I know I'm in minority when I say I got to know about this channel from this video. I'm not much into tech space and I'm only familiar with mega big names. But she's got this amazing voice and great personality, I think I've found my lunch time watch channel. What a great review.

Very good review. Please help me understand if the display on s23 ultra affects the eyes due to low pwm compared to s24 ultra ?
Bought my S23 Ultra back in February. I've tried about 5 different phones since then (Fold 5, Flip 5, Pixel Fold, Motorola Flip, and Pixel 8 Pro). The one I i keep coming back to is the S23 Ultra. You're right. The hardware is just so polished and premium and combined with that excellent camera and gorgeous screen for content, it's such a win for Samsung!!
Even the iphone 15 PM for me and I get back to S23 Ultra 😅

Was not into Samsung before but seeing the s23 ultra and holding it was different from all the phones I had before. Just got it today and I must say that even though it has been 10 months since Samsung released this, it is still good.

I love seeing the same device improve over time and get new features through software updates.
I have the Samsung Galaxy S23+ and now with One UI 6.0 December 1st patch is an amazing option.
I have the 512GB of Storage and with its 8GB of Ram it's a beast as well.

The S23 Ultra was by far the best phone I have EVER owned. I hated going back to an iphone 14PM, but using social media so much, the app optimization is just so much better on iOS. Not to mention there are a few apps I use where the iOS version has more features than the Android version (which never made sense to me).
But if the S24 Ultra is good, I might just jump ship because I've always preferred Android.

@@nistafunny5128 for everything other than 'professional' social media use, I would say so. The only reason why I switched back to my iPhone was due to how well integrated the camera is in all of the social apps I use; Tiktok, Insta, Twitter, etc.
Photos and video looked AMAZING when taken with the S23 camera and then uploaded to said apps, but taking the time to do that in certain situation just isn't ideal.
Photos and videos taken inside apps directly always look great on iOS, and due to my line of work that's very important.
Otherwise for literally EVERYTHING else, I would still have my S23 Ultra today.

+ BATTERY (just wow!)
+ SCREEN (wow again! Convenient size, you can do so much. I barely use my laptop/tablet. Perfect to watch videos)
+ SOFTWARE (Reliable every single time. One UI is like an upgraded stock Android. Floating windows are amazing, DEX is unique)
+ PEN (perfect for micro-selections, convenient for photo editing, great for translating safeguarded apps where copying/taking a snip is not allowed)
+ESIM (convenient and adds extra security)
+ Works great with SAMSUNG ecosystem (TVs, earbuds, watch)
+ Work profile (an android feature but still great)
- CAMERA (great for videos, average for stills. Do not expect miracles. The blur, especially in dark environments is real. Playing with the PRO settings is not optimal for a quick snap. Camera is inferior to PIXEL and iPhone in my opinion)
- ECOSYSTEM ( the Samsung ecosystem is good but products feel beta, except the TVs)
- Missing a good watch companion (not related to S23 directly, but watch-phone bundle is becoming important for a bunch of consumers. The watch is perfect as health companion but not for information e.g. missing stock apps)
Overall, reliable android phone. A productivity machine. I recommend it for the widgets, pen, floating windows, DEX. I do not recommend it if you want a companion watch and great, not just average camera. If this is the case for you, go for an iPhone.

@@kb2696 Better than most considering the killer performance and the huge and bright screen you get. A solid 2 day phone. One day if you game a lot and use social media.

I chose the 7 pro over the 7a due to the QHD+ diplay and over the S23 Ultra / Pixel 8 due to price.

Watching this on an Apple iPhone X 2017. I got the chance to check the features out on the Samsung S23 Ultra. You mentioned the zoom part which changes the colour temperature so quickly.

This phone is quite nostalgic. For example that front facing video reminded me of a Sony Ericsson phone I owned 20 years ago that recorded in QVGA resolution
Fantastic video, Jacklyn! I definitely like seeing one of the main devices released in 2023 being looked at again 11 months down the road. I say 11 months because I received my preorder from T-Mobile 11 days before the device's official launch. :D Truly, this has been the first Samsung device I have wanted to keep longer than a few months since the S9+ and Note 9.

Yes, that is very correct than doing a later review or after 10 or more months' review of devices is very helpful for a lot of consumers. Some can afford one, but saving a few bucks is still a great incentive knowing you can buy a 10 months old flagship.
I agree with you that this phone has held up very well! It's most impressive!

Still running my S22 Ultra. Devices these days, retain usability so much better now than past devices. I look at all my device purchases as an investment over years. Used my Note 5 for 4 years, 5 months. Used my Note10+ for a bit over 2 years but that was due to a manufacturing defect in the front glass. (No drops, just cracked on the side while I was holding it in my hand, under the screen protector)
So made the purchase of the S22 Ultra and have enjoyed it ever since. Hoping it doesn't have the same issue the N10+ had.
Many people were unhappy with the S22 due to it's poorly optimised GPU, you would probably find the S23 to be amazing by comparison. I'm still using an S21U, great phone

And maybe this sounds a bit crazy but how about 2 generation old smartphones which can be a good alternative based on long-term software support from manufacturers

S23 ultra now is going for 900 euros in croatia and new standard s24 has the same price tag
I think the s23 ultra is the first phone that is worth keeping for another year. From report, the s24 ultra isn't standing out much. If the s24 ultra improve in image quality and battery life then I might consider it. AI stuff did not interest me. But when it comes to updates it is overrated because Google updates don't bring much as far as features. Samsung is already feature packed that i much rather wait for Samsung to update their phones. Google updates are so minor that it doesn't feel like an update at all
You should not upgrade a mobile phone from year to year period .
That is more reason why pixel flagship cost less compare to Samsung and Apple

The S23 is really nice, but I can't bring myself to spending $1,200 on a phone. I'll stick to considering getting the S20 FE.
I really like how Samsung optimizes their software. The fact I can use a third party launcher (Niagara Pro) with the Good Lock modules is a huge win. The display is so beautiful and animations are butter. Plus, the battery is excellent as well - it can last more than a day (2 days if without gaming).

Wish someone would ask Samsung why no dual eSIM capability! It’s important to me. iPhones and Pixels have the feature.
Grabbed a mint condition 512gb s23 ultra(including 3 leather cases) with a galaxy watch4 classic included for $750 off swappa the other day, I sent the watch in for a $200 trade-in on a galaxy watch6 classic...amazing deals out there if you shop around

I love this phone. It's the best phone I've ever had. The battery is really really good, considering I use it at 120hz and 2K.

I had Note 20 Ultra and S22 Ultra before S23 Ultra and this phone is what Note 20 Ultra should have been. Battery is awesome display is excellent camera zoom is amazing first time I am not going to upgrade and keep this one for another year. Dropped from 5 meters and the phone is like new only had screen protector not glass :)
When it comes to Android phones, Samsung galaxy s23 ultra and the Google Pixel 8 Pro is my best phone for 2023 👌🔥🔥💯

I newly bought it. Im really happy this far. I upgraded from S8 that i was really happy with. Sad to had it let go. The battery life was not great at the end. And the screen had missing pieces in two corners and had some cracks.

@kb2696 it depends on the usage.. but I would say 1-2 days or longer. It really comes down to what settings are, wifi, cellular reception, screen brightness.. etc..
What's connected and not.. what features are on and off. Background apps running and other background activities.

I’m so happy that Samsung is going to flat screen with the S 24 curved screens have prevented me from buying one
I hear ya on that. The S22 Ultra is only my third Android phone since switching from iPhones in late 2015, and my first experience with Samsung's curved, "Infinity O" display.
The concept seems cool at first - since it makes the device appear & feel a bit slimmer in the hand - and it's nice for viewing content, but that's about it.
The S-pen can run off the side if you're writing, sketching, or Swyping quickly with it, and worst of all, the phone feels like a slippery bar of soap if you're using it without a case (which, TBF, I never do outside of my home 😅).
I kept semi-cringing as Jacklyn was filming with it on the street, hoping that she wouldn't drop it, but almost expecting that she would. 😬

S23 ultra just awesome before buying this masterpiece i was thinking this was a very big phone to hold or carry but after buying i m using this without any issu the in hand fell is far way better then 14 pro max and this one 234 grams but i didn't feel that like weight distribution just awesome. I just love with the design build quality.and one ui is just mind-blowing ❤i m really enjoying

Even though it's been 10 months since its release, Samsung did an excellent job in creating the S23 Ultra!
Looking forward to what Sammy will show us in the coming release of the S24 series.
