You unfortunately borrowed Yato on S2. It's her S3 that deletes the boss. She flies forward five tiles and hits everything in her path. Since the boss is thicc this hits him over and over and melts him.
Funny thing is that her damage stacks and deals greater damage because of her passive on s3 too, the unfortunate thing is that the boss only had 4 tiles vertically so yato can't deal maximum damage but still a good pick
congrats on getting Gnosis, he's probably the strongest crowd controller in the entire game, though he needs full investment to function as intended, he kinda works ok before that but from my experience he's more useful as an endgame character also Degenbrecher is his body guard, so now that you have him, she'll surely come after him sooner or later use your last weekly event unlock

Her S2 is good too, but clearly not on par with her S3 against multi tile bosses. 3:30 : No need to wait to use Thorns' second S3, this skill is permanent. 8:02 : that's actually a snake mommy
So yeah… The Yato Alter you borrowed had the wrong skill equipped, hence the lack of boss melting. Otherwise the Thorns strat was working really well until the baiting issue. That means the sequel to "Clay learns how to read" is imminent, the mythical "Clay learns how to count"! PS. Thorns skill is inifinite duration on the 2nd time you use it, so no need to time its activation with the boss respawn
Im not annoyed, it’s just to prove a point that your healer is strong enough. After you said that placement doesn’t matter because your healer is not good enough. Since i started the game around the same time as you, i have similar unit raised to around the same level. it was the perfect opportunity to demonstrated medicmiya prowess by using your very own team/unit to beat it with different placement and letting medicmiya burst heal most of the damage from phase 1-3. It was also to help you beat it too, since you can easily replicate it with your own ops, the only op you don’t have is warfarin who fill the same role as gavial.

Youll do much better in this level if you mind your unit placement. The lightning strkes a + area around each unit it hits. So units adjacent to eachother will take extra unnecessary damage. This is part of why your healing strugles. Theres an entire sideline where you can place ranged units. Putting them up there will remove them from the doom beams and free up healing for your ground units. You ARE doing very well but you have some things you still need to work out. You really need A or S tier DPS. I recomend DPS to be your next major investment. Wis adel is very good with that which you have. So is Logos. But you need to see what it is you like to do and how you like to play to decide what you want to level.
As other said, is the other yato skill and for thorn you need to insta-pop his second skill activation. There are operators that have the unlimited duration mechanic, usually in the second activation...like typhon and thorn
i actually think surtr here is a safer bet than thorns. surtr can somewhat tank the boss attacks since her talent lets her be immortal for a few seconds (think it’s eight) when taking fatal damage. you just need to pop her S3 quickly and redeploy her for each boss phase. i’m pretty sure there’s a surtr guide for IW 9 out there on youtube, can’t remember by who but should be relatively easy to find.
gnosis is very good, level him up now lutonada is quite good, level her up now also greyy alter sucks, level him up now but regular greyy is worse, level him up now

It was a limited event that was done ONLY ONCE. so if you didn't get her during that time, rip. Good day, I'm new to the game and I need some advice in what to do. I'm on chapter 5 Ang most of my OP are level 50-40 E1. I don't know what to do. Especially with leveling up my OPs. Or which should I level up first. And when and who should I start to E2. Here are the OPs I mainly use: Logos, mountain, amiya, greythroat, lappland, cuora, perfumer, projekt red, hoederer (below leveled), and some 3 stars.
