Took my son to this show for a surprise birthday gift. He was blown away by Buckethead. We are both huge fans. Thank you Buckethead for giving my son a great 17th birthday.

Not much can be said other then amazing.
It’s like under $20 bucks a ticket, you get to have your face melted for nearly 2 hours standing only feet from one of the best guitarists of our time. Hands out toys. Best value for any performance out there. Where as these main stream doofus’s charge 60 bucks and up for you to stand 100 yards away in the nose bleed while you get to listen to them prance around the stage lip syncing to their own CD for 45 mins and you sit in traffic trying to leave.

When I was 16 I went to school dressed as Buckethead for Halloween. Yellow Rain suit, KFC bucket, FUNERAL sign, long hair wig and kabuki mask. And I wore my guitar the whole day and was just jamming everywhere I went. Had one of those mini battery powered marshall stacks in my back pocket haha. Even during class the teachers kept telling me to knock it off and I would maybe give them 5 or 10 minutes and then start noodling again haha... I got a whole lot of "what the fuck are you supposed to be??" But that just made it that much cooler, to me at least. Oh and I'm 36 now... so that was 20 years ago! haha. It's been a while since I thought about that, but right now I'm shit-eating-grinning like a fool remembering it...

Your comparing them as they play today as opposed to what Jimi played some 48 years ago to today's incredible new players who were not even born when both Jimi & Page were at their height. If Jimi were alive today as great as he was then what do think he would be like now. You just can't make those comparisons to old & new as way to many years have past. Rock then was not like it is these days with the Tech side being up front. What we hear today came from the players of years ago. I love all these new players as well but you just can't make comparisons over the span of time that has transpired. Also remember that it was the old guy's that broke down the barriers were artists had to follow what the record companies wanted & what the artists wanted, they gave musicians back the choice to play the music they wanted & control of how they wanted it go. There is no contest for sure as the years have put a huge gap in between equipment & playing styles.Let's not forget that all these players like Joe & John & Danial site Jimi & Jimmy even Buckethead sites them as major influences & that surely means a lot
