Claws of the Black Cat commandos- H&K PSG-1 sniper rifles

This one's a blast from the past- over a decade ago I was researching my book "Black Tornado" on the #26/11 Mumbai terror attacks-- I spent a lot of time with the Black Cat commandos of the 51 SAG. Among their unique weapons is the H&K Precision Shooting Gun or PSG-1. A deadly accurate semi-automatic Designated Marksman Rifle or DMR- born in the wake of the 1972 Munich Olympics terror attacks when the German GSG-9 found they didn't have DMRs to engage terrorists at extended ranges. The NSG acquired these in 1984 and went on to use them in Op Black Thunder around the Golden Temple in 1988. They've been used in every single NSG op since then, including 26/11.

Sometimes I think, Was & Is it still possible for AEWIL (OFB) to develop:-
(1) SLR (FN FAL) as a Modern DMR
(2) Indigenous version of RPK & RPG-7 ???
