. Your daughter is adorable! I put chalk or colored clip ins in my daughters hair she's only 3 & wants to dye her hair. Lol
Haha.. we did the chalk a couple years ago.. it got on EVERYTHING haha!
Beautiful! Thanks for the video!
I'm getting that this summer! I got a strip of purple under the hair once so it wouldn't show (my dad took me) and when my mom found out she said that it was cute so I could get my tips done this summer if I wanted 👌😊

it looks awesome, I'm doing my bangs this color today, btw your daughter is very beautiful :3
Did the color come completely out of her natural hair??
You're a fun mommy! She's a doll, she's just like you. Maybe she'll do make tutorials someday.
Loveeee her hair!!:) I want mines like hers now:)
did you rinse it out? after 60 mins?
Looks Awesome !
My 8 year old daughter wants this sooooo bad. Thank you for the tutorial!

Thank you ;)
Is it washable??????
Please tell me it is
Tht was so cute at the end! Looks really good!!!! I wanna try now:)
looks awesome!!!!
Cute dose it come out in the pool
Is there anything I can use for dark colored hair that won't damage my daughters hair?
Nope! I have black & pink hair & my daughter (dark brunette) wanted to match me. We either use clip-ins cut to match her length or spray on color. Otherwise you do have to bleach then deposit & that will damage it.
Love this although it's not technically "ombré"
Omg u let or daughter dye her hair my mom didn't even let me till I was 12 !!! U must be a cool mom !!!
Lol at least she lets u,my mum still wont let me ^-^
Lol yeh but I have dark hair as I been trying to dye it red but it just won't show up
Seleste Camacho Did you bleach your hair? If its really dark you have to. Shades like her daughter's hair color, lets the color show up (not as brightly but its fine),but darker hair you really can't add color in without bleaching it :/

Kasey how is she so grown now?!?! :'( i searched how to dye your hair purple and this came up. And it makes me sad that time had flown by so fast :(
how long will the color stay in?
Too cute, I used to do that as a kid too :)
