The Miller in Rattay will buy your stuff. But I don't think he will until you steal the ring from the executioner for him. Then he will tell you the other miller's that will buy stolen goods
The save system does seem very inconvenient. Hopefully, they've changed it for KCD2. That man is a Conartist, he having fever dreams lol. Damn, Henry was so mean hahaha.
Once you can make your own the save system isn't a problem but no matter what anyone says I still find it inconvenient in a way that isn't interesting or fun at the start of the game.

If you talk to captain Bernard. He can teach you master strikes and then be able to counter the enemy alot better
