A project always doomed to fail. They had knackered locos & rolling stock, no ambition, & most of all no money. The site will be cleared one day anyway for the reopening of the line to Plymouth, so would never have had a future. Just hope most of what's left will find a new owner. I do know the mk2 air-con stock is likely to get a new lease of life with a main line operator. The rest looks like it will be cut on site. Such a shame, but I'd rather see the line reopening with Network Rail as a through route again anyway.
Good to know some of the coaches will likely find a new home with a mainline operator. With the services to Okehampton starting again very soon hopefully it will not be too far in the future they deceide to reopen it all the way to Plymouth.
It's not an Immediate plan for reopening to Plymouth and the Dartmoor railway do still plan to reopen it again as a heritage railway (hopefully successful this time) but we will have to wait to find out what will happen to them
Most of these are no longer there….

@@pacermanthefan As likely as the Titanic being raised. Talking of which, the Ship being in better condition!
@@railfreightdrivergallagherGBRf If I remember correctly they still have stock, main issue is track and possible Dartmoor line extensions
@@pacermanthefan They don't anymore. It's dead and gone years ago. The Leah's saw to that! That's life.
Those poor carriages lots of disused driving carriages from thumper and third rail emus just hope someone puts it to good use
It was very sad to see them in such poor condition, I really hope they find a good new home
Very nice, and the same time it's sad. Greetings from Spain.
