Disused Pontsmill branch
Переглядів 1943 роки тому
The short branch off the line to Newquay that served the clay dries at Pontsmill. Also some narrow gauge track I found. Some great photos of it in use here www.cornwallrailwaysociety.org.uk/pontsmill-branch.html

Dewerstone Quarry tramway and Branch line
Переглядів 1143 роки тому
The tramway around Dewerstone quarries near Plymouth. Also the unfinished branch line that was planned to join to the quarries but was never finished because the land owner refused to allow a bridge over the River Meavy. Thanks to Jacob's Train Videos for recomending this place.

Old tracks around Sutton harbour - Original GWR broad gauge track
Переглядів 4323 роки тому
A few remaining sections of track around Sutton harbour in Plymouth. Some of the track was dual gauge as it was used by both the LSWR and GWR. There is a very small section of surviving GWR broad gauge rail which is the only example of GWR broad gauge track in the country that is still in situ.

That SW1001 shows how powerful its EMD 645 prime mover really is with that cut of cars!
Get lorries off the roads and start using these rail lines
I've been stressing about building a decent model railway and how much time it will take. Seeing your layout is an inspiration and I hope I can make something half as good in twice the time!
Hi. Haven’t seen anything from you for a couple of years now. Hope you’re doing ok. Are you still running layouts or is real life taking up too much time?
Thank you
Dont know why but Oliver Postgate come to mind nice.
Most of these are no longer there….
For those who want to see them there’s a short section at the end near the original junction still there as the rails were pulled up for a cycle way the rails are now at the Dean forest railway
I know the area, very interesting thanks.
From calstock Station to gunnislake station its quite a steep climb uphill, i was told its nearly 400 ft in elevation.
Last Welsh coal train ran yesterday from Cwmbargoed, end of an era.
Very nice. What uncouplers are you using and how many did you need to make this work - unless, of course, it is the great hand from above!!
Excellent Video,more please.
The original version was the most garish colours I've seen!
Part of the siding is still somwtimes used🎉
The last trains from Cwmbargoed are the end of 2023. Mike in Wales
Fascinating video - i wonder what DBs plans are?
Fantastic to see photos of the operation taken in the 40's. No-one has shown these before when exploring Moncton Farleigh. A*
Now if you live in callington you have to drive a polluting car, thanks beeching!
Good work on the refurbishment of this old model train. Would love to see what livery this will become. I have recently covered on in the Hornby 1995 Freight Hauler train set review that will be live next weekend :).
class66の機関車はかっこいい❗👍🇬🇧
Is it hard to get to the stored wagons
no
My parents owned a cottage [beam end/ lower view] just past Chilsworthy Halt, in the early '70s. We used to walk our dogs along the track, it wasn´t so overgrown then! Nice memories .
Needs to be put back along the Teign Valley all the way to Exeter as a Dawlish relief
I've had this trainset in my possesion never knew what to do with it time to put it to good use
That mile post is almost certainly 5 miles from Bere Alston, the junction station for the Callington branch.
And the hand if God came to the rescue!! Great little micro layout. Well presented video which goes to show you don't need a nega layout to have fun.
What size is the layout
Hi Thanks for putting this video up ,you sound like quite a young man it's good that you are interested in things like this Regards Chris 😌😌
I would rather only remove the rails to re-lay the track layout on the road for trams to run through the harbour, although I probably would've experimented using hydrogen powered trams since there might not be much space to install overhead power lines....
Very nice!
Nice to see the real one and your great model too👍👍👍👋
Nice layout, simple and effecient track plan. Nice scenery as well. May I know the size please ? Thanks
🚂🚂👍👍
Nice little setup, so relaxing to watch this.
Hi can you please tell me , are your shunters kit built or a catalogue purchase. I,m in need of 2 or 3 if possible. Regards Dennis
The shunter is a repainted hornby bagnall which you can buy for about £40 or cheaper second hand
great video I see these trains coming past my house every day
simple but effective shunting...
Was there nothing that hadn't rusted away
Lovely video. Thank you.
You have cool channel I’m definitely subscribing 👍 I’m thinking of making something similar as soon as I’m finished with my layout 😀
Thankyou I'm glad you like the videos
Super cool good job 👍
Thankyou
I love how you incorporated the passenger train into the operations too. Something not frequently seen but it is a great touch!
Thankyou
another great layout and running session, keep up the good work. Tom
Thankyou
very nice little layout and running session, thanks for sharing. Tom
Thankyou glad you enjoyed
just visited here today, very cool!
Cool well done.
Thanks
Very nice little layout
Many thanks!
In the USA folk would use this for a Sunday " speeder " run ... sadly Network Rail would not allow this ( ? ) see video [ Speeders to Hazens * Re Upload * ] .. and admire the freedom the US folk enjoy .. including videos [ RanOutOnARail ] ....
Very beautiful layout 🤩👍👏👌
Thankyou very much
