    Oh, this explains how some people could easily gain like 20 second leads on everyone else even though nobody even crashed or anything. I was kinda debating if they had unlimited NOS or something. Thanks for the explanation

    Nice video, you learn quick for sure. The gear shift thing I was telling you about. Go to 2:32, your car was stuck in 5th. I would have tapped the nos really quick before the drift ended to get into 6th and also gain a little more speed. You don't need to hold it, just tap it as fast as you can and the car will shift up. I think the threshold on the viper is 334 so you can tap the nos anytime above that speed and get 6th gear. The benefits are you aren't using a second worth of NOS while your car shifts, you gain a little extra speed from your drift too and finally you get an instant boost of speed when you straighten out without delay. See ya on the track

      @adventurouseddie9369 2 роки тому

      @@diegomoran1923 I quickly tap the acceleration to initiate while right as I'm about to turn. During the drift you need to maintain the drift by flicking the stick left and right and when exiting keep that going until you've reached good speed it exit out of.
      Also important to use nitrous out of turns to capture lost speed if any or to push your car past it's limit
      My rule of thumb is to only use Rear Wheels for drifting since they benefit the most from drifts while All Wheels are better at taking the line. Also to consider is the amount of gears or top speed of the car, cars with less gears reach top speed easily and some cars with less speed benefit the most from nitrous.
      Prime example of this being the RX8, this car despite it's top speed can easily reach up to 180mph with a full tank of nitrous, another good example of the opposite is the Aston Martin One 77, it can reach 221mph but has gears widely spread out and doesn't benefit from nitrous boost. if

      imo the vid didnt say it best, basically you want to snap out of the drift without losing the drift- as you suddenly straighten out, you have to still be drifting, its a bit weird to explain
      lets say i nitro to over top speed approaching a corner, tap handbrake, get towards the end, start exiting the turn, straighten out back towards straight driving, but still drifting until the speed is back- dont stop drifting until your speed is back, you want to get straightened out as much as possible while staying in the drift and maintain it with crabwalking
      works in every car but the best for practice are super series ones like the black series and v12 vantage, they are STUPID levels of smooth in drifting

    The unoptimal way...how are you doing that without randomly going quickly against the left wall out of nowhere despite letting go of the acceleration and trying to start acceleration again once the car is pointed in the right direction? Hell, even when using NOS once pointed the correct way.. It seems impossible to turn corners. I had this problem in NFS Underground 2 back in the day, and NFS: High Stakes as a kid. you dont slow down on corners for this game like you do in the older ones, you tap the brake and enter a drift and hold onto it as you straighten out, if you hit the walls you are not drifting tight enough and if you hit the wall you are going around you arent crab walking out enough/had to go faster
