If you use Rail Map Online, then you can easily find the path of old lines. Basically they've drawn where all the old railways were using Google Maps, and includes narrow gauge, industrial and old tram systems.
(Sorry for leaving 2 comments) It is like a tramway at Dewerstone in Devon there is a tramway there which has what I think is loading platforms and there is quarrying in the area.
Just remember the 'dry arch' and have seen the wharf several times. Excellent video.

Just had a quick look on google at the Dewerstone tramway. It looks very interesting and has been added to my list of many places to visit in Devon.
