They still toured Québec a few years ago. No huge arena shows, but we really fell in love with them in the 80s. Still brings a smile to my face to be honest.

@@MrPedro9128 c'est que vous ne le suivez pas vraiment. Quand une chanson n'est pas terrible à son goût et bien oui il le fait savoir mais avec tact. Celle ci a été approuvée.
Dans toutes les fêtes entre amis ou mariages, il y a la compagnie créole, "les démons de minuit" du groupe Image" et aussi "Maldon du groupe "souk machine" 😊

One of the most popular groups from the West Indies in the 80's whose festive songs have become "classics" which are often played at balls, weddings, student parties to have fun and party until the end of the night .

En tant que photographe de mariage, je peux vous dire que ça ne s’est jamais arrêté. Dans 3 mariages sur 4 on a droit à la Compagnie Créole, Claude François, Patrick Sébastien et ses serviettes, quand ce n’est pas la Chenille avec les gens accrochés les uns aux autres qui se suivent jusque sur le parking à l’extérieur… 😁

Edit: They're actually from Martinique and other Antilles islands. Much closer to Puerto Rico then I thought. Leaving the rest of the (wrong ) comment..
They're from the French Guyana.. it's not that far from Puerto Rico, but not that close either. But there is sure to by cross pollination with the neighborhing Latin American countries surrounding it as far as music and culture. I'm sure that's a factor in why it seems familiar to you as a Puerto Rican.
Tres sympa, La Compagnie Creole. A lot of fun. Simple but catchy and efficient. It's biguine, a creole style of musique (from the Martinique/Guadeloupe islands).
Ça fait rire les oiseaux is a song of theirs that my dad used to listen to when I was a kid.
Ehh Dereck this French band did not copy the Village People because originally it was a "French" style and you should know that it was also French producers who created the Village People in 1977 (Jacques Morali and Henri Belolo) and the idea of the costumes is also theirs. Ok village People is an American band but the creation is French...

OMG! I love la compagnie créole! Now that I'm a grownup, it's not my favorite song of theirs, but can you imagine being a kid and listening to that song over and over? Happy vibes! The lyrics say the lady can't stop dancing, but I couldn't stop singing, because the song is so simple and so repetitive.
It would be nice if you could do another song of theirs. I kinda thought you had already done one (ça fait rire les oiseaux), but maybe not? Anyways, speaking of latin music, I was thinking you might want to try reacting to some sertanejo. It's kind of the brazilian equivalent of country music.
