Change is an inevitable and necessary part of growth and adaptation. However, for many large and complex organizations the journey of scaling better ways of working can feel like an uphill battle, with obstacles and challenges at every turn. Despite these challenges, as change makers we push forward with a conviction that there is a better way and a sense of responsibility to improve the organisation. But where is the tipping point? Is there a “save-state” where we can be confident the change has stuck, allowing focus on the next improvements that can be made.
Through the context of applying the practices and concepts you’ll have learnt at DOES over the years, in this session we’ll explore the concept of “making it stick”, ensuring that the change is resilient to leadership wobbles, setbacks and can have a lasting impact.
We’ll share practical and actionable strategies from the trenches of large scale organisational change for IT and business leaders supporting their organizations' through this change journey. We’ll examine the different types of resistance faced when driving change, including cultural, technical, and psychological barriers and how this can be turned into creating an enduring commitment to establishing the methods and systems necessary for better ways of working.
