Out of all the Sunfury Arcane guides I've seen, yours explains things in the most easy to understand way. All guides are saying the same thing, and the reasoning for the rotation is understandable. But most of them present it in such a way that just confuses and scares off new mages, making them think the class requires a PHD to play, when it's actually quite simple. Thank you for this guide. Great job.

I've just returned to play as mage and went Arcane and other guides have been helpful, but never really helped me understand the casting priority the way yours has. I switched to mage this season/xpac and have watched a few guides but none came close to how well this guide explains/visualize the rotation. This was so helpful, I was having a horrible time swapping over to arcane from frost as a beginner mage since there weren't that many guides thoroughly explaining how the spec works. Seemed like everyone expect you know what all these charges and procs mean lol

appreciate it, ive been playing with a rotation helper. Never knew what i had to track was just pressing buttons. first class was a melee class too but became to much apm quickly, so i really appreciate the terminology / tech for the caster class in general

Thank you for the kind words! Playing around Arcane Blast spellqueue will take prio as the extra damage from Burden of Power/Intuition/Nether Precision outweighs the free Barrages you may get from standing afar.

Great video man. The way I've been doing AoE with 4 charges is: Spam Barrage whenever at 4 charges (Often regens its charges), missiles to retain NP and build towards cleave, arcane orb to regen charges, then arcane explosion as filler. The damage seems good, but maybe yours is more consistent.

At 15:08, I noticed that when you only got one arcane charge with missiles, you used an arcane orb. If you get unlucky with arcane missiles and only get one arcane charge, any idea if it's better to use a second arcane missiles or use an arcane orb? I feel I've been seeing conflicting info on the priority here.
So "Arcane Missiles for Nether Precision or Arcane Charges" is higher on the priority, but I think it feels bad if you spend Clearcastings praying on the RNG for charges and end up munching a bunch of NP stacks. I would say if your first missiles didn't get you to two Arcane Charges then it's better to use an Arcane Orb rather than a second missiles as it's still a valid use case on the priority list and you don't munch NP stacks. You can then use the Clearcastings you saved for later on if you don't have an Orb available.
Great guide , I'm curious in these really low lvl (heroic dungeons) are you arcane explosion spamming a lot more then blasting 😅 almost no time to cast blast in such low content!
I am planning on making an SS guide. At the moment, Sunfury is beating out Spellslinger in every scenario so it's not very close but I expect some tuning buffs/nerfs soon and that could easily swing things.

Appreciate the support! Haste is alot better for Arcane now due to no double time warp. I recommend making gearing choices using Top Gear on Raidbots so you get the best stats based on your current gearing situation.

Yep lol you can use Arcane Explosion and Orb + Arcane Barrage spam in these lower difficulties since things die too fast for higher dps rotations
