When the cars are EMP'ed, the engines didn't instantly shut down, does it? Same for helicopters: one hit does not completely destroy it, but damage it severe enough for them to abandon pursuit prematurely.
The helicopter actually leaves the pursuit. It's just one of the random lines picked by the game for the helicopter unit to say. There's a good chance though that the police will immediately just call in another helicopter.
@@razlight789 In multiplayer, this can be frustrating as police, as the time-on station is significantly reduced. Police have limited amount of times they can summon helicopters (or roadblocks). On the plus side, helicopter is a potential bait, as the racers' EMP can sometimes target them instead of police player they intend to target.

@@shtupidmate Or at the very least, reach 322 km/hr. (200 mph) Exotic can do just that, hypercars can do so quite easily.
You need a Hypercar in order to do it. Make sure that the road is straight enough for you to shoot the chopper.
