I LOVE HOW YOUR NATURAL HAIR COLOR MATCHES WITHT THE LAVENDER HAIRCOLOR. I ACTUALLY WANNA ACHIEVE THAT KIND OF HAIRCOLORS ALSO WITH UR NATURAL HAIR COLOR. IT REALLY MATCHES VERY VERY WELL. SO SOFT , SO GOOD IN THE EYES
Honestly, i thought the video was quite helpful. I enjoyed watching you girls do it and put your first time doing it on UA-cam! Looks great! Keep it up!
unfortunately you will not get good strong colour like this on brown hair, so I wanted to show that if you have brown hair, an important part of the process is dying the ends blonde like I did :)
sorry guys but the only way to get hair like this if you are a brunette is to bleach the ends. I showed you how I got purple ombre from brown hair and the key step is bleaching it. Definitely not trying to "get more views", I'm just showing you how I did it :)
I LOVE how your colour came out SO MUCH! I think I need to get some of that Directions toner for my ombre hair. Do you feel like it helped with the brassiness?
CharliMarieTV it didnt help as much as i was expecting, i thought it would make it super blonde, but it did take out quite a lot of the brassiness :) thanks charli! xx E
It looks amazingggg!! and super pretty when curled and tied up! Makes me wanna go purple ombre too. When I get home I wanna do a blue/grey/slate ombre :D
Nice! Thank you for this video; I just bleached my hair and it's not very blonde, but about the same shade as yours and just ordered Directions Violet. I can't wait to put it on! Also I'm glad to see that you added conditioner to yours because I wasn't sure if I was supposed to add any or just apply it neat.
+Kestia Meshad that's awesome, I hope it goes well! I have done it a few times without conditioner and it does last slightly longer but I prefer the slightly softer look with the conditioner 😁
My only tip is to use foil with the bleaching process. It holds in the heat and lightens it more. The purple does not need the bag or foil. It looks BEAUTIFUL!
Holding colour totally depends on how porous your hair is. And when you strip the colour out of it, it tends to not hold on to colour well. My purple (which was done professionally) didn't hold. It lasted one wash before it was 90% gone. You try to build it up with time and then eventually the colour will stick. But it is such an effort tbh. And bleaching your hair is super damaging no matter how cool being bleached blonde is. In saying that I'll do it again haha. Bc bleached blondes (and girls with purple in their hair) have more fun.
Scout & Company thanks for your comment Britney, good to have your pro insights ;) and yeah mines washing out quite fast and its sooo much effort, but hey totes on teh same page and will keep doing it hahahaha :D xx Ellen
I had your photo from thumbnail in my phone and now I saw the video and was like.... I HAD NO idea it has its own tutorial (dont mind me, I just save -from time to time- inspirational hair pics) 😄
I knew that sounded like a kiwi accent! Hello fellow new zealanders, thankyou for the video, im dying my hair with la riche plum/violet today sooo scary! xx
Did you bleach the hair cuz I’m not going to be allowed to bleach and I don’t know how to get the color to actually show against my dark/medium brown hair with red. I also want dark purple
I feel like an idiot for asking this but what's the point in diluting hair dye with conditioner? To diffuse the color more or just to condition the hair/ prevent damage? Even with semi-permanent conditioning dyes I see people diluting it in conditioner but whyyyy? haha I'm genuinely curious bc I'm gonna go smokey lilac in the future
I add the conditioner to make it a lighter purple. It was quite a dark colour but if you buy the dark colour and mix it with conditioner, it works out cheaper and more economical than buying a pastel shade 😊
do you think if i put *toner* (which is a hair dye by la riche) on my entire *warm medium brown virgin hair* it will *cool down the warm tones*? Because i'd really like to then bleach an ombre and put color on it, but since my hair color is warm and has some natural orangy tones i don't think it would look pretty.. pls help?
toner doesn't really work on natural hair, only on dyed hair. And the la riche toner hardly even did anything to my dyed blonde ends, but maybe you could try talk to a proper hairdresser as I'm not super knowledgable about any of it :)
I really want to do this but I need to know if it would wreck my natural hair colour, I have light blonde hair and have never dyed my hair before, but i wanted lilac, really light bluish purple ombred just at the end of my hair, but I am scared incase it wrecks my hair, someone please give me advice
+BeYOUtiful Bears it usually lasts a couple of washes, so maybe a couple of weeks depending on how often you wash your hair and how well it holds the dye :)

Honestly, i thought the video was quite helpful. I enjoyed watching you girls do it and put your first time doing it on UA-cam! Looks great! Keep it up!
I’m doing that but more of a vibrant purple!! Love your hair btw!
Well, tips of your hair was already blond-ish. I came here to see brown hair's result😕
unfortunately you will not get good strong colour like this on brown hair, so I wanted to show that if you have brown hair, an important part of the process is dying the ends blonde like I did :)
yea me too and im disapointed.. :/
yea sure, you just tricked people and tried to get more views..

Did you bleach the hair cuz I’m not going to be allowed to bleach and I don’t know how to get the color to actually show against my dark/medium brown hair with red. I also want dark purple
Very pretty!
+Liesel Phillips thanks! ❤
I’m gonna try this Bc I have light brown hair but I’m doing my hair red
Good luck, hope it looks awesome!
shopstyleconquer it does except I decided to do it blue instead of red I’m really happy with the results

So pretty!!
+Ana Villanueva aww thank you!
Can i keep the dye for future use? And if so how long can i keep it for?
Yes. I'm not an expert but I kept mine for a year in an airtight container and it was fine!
Sooo pretty wow *thumbsup*
You guys should have tried the Schwarzkopf Live Pastel Colour range they sell them for like $8 at The Warehouse :D
+hello_harriet ooo awesome, will have to try that out next time :D xx E
first I just have 12%. 40vol developer so can you please tell me that is this okay for hair bleach?
do you think if i put *toner* (which is a hair dye by la riche) on my entire *warm medium brown virgin hair* it will *cool down the warm tones*? Because i'd really like to then bleach an ombre and put color on it, but since my hair color is warm and has some natural orangy tones i don't think it would look pretty.. pls help?

ok thanks for answering :)
Pink ombre please
Did it change your natural colour at all? I'm tempted to dye my bleached hair purple but I don't want it to change my roots at all
+Malibu Barbiie Delish it made it grey for quite a few weeks, definitely takes a while to wash out 😁
I really want to do this but I need to know if it would wreck my natural hair colour, I have light blonde hair and have never dyed my hair before, but i wanted lilac, really light bluish purple ombred just at the end of my hair, but I am scared incase it wrecks my hair, someone please give me advice
Brands like manic panic and directions are vegetable based and cause no damage. Unless you bleach your hair it should be fine. :)
Is that a bleach you used? and what brand colour etc of purple dye did you use??
If you listen to the video you'll hear me say I used the Loreal ombre kit and the directions violet hair dye, more details in the description box :)
Can I do this with blue?
Sure!
It looks so pretty
Thanks so much Cindy!
I love so much
How long did you stay with the dye in your hair ? Btw it looks gorgeous 💕
One or two hours, cant quite remember but I did say it in the video 😊
Video actually starts at 1:25
how long did it last on your hair ? sorry for my horrorfying english
about 10 washes :)
Would the dye come out fully out of light blonde hair , natural
I think if you washed it enough and maybe used the right shampoo it would, but it might stain blonde hair for a while :)
Where did u buy the purple hair dye??thanx
+alex midel eBay :)
Directionz doesn't need to be mixed. You just use the colour itself and that way you don't need to have blonde hair.
It so amazing 😕💕💕💕
bushra-h-la thank youuu
I loveeee so your hair soo much 💜💜
+Anissa Syavina Dewi thanks Anissa :)
me too szszsz
i want to dye mine purple too! i tried once but it came off immediately :(
GRACE MZZ Yeah this washes out quite fast which is disappointing! xx E
how long did you left the color on your hair ?
+Laura Theresa a couple of hours. Can't remember off the top of my head but if you listen to the video I say how long :)
And also , did the dye stain your hair ?
Yes if you keep dying it it will. But it depends on your hair type, everyone is different. I know some people who's it doesnt stain.
hey! what is this shade of hair dye called ?
It's violet, details and link in description box :)
How long did this hair dye last?
It depends how often you wash your hair. But sometimes 2 weeks or maybe even month. As I was reading it says it Lasts 3 to 6 weeks.
it lasted about 2 washes quite well and then it faded and left it stained for about 1-2 months :)
How long did it last?
+BeYOUtiful Bears it usually lasts a couple of washes, so maybe a couple of weeks depending on how often you wash your hair and how well it holds the dye :)
Is i permanent?
No as I said in the video, it's wash out dye. The blond is permanent though 😃
Pastel pink
is it permanente?
The purple washes out, the ombre kit/blonde is permanent :)
It looks great!
CaseClothed thank you :D xx E
the directions toner is meant to be mixed with the directions dye 😊
looks so good curled :)
+ViolaMxo yes i love how it curls too, thanks so much :D xx E
